The Woman

CONTINUES

in the Third and Last Woman in the book of the Revelation

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. (Genesis 6:4) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5)

This series called Men of Renown will begin with these verses in Chapter 6 of the book of Genesis because it is the perfect scene setter for whatever and whoever follows that enables men of renown to act in conflict against God and His Word. Verses 4 and 5 are an accurate definition of men of renown.

Since this is part 2 then there must have been a part 1. This is what you missed: PART 1. Part 1 is all about a woman who sits upon a scarlet coloured beast. The game plan is to cover all SIX mentions of a woman, and the woman in Revelation Chapter 17 of Revelation.

1. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (Revelation 17:3)

2. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: (Revelation 17:4)

3. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. (Revelation 17:6)

4. And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. (Revelation 17:7)

5. And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. (Revelation 17:9)

6. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (Revelation 17:18)

In order to learn about the woman, we need to first understand the scarlet colored beast and its relationship to the woman on its back. Sooooooo . . . part 1 began a study of the word scarlet. CLICK HERE to be safely redirected to PART 1.

Clothed in Scarlet Garments of Sin and Delight

Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with [other] delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel. (2nd Samuel 1:24)

This verse in 2nd Samuel, Chapter 1, was from the broken heart of the man of God, David, God’s chosen king. We have followed the word scarlet through the Law of First Mention, through the use of time and numbers, and through placement of the word scarlet in scripture, through the Law of the Leper and the red heifer, through the table of shewbread in the holy place, and through the battle at Jericho and the line of the scarlet thread with the harlot Rahab, and now we will see the covering scarlet that Saul clothed the daughters of Israel with.

Although 2nd Samuel is our leading verse in this section of our study of scarlet, it is needful for us to read 1st Samuel, Chapter 31 in order to grasp the totality within the word scarlet that is mentioned in the next book of 2nd Samuel. It is very appropriate that the book of Samuel is divided from each other at the point of Saul’s death.

Saul was a man who was chosen by the people because of his handsomeness and his height and for nothing else. This is how the majority of the people selected their leaders in times past, but now in our age, people no longer select/elect their leaders they merely blindly accept whoever is selected for them. Although we no longer select/elect those who rule over us, they are still chosen because of their looks and their pliability and usefulness to their puppeteers. And he had a son, whose name [was] Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and [there was] not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward [he was] higher than any of the people. (1st Samuel 9:2) Saul was anointed to be king by the prophet Samuel with a vial of oil and not by a horn of oil. Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? (1st Samuel 10:1)

Chapter 13 is one of the primary chapters that signifies evil. Notice the numbers: refusing to follow Jehovah’s instruction to wait for Samuel, Saul took it upon himself to act in the place of God’s appointed priest, and he offered a sacrifice to God when it was not his place to do so. Here again we have rebellion against God, and Saul’s kingdom became lost to him. And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. (1st Samuel 13:13) Remember the sin of Uzziah in the beginning of this article (Part 1) . . . . although king Uzziah came later in the history of Israel, the sin of Uzziah was as old as sin itself. It was the sin of Lucifer, and the sin of Saul, to place themselves into positions of priesthood, thus in Lucifer attempting to usurp Melchisedec’s position as the High Priest of God, and in Saul attempting to usurp Samuel place as the priest and prophet of God. Saul’s desire was to be king, priest and prophet over the people of God. It was not enough for Saul to be king, as it is never enough for most rulers to be in a high position, they MUST rule with MORE power and with MORE control. Those who crave power over others are those who have no power over themselves. This may be the reason that we are beginning to see that in those who weld great power over others are pedophiles, abusers of themselves, and are filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful. (Romans 1:29 – 31)

Again, I will remind you to always note the numbers, compare 1st Samuel Chapter 13 with 1st Samuel Chapter 31. In Chapter 13 we have the sin of Saul and in Chapter 31 we have the death of Saul and all those who followed him because 31 is a result and reverse reflection of 13. Sin and death are linked together even in the numbers.

And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. (1st Samuel 13:9)

And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him. (1st Samuel 13:10)

And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; (1st Samuel 13:11)

Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. (1st Samuel 13:12)

And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. (1st Samuel 13:13)

But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee. (1st Samuel 13:14)

It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night. (1st Samuel 15:11) And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. (1st Samuel 15:22)

And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. (1st Samuel 15:28)

In the 31st Chapter of 1st Samuel we have the tragedy of those who follow a king who does not obey God. Saul was a liar, a usurper, a man who refused to obey God and His word; even ‘good’ men are led into the wrong battle, at the wrong time, following the wrong man.

Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa. (1st Samuel 31:1) And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul’s sons. (1st Samuel 31:2)

So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together. (1st Samuel 31:6)

Have you ever wondered why Jonathan died alongside his father and his two brothers on the same day together? A nation cannot survive divided, if Jonathan or his brothers had lived then Saul’s dynasty would have continued. Although Jonathan had given up his inheritance and claim to the throne, if he had survived, or if any of his brothers had survived, there would have been Israelites who would have continued to follow the line of Saul. God’s divine plan was constructed around the man of His choosing, a man after the heart of God, David.

The Holy Spirit of God makes it very clear that Jonathan’s souls was knit together with the soul of David, (1st Samuel 18:1) and that Jonathan and David had made a covenant together to always have each other’s back. Three times this covenant is documented in scripture. (1st Samuel 18:3; 20:16; 23:18) In 1st Samuel 18:4, Jonathan, heir to the throne of Israel, stripped himself of his right of inheritance and passed his right to the throne as king over to David. And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that [was] upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle. Would not God honor this action of Jonathan in honoring God’s chosen man? Everything that Jonathan did regarding David was worthy of honor. So, what happened that would cause Jonathan to fight beside his father and brothers against the Philistines. The Philistines were enemies of Israel, and therefore, they were the enemies of both Saul and of David. The battle was clearly defined, and Saul and David fought (as one army) against the Philistines. In a great house, the earthly kingdom of God, there are vessels of honor and vessels of dishonor. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.(2nd Timothy 2:20) Saul was a vessel of dishonor and David was a vessel of honor. It is not the enemy that defines the vessel. It is WHOM the vessel follows that defines the vessel. It is God who defines the vessel for His service. This principle is seen in Philippines 1:15 – 18.

Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:8) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Romans 8:9)

God was displeased with Saul because of Saul’s refusal to obey God. It was NOT because of Saul’s military actions. Saul’s kingdom was removed from him because of rebellion. And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. (1st Samuel 15:22) For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. (1st Samuel 15:23)

Although Jonathan loved David, and although he had relinquished his inheritance to God’s chosen king, David, Jonathan also made an error of choice. In 1st Samuel 23:18 is the last time that we see David and Jonathan together when they made a covenant before the LORD. After this meeting, they separated as friends united in their covenant together, but also notice where they went: that is the key to why Jonathan died beside his father Saul, God’s vessel of dishonor, and Jonathan’s two brothers. And they two made a covenant before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house. When it came time to decide who they would stand next to in the battle against their common enemy: David ABODE IN THE WOOD, and Jonathan WENT TO HIS HOUSE. Notice how the Spirit of God uses the word wood: This implies much more than a forest or a place of protective cover, its spiritual application is to the CROSS of Christ. That when man gathers INTO the wood, into the sufferings and redemptive plan of salvation then they are strengthened in God.

And David saw that Saul was come out to seek his life: and David was in the wilderness of Ziph in a wood. (1st Samuel 23:15) And Jonathan Saul’s son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God. (1st Samuel 23:16) And he said unto him, Fear not: for the hand of Saul my father shall not find thee; and thou shalt be king over Israel, and I shall be next unto thee; and that also Saul my father knoweth. (1st Samuel 23:17) And they two made a covenant before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house. (1st Samuel 23:18)

There were two battle fronts: Saul leading one front and David leading the other, both battles were directed against the same enemy, but from two different leaders and from two different directions and two different goals. The weakness in this was Saul considered David to be his enemy; therefore, he sought to fight two enemies instead of one. The greater tragedy is that Saul did not seek God’s mind in how to approach and fight the enemy. I know nothing about military operations, but I would think that a good military leader first wars against the most preeminent threat, and secondly, he employs all of his forces even those whom he personally dislikes. There is no room in battle to allow for allies to deliberately kill allies. (The rulers and controllers of the military industrial complex of the United States have no loyalty toward their allies because as Saul, the greater agenda is to always be the only one in CONTROL.) Jonathan could have chosen to fight alongside of David, but when he was faced with joining his natural family in the fight, and fighting besides his spiritual family, Jonathan chose his earthly ties and he died beside his earthly family. This is a choice that many have been faced within the greatest battle of the ages: stand with the professors or stand with the possessors. (Antipas chose to stand alone possessing and defending the Word of God.) Sometimes because of the lack of discernment between the natural and the supernatural, many cast their lot WITH those who are in the rebellious majority AGAINST God rather than stand alongside rebels who are WITH God.)

Side Note: Compare the state and condition of the people who followed David, ‘Beloved, ‘ and those who follow the ‘Beloved of God’ the Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ.

• David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father’s house heard it, they went down thither to him. (1st Samuel 22:1) And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.(1st Samuel 22:2)

• And great multitudes came unto him, having with them [those that were] lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them: (Matthew 15:30) Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel. (Matthew 15:31)

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:17) ♦ End of Side Note.

Yet and in spite of Jonathan’s sure devotion to David and relinquishing his inheritance as future king to God’s chosen man (David) . . . . Jonathan went to his house. Jonathan’s filial devotion to his father and family was greater than his devotion to God’s chosen ‘beloved’ of God, David. The same principal of which filial devotion one follows determines life and death: the filial devotion of the natural or the filial devotion to God the Father in the Beloved Son of God, the Supernatural Man, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:34) For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. (Matthew 10:35) And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. (Matthew 10:36) He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. (Matthew 10:37)

This principle that GOD and His Christ ARE FIRST before ALL others is extremely relevant in our age of confusion. Many mothers and fathers have chosen the depraved sins of their offspring OVER the WORD of GOD. Be warned and be prepared because one day unexpectedly you may have to suddenly proclaim your love and allegiance to Christ above your parents, or above your children, or even above your church.  Choose ye this day whom you will follow.  Abide in the wood of the cross of Christ or return to your house. And they two made a covenant before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house. (1st Samuel 23:18)

Clothed in Scarlet Garments of Self Glorification

Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with [other] delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel. (2nd Samuel 1:24)

Saul caused many to weep because of what they had lost in material wealth and in glory. Here the word scarlet is connected to the glorification of mankind. God labeled the daughters of Israel with their narcissistic obsession to be admired, thus, the Spirit of God used apparel of scarlet and ornaments of gold to reveal the hearts of the people. However, David, in Chapter 1 of 2nd Samuel, praised the bravery of Saul and Jonathan in battle, yet there is condemnation for the daughters of Israel, for their weeping and sorrow was for themselves. It was because of Saul’s battles with the Philistines, that the daughters of Israel were able to cover themselves with DELIGHTS. War makes men wealthy, and their daughters important; war makes men dead, and their daughters poorer.

Side Note: When writing about war especially wars of the ancients, one cannot help but see the similarities of the wars that have become as gods to our current age. At this date (April 25, 2023) it is also impossible to comprehend the blood thirstiness of the Democrat/Republican/Uniparty of the United States. It is not their children who will be sent to die and to be maimed. Their demand for war is cloaked in a false righteous narrative of a delusion of morality.

The people of the Ukraine have suffered and will continue to suffer because of the interference and political manipulation of the United States since 1983 and onward. Do you think that this war is a current happening? This war has been in the planning stages for decades. Yet very few today can see the strings of the puppeteers or hear the war drums pounding away in the distant past during the Clinton syndicate operations in the Middle East and in Eastern Europe. Remember, a famous person once said, ‘we came, we saw, he died,’ that was obviously the international policy of Mrs. Clinton’s era. In other words, their policy has been and IS ‘Obey us or we will destroy you.’

When you track the word ‘delight‘ in scripture, you will find some interesting connections.

They delight in lies.  They only consult to cast [him] down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. (Psalm 62:4)

They delight in war. Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, [till every one] submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people [that] delight in war. (Psalm 68:30)

They delight in scorning, How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? (Proverbs 1:22)

They delight in frowardness (rebellion) Who rejoice to do evil, [and] delight in the frowardness of the wicked; (Proverbs 2:14)

They have no delight to understand. A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. (Proverbs 18:2) ♦ End of Side Note.

The sorrowful words of David by God the Holy Spirit disclose the thoughts of God concerning Jonathan. God looked on Jonathan and saw him as the beauty of Israel, slain upon thy high places, mighty in battle, and as a weapon of God (among weapons) that perished. God honored Jonathan in these words because Jonathan had honored the man of God’s choosing: David. The phrase how are the mighty fallen is recorded three times in scripture, and all in 2nd Samuel, Chapter 1.

• The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen! (2nd Samuel 1:19)

• How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, [thou wast] slain in thine high places. (2nd Samuel 1:25)

• How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished! (2nd Samuel 1:27)

Jonathan died in battle fighting beside others (alongside his father – Saul) who had been rejected by God. Make sure that when you fight a spiritual battle that those who fight beside you are like minded and have spiritual weapons equal to your weapons. This principal of understanding that the weapons of a spiritual war involve evolving battles. Throughout time, the battles have differed; the battles of the early church required weapons that were foundational in structural strength as Gershon’s role in their responsibility in the things of the Tabernacle. The family of Gershon were responsible for the foundation items, such as the bars, pillars and boards.) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25) Then as the enemies of Christ overcame the foundational barriers that separated the righteous from the ungodly, then the church required weapons of separation and division as in Merari’s role in their responsibility in the things of the Tabernacle. The family of Merari were responsible for the coverings, cords, and curtains and everything that either joined the things of God together or separated the world from the things of God.) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you. (2nd Corinthians 6:17) And finally and lastly, our weapons in the era of the total failure of the collective church also require different weapons. Think of our weapons today as Kohath’s responsibility in their responsibility in the things of the Tabernacle. (The family of Kohath were responsible for everything that spoke of the GODHEAD, the heavenly things, and that represented the service and ministry of Melchisedec and the service of the earthly priesthood. All the Holy things which were contained WITHIN the holy place, and WITHIN the holy of holies (even the curtains) were under the care of the sons of Kohath. See what happens when you do not read previous articles because Gershon, Merari and Kohath and their responsibilities were very important. CLICK HERE (and around page 20 in the article you will find the connection) to read more about the Tabernacle and those who were responsible for the things of God because it ALL relates to our responsibilities today.)

Collective fellowship can only be spiritually strong as the spiritual strengths of the individuals within the collective.

It is no longer the role of the collective to carry the things of God, but it is NOW to the individual to stand strong IN the Lord and IN the power of HIS might. The collective Church has failed. This is an extremely difficult principal for most Christians to understand because they have been for a very long time depending on the strength and weapons of others through the appeal of ‘a social fellowship’ instead of developing the strength and weapons IN Christ alone. It is through Revelation 3:20 and 21 that we are able to see the principal of ‘any man’ as the individual overcomer. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Collective fellowship can only be spiritually strong as the spiritual strengths of the individuals within the collective. When ‘fellowship’ becomes centered around a place, and around others in a place, then the comprehension of ‘fellowship’ has failed. It is fellowship WITH God IN Christ that is our last remaining weapon.

Chapter 6 in the book of Ephesians is the individuals’ use of spiritual weaponry. The armor covers one person. You cannot get into the same battle gear of another warrior. (Here physics and spirituality have a common ground.) Every Christian has his own personalized armor. You cannot live in the strength of another Christian. You can learn from another Christian, you can be encouraged, you can battle side by side, but you cannot share his weapons when in battle. Every Christian has his own sword, his own breastplate of righteousness, his own shoes, and his own shield, and his own helmet.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (Ephesians 6:10)

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13)

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (Ephesians 6:14)

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (Ephesians 6:15)

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (Ephesians 6:16)

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (Ephesians 6:17)

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:18)

Through the Old Testament we understand that there is a TIME and a PURPOSE for everything.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; (Ecclesiastes 3:2)

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; (Ecclesiastes 3:3)

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; (Ecclesiastes 3:4)

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; (Ecclesiastes 3:5)

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; (Ecclesiastes 3:6)

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; (Ecclesiastes 3:7)

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:8)

The following verses of Hebrews 10:25 and 2nd Corinthians 6:17 have been misused to control the Christian to fit into a specific time and a specific purpose for the benefit of the collective and not for the benefit of spiritual growth for the individual. There is a TIME for this . . . . Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25) And there is a TIME for this . . . Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you. (2nd Corinthians 6:17) Every Christian is different, their characters and personalities are different, their missions are different, and where they are spiritually are different. You cannot force a baby to chew on a piece of steak, nor can an adult survive on infant pablum for long. There is a TIME and a PURPOSE to assemble among others, and there is a TIME and a PURPOSE to come out from among them. All depends on how the Holy Spirit is moving the individual, OR the state and condition of the Church. Remember there is a TIME and a PURPOSE for every Christian in the individual’s spiritual growth. As we all have our own individualized spiritual weapons of defense and offense, we also have our own TIME and PURPOSE in the area of fellowship WITH our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ through the moving of God the Holy Spirit. We are not all at the same level of scriptural understanding, nor are we at the same place of spiritual experience: but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope. (Romans 5:3, 4).

God the Holy Spirit has not left those in spiritual distress and debt, and those spiritually discontented without direction and without hope for as those in the Old Testament gathered around David in the cave of Adullam (‘a testimony to them,’ and/or ‘resting place’), so we today gather around the Lord Jesus Christ, the Beloved Son of God for He is our Captain in the cave of His death (a testimony to them, and a resting place) and rejection. And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men. (1st Samuel 22:2)

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. (Hebrews 2:10) For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, (Hebrews 2:11) Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. (Hebrews 2:12)

Our Captain stands OUTSIDE the door of the Church of the wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked of Revelation 3:17, and calls to the individual, (those who have come to the understanding that they are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked ) to open the door and to go to Him, and He will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (Revelation 3:20, 21)

Clothed in Scarlet Garments of Salvation

She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household [are] clothed with scarlet. (Proverbs 31:21)

When this article began in xxxii, it was explained how the subject of scarlet would be approached. We are going to follow this word scarlet every time that it is documented in scripture; consequently, this will be neither a quick, nor a simple study. We have considered scarlet through the Law of First Mention, through the use of time and numbers, through its placement in scripture, how it relates to the colors of purple and blue in the Tabernacle in the wilderness, through the Law of the Leper, through the red heifer, through a harlot named Rahab, and through Saul. Now let us delve into the only mention of this word scarlet in the book of Proverbs. I ask God to allow our understanding to increase through the mighty power of God the Holy Spirit. Therefore, let us proceed.

The book of Proverbs begins by acknowledging the pen from an earthly writer under the direction of the pen of the heavenly writer. The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel. (Proverbs 1:1) Solomon (Peaceful), son of David (Beloved), king of Israel (Prince of God and/or Prince with God). Although Solomon brought peace (but not economic prosperity) to his people, and although he was the beloved son of David, yet he did not fulfill all these things: (Peace) Solomon, (Beloved) David, (Prince with God) Israel. There was and is only ONE who fulfilled and fulfills these roles, and this is the Lord Jesus Christ.

To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; (Hebrews 7:2)

And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. (Luke 9:35)

Him hath God exalted with his right hand [to be] a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. (Acts 5:31)

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

In verses 2 – 4 of Proverbs 1, the purpose of this book is To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. Verse 7 informs how spiritual knowledge is obtained. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Chapter 9, verse 10 informs us that The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Therefore, everything that follows in the book of Proverbs gives us two supernatural strengths: knowledge and wisdom based on  the fear of the LORD. Those who walk in the fear of the Lord are also comforted by the Holy Ghost. Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. (Acts 9:31)

The book of Proverbs is full of God’s wisdom and knowledge teaching ALL (whether children of faith or children of the father of lies) concerning truth, lies, faithfulness, and deception. God begins not with the faithful woman, nor does He begin as He began in Chapter 1 of the book of Psalms with the blessed man. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (Psalm 1:1) But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Psalm 1:2) God the Holy Spirit begins with a foolish woman. At the very beginning ALL are warned about the foolish woman. As in the beginning in the garden of Eden, we are warned about the dangers from listening to a foolish woman (Eve) who FOOLISHY chose to believe a lie.

A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing. (Proverbs 9:13) For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city, (Proverbs 9:14) To call passengers who go right on their ways: (Proverbs 9:15) Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, (Proverbs 9:16) Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. (Proverbs 9:17) But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell. (Proverbs 9:18)

Although God the Holy Spirit begins His book of wisdom and knowledge with a foolish woman, He ends this book of thirty-one chapters with the virtuous woman. And Solomon held the perfect pen to write about the foolish woman and the virtuous woman because he knew that there was a tremendous difference between them. Solomon also wrote the book of Ecclesiastes (the book of wisdom) and in the seventh Chapter, verses 27 and 28 we see in the innermost chamber of his heart that, Solomon knew he had failed to honor and obey God because of his desire to surround himself with foolish women. Although Solomon was the wisest king on earth, the exercise of wisdom came too late for him in his old age.

All this have I proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but it was far from me. (Ecclesiastes 7:23) That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out? (Ecclesiastes 7:24) I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness: (Ecclesiastes 7:25) And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her. (Ecclesiastes 7:26) Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the account: (Ecclesiastes 7:27) Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found. (Ecclesiastes 7:28)

Before we get into the word scarlet in the last chapter of the book of Proverbs, it is needful to get the FULL impact of the tragic SIN of Solomon and how the SIN of disobedience not only affected the people of Israel and Jerusalem in the days of Solomon, but now this same SIN also continues into our present day and into the Church age led by foolish women. Women in the pulpits, women pretending that they are men, woman usurping power and authority that does not belong to them . . . this is one of the main connections to And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Revelation 17:5)

The women behind the throne of Solomon ruled the throne. Now, today, women wear the throne on their heads, and they call their thrones ‘pussy caps.’ I am not backing down from this statement! Take it or leave it, I write the truth. Let us venture back into time and see how the seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines (1 Kings 11:3) turned Solomon’s heart away from God.  Solomon was many things, and he definitely can be called ‘a glutton for punishment.’

But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; (1st Kings 11:1)

Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. (1st Kings 11:2)

And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. (1st Kings 11:3)

For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. (1st Kings 11:4)

For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. (1st Kings 11:5)

And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father. (1st Kings 11:6)

Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. (1st Kings 11:7)

And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods. (1st Kings 11:8)

And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,  (1st Kings 11:9)

And the high places that [were] before Jerusalem, which [were] on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile. (2nd Kings 23:13)

Solomon must have been a very strong man, for most men would have capitulated after the first wife, but NOT Solomon. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. (Revelation 3:15) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:16) One of Satan’s methods is to place his victim in a warm (neither cold nor hot) comfortable pool of sin for a very long time; consequently, the victim becomes slowly and totally consumed by sin without realizing that sin has eaten away his very soul. Cooks recognize this cooking method as “Sous vide, also known as low-temperature, long-time cooking.”

The SIN of rebellion began in the unseen world with Lucifer. Rebellion against God surfaces and resurfaces in many forms, and through many delights, and in many colors. Yet the most influential force of rebellion has ALWAYS been, since Eve, A FOOLISH WOMAN. In the book of Proverbs, however, God places the word scarlet not on SIN in the foolish woman, but He places the word scarlet on the virtuous woman. Why? In like manner, just as The Scarlet Beast of Sin was Defeated by The Scarlet Blood of Christ, so also the woman made virtuous through the blood of Christ, the Messiah, the Savior, also defeats the master of the foolish woman, Satan himself. God the Holy Spirit uses woman in Proverbs to show where Lucifer first planted his seed of distrust and rebellion against the Creator God. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2nd Corinthians 11:3) And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. (1st Timothy 2:14)

The Cloaked Scarlet Conflict Against Women

Every wedding should include these words from Chapter 31 in Proverbs in the ceremony. This description should be the spiritual code and the physical desire of every woman. This is what a help mate is all about. This is woman. In the propaganda pages pushing out lies from the father of lies, the essence of a woman is being redefined.

Hopefully you may see the importance of how this rage of Satan against the Godhead bodily threatens the stability of mankind on earth today. Satan’s frenzied fury against manhood and womanhood is the result of his insane hatred against God’s order meaning that God’s governmental order, God’s laws, and God’s creation of male and female is the battle ground. The attack to confuse the differences between male and female is not a current assault but is a planned aggressive maneuver against God’s natural order. Do you think that the attack today against MAN as male is merely a political fluke? To remove maleness from the earth is a strategic act of war against man and God. To remove God’s purpose for women is also part of Satan’s attack against mankind and against God Himself. Man is NOT a victim caught between two forces, but man is a combatant in the WAR waged by Lucifer/Satan. Remember the principle: all things are first revealed spiritually then it is manifested in the tangible realm. Satan’s three-part attempted overthrow of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit not only began in the spiritual realm, but it has flowed down into the tangible world, our world, and even into God’s creation of the species of man. But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. (Mark 10:6) This is the reason for the insanity of the war against man and against female today. Anyone who embraces the lie of misplaced sexual identity, or that any human being can become something other than what he was born, has slipped into the ‘shape-shifters’ world of imagination and fantasy. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5)

God’s creation of male and female is not only under attack, but WAR has been declared against those who live their belief in honoring God through a union of two creatures fulfilling God’s purpose as one united front. Adam was made from the dust of the ground; however, Eve was formed from created living matter, from the body of Adam. And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. (Genesis 2:23) (Notice that it is the union of bone and flesh, blood is not mentioned as the unifying element . . . interesting . . . maybe God will use this point in an upcoming article.) As bones give strength, protection and structure to a body, in like manner, Eve was made to be a help mate: to add to Adam’s moral strength through encouragement, to protect him from anything that would interfere with his position as Federal Head, and to form (through unity as one) a united front to maintain their state and standing as God’s obedient subjects created by His love and power. Eve failed miserably in her mission as a help mate to the Federal Head.

A Baby Side Note: AGE. Adam and Eve were the only two individuals from ALL others on earth who were neither babies, nor adolescents. They were both created with apparent age . . . the age of maturity. Since they were created with age, why could not the universe also have been created with apparent mature age? ♦End of A Baby Side Note: AGE.

The world is being distracted by ‘the religion of wokeness’ from the main goal of Satan’s war with God which is the destruction of MALENESS and FEMALENESS. All ‘wokeness’ is a WAR strategy against God’s redemptive purpose in creating male and female. However, ‘anti-wokeness’ has also become a distraction for the Christian because the battle to fight against ‘wokeness’ becomes more important that the gospel. Our battles are many. Every day another battle flames up. We, as Christians, are being distracted and divided because almost every day we come face to face with another battle. Although every battle is an important battle, never lose sight of the WAR, the war for the souls of mankind. We are many, and because God has planted many seeds (as a pomegranate) of faith, do not think that you are called to fight ALL battles. Since our gifts differ, our missions also differ, and many times they overlap, but fight the fight that God has placed you in.

Lucifer became mentally unhinged when his attempted coup against His Creator God failed in the unseen realm of God. Lucifer/Satan could not bear the reality of God creating man in God’s own image because Lucifer and the angels were not created in the image of God. Angels have a different nature than the nature of man, thus, Satan has fought against man having a nature capable of having the divine nature of God imparted to man. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2nd Peter 1:4) Every day, mankind is made aware of a WAR against male and female, but man doesn’t understand the origin of this WAR, nor does man understand WHY. We battle against unseen forces in the supernatural realm that HATES the GODHEAD, and that HATES everything that God created in purity. These Satanic forces are DETERMINED to undermine creation and male and female resulting in the total destruction of all that is of the earth. Satan’s battle has been extended into God’s creation of the very earth that we stand on and under the heavens above. Man has been attempting for a very long time to control the weather, to control the atmosphere, to control the growing seasons, and why it that? It is simply because God created the heavens and the earth, and then proclaimed thatit was good.‘ Men moved by the breath of Satan, are following his agenda: to change the weather and call it climate change, (the ‘climate’ does not need to be changed . . . nor is it changing, it needs to be respected . . . the key is in the word ‘change’ for this  the goal of Satan is to CHANGE what God has created), atmosphere seeding, poisoning of the soil, limiting farming, genetically modification of foods, and now we are being made aware of the development of livestock mRNA vaccines. (‘Experts’ say that the livestock mRNA vaccines in cattle have not YET been implemented; note the word YET.)  What is the goal? Nothing of the earth must remain as God created it. The end is upon us because the beginning has come under attack. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. (Genesis 1:12) And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. (Genesis 1:25) And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Genesis 1:31) After God first created the heaven it suffered a failed assault by Satan, so now the earth is once under the full assault of a very deranged, angry and powerful angel.

The wisdom of understanding a virtuous woman has never before needed to be fully understood as this moment in time, as virtuous women are few and under attack for being both virtuous and/or for being a woman. What an appropriate time to write about the relevancy of the role and definition of a woman. When the female applicant to the Supreme Court Justice of the United States (Ketanji Brown) unashamedly replied to the question to define a woman, said, “I am not a biologist.” How will she be able to define the core issues of the court cases that she will be faced with? Obviously, this appointed Supreme Court Judge knows little about biology, and knows nothing about the species of man. She also knows little about the Constitution of the United States, and she knows absolutely nothing about the Judge of the Highest Supreme Court of the SEEN and UNSEEN universe. This was either the highest point of ignorance or the lowest point of stupidity ever to be expressed by a person of such a high authority, or both.

The Bible is not a biology textbook. Although through the Bible one can learn a great deal about the nature of man: his heart, his soul, his sin, his hope, and his need for a Savior it is not biology that defines man, it is God who defines man. We have reached the culmination of the consequences of removing the Bible from the classroom and from the Church. The lack of the knowledge of the holy is why today there is spiritual, physical and moral corruption.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: (Amos 8:11) And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. (Amos 8:12) In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.(Amos 8:13)

Scarlet Sin is Full of Names of Blasphemy

This is a reminder that our primary study verse is

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (Revelation 17:3)

Let’s put a few dots together: This woman sits upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy. Words alone are not the only examples of blasphemy, but blasphemy can also be an act. What is blasphemy? Blasphemy is everything and anything that shows disrespect and contempt for God: His creation, His people, His teachings, His words, and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. When everything that is of God is ridiculed . . . that is blasphemy. When God’s truth is mocked . . . that is blasphemy. When God’s Living and written word are viciously attacked . . . that is blasphemy.

Blasphemy has many names. Blasphemy is visibly evident in the manner in which many conduct themselves in dress, in rebellion, in anger, and in hatred. Every time you tune into a television broadcast you are inundated with blasphemy. Blasphemy cannot be avoided: it is in your homes, your workplaces, and your ‘safe’ places. Yes, blasphemy is FULL of names. The mutilation agenda of our frail young men and women is blasphemy. The ‘trans‘ anything is blasphemy. The works of Satan to remove MALENESS and FEMALENESS is blasphemy, so is the current fad of training the young and weak-minded adults to add ‘pronouns’ to describe themselves is blasphemy. Behind this use of pronouns to add to one’s description of self is blasphemy because it shows disrespect and contempt for the individual because the manner in which God created MALE and FEMALE is not good enough. Everything that God created is under ATTACK because sinful man believes that he can do better than God. Blasphemous man desires to destroy MALE and FEMALE and what a better way then to form within the young Gender Dysphoria.

Side Note: Gender versus sex. Again, let me restate a FACT: the word ‘gender’ was NEVER a word applied to human beings. ‘Gender’ is a grammatical word referring to noun and adjective declension in foreign languages (such as French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese) that assigns gender to its words. Therefore, the medical term for ‘Gender Dysphoria’ should be ‘Sexual Dysphoria.’ It is almost comical that the word ‘gender’ is substituted for the word ‘sex’ when it is applied to mental illness in its perversions. Yet, the masses have no problem speaking about sex. The deliberate substitution of the word ‘gender’ for the word ‘sex’ is one of my many annoyances. To say that ‘You cannot change your gender‘ is incorrect, it should be ‘You cannot change your sex.’ There I fixed it! ♦ End of Side Note: Gender versus sex.

A Virtuous Woman Clothed with Scarlet Virtue of the Blood of Christ

So here we are in Proverbs 31:10 – 31 looking at a FEMALE. Not just any female, but a woman highly valued by her Creator. God the Holy Spirit doesn’t use pronouns to describe this woman of great value. Although many women are judged today as ‘the perfect woman’ for either their intellectual prowess, or by their social graces, or by their physical charms, God however, looks on other qualities. And the only mention of the word scarlet in this book of wisdom is documented in Proverbs 31:21, She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. This Chapter describes the true essence of a virtuous woman. SHE IS FEARLESS. Those of her household are kept safe by the Law of kindness. She clothes them with scarlet. They are safe: clothed by the excellent blood of the sacrifice of Christ IN God. As the foolish woman is clothed in the skins of death, the virtuous woman is clothed with life because she fears God. Through her righteous fear of the majesty and greatness of God, she has been given knowledge and understanding of the holy. This is the essence of virtue. This is the woman, such as Esther, Sara, Lois and Eunice, Jael, Deborah, and Priscilla.

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. (Proverbs 31:10)

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.  (Proverbs 31:11)

She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. (Proverbs 31:12)

She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. (Proverbs 31:13)

She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar. (Proverbs 31:14)

She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.  (Proverbs 31:15)

She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. (Proverbs 31:16)

She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.  (Proverbs 31:17)

She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.  (Proverbs 31:18)

She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. (Proverbs 31:19)

She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.  (Proverbs 31:20)

She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. (Proverbs 31:21)

She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.  (Proverbs 31:22)

Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.  (Proverbs 31:23)

She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.  (Proverbs 31:24)

Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. (Proverbs 31:25)

She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.  (Proverbs 31:26)

She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.  (Proverbs 31:27)

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.  (Proverbs 31:28)

Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. (Proverbs 31:29)

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:30)

Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. (Proverbs 31:31)

Power in the Scarlet Blood and Words of Christ

Thy lips [are] like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech [is] comely: thy temples [are] like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks. (Song of Songs 4:3)

The Song of Songs also called the Song of Solomon also known as ‘The Canticles of Canticles’ and also referred to as ‘The Book of Loves,’ is ALL about Christ. His thoughts, His victories, His accomplishments and His heart of LOVES are displayed in a most unusual manner from all the other books of the Bible. There is no other book in the Bible that can be compared to this book. It is the LOVES (the plural of love) that draws His children to this most amazing book.

It is the eighth book in which we find the word scarlet. It also has eight chapters, and it is the twenty-second book in the Bible. Even in the numbers we have a hidden message because the number 22 is a double witness to the number 8, (8th book and 8 chapters). The hidden message is this: that within Christ and His LOVES ALL is centered, ALL revolves around this ONE of LOVES, ALL witnesses that within Him everything begins anew.

Before we examine the word scarlet, we should explore the territory of this vast landscape of LOVES. This book of LOVES flows through dispensations, it can neither be forced into a time frame, nor is it limited to the Jew, nor to the Christian because within the very core of eternity GOD IS LOVE. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, [whether] the tender grape appear, [and] the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves. (Song of Songs 7:12) The earth is His vast vineyard. Within His vineyard are vineyards that He has planted: such as the vineyard of faith. It is ‘us‘ of Genesis 1:26, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. In John 3:11, the Lord Jesus referred to Himself as ‘we,‘ the ‘us of Song of Songs 7:12, and the ‘us‘ in Genesis 1:26. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: (John 17:22) I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. (John 17:23)

It was in the earth that He created and planted His vineyard of LOVES. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, [whether] the tender grape appear, [and] the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves. The word ‘love’ is recorded in the Son of Songs more times than in any other book of the Old Testament. In the three epistles of John the word ‘love’ is documented twenty-eight times, and twenty-two times in the gospel of John.

There will I give thee my loves . . . there in the vineyard God has shown us His love through the Son of His love, the Lord Jesus Christ. Through His love He was sent from heaven above. Through His love He was that holy thing in the womb of Mary. Through His love He manifested Himself among men. Through His love He healed the lame, gave sight to the blind, and raised the dead. Through His love He endured the cross. Through His love He went into the curse of death for man. Through His love He laid in the cave of death and rejection. Through His love He bore the sin of the world upon Himself. Through His love He rose with healing in His wings in new life so that those who had once hated Him could also rise with a new life. Through His love, children of the devil could become children of God. Through His love He has given eternal life to those who faced eternal death. Through His LOVES those of faith (the tender grapes appear) are born again, and through His LOVES the fruit (pomegranates bud forth) of His suffering receive everlasting life. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. (Isaiah 53:11)

~

Thy lips [are] like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech [is] comely: thy temples [are] like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks. (Song of Songs 4:3)

This fantastic verse opens a lifetime of LOVES within each petal of its blossom. But there is one more thing that we need to see in this verse . . . . Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, [whether] the tender grape appear, [and] the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves. (Song of Songs 7:12) The plural form of the word ‘love’ which is ‘loves’ is only documented twice in all of scripture. The first documentation is in Proverbs 7:18, Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. These words come from the lips of THE FOOLISH WOMAN, the adulterous harlot of sin. Those who live in the sin of the flesh cannot understand LOVE for they have many loves, the love of self, the love of possessions, the love of power, the love of fame and these are only few types of loves among many loves; consequently, they view and treat love as only being sexual, and self-satisfying. Whenever I hear of the words spoken in a marriage ceremony to draw two different individuals into a unified oneness with ‘as long as we both shall love,’ I already see the seeds of divorce because ‘love’ does not mean a lifetime of love to them: it means that their relationship will be based on emotions only, how one feels: on passions and moods. Marriage is built on tribulations and trials, patience, experience, and unified hope in each other. How did God display His love toward His creatures? He GAVE of HIMSELF through tribulations and trials, through suffering and redemption. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. (Isaiah 53:11) This was His LOVES to man.

NOW, we can continue on with Thy lips [are] like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech [is] comely: thy temples [are] like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks. (Song of Songs 4:3) His lips, his mouth speaks with the continuous power of the blood of Christ. Thy lips [are] like a thread of scarlet . . . as the first thread of scarlet was placed on the son of Judah from Tamar, so this thread of scarlet found its completion through the lips of Christ (the root and offspring of David, the Lion of the tribe of Judah) when He uttered, It is finished. From His lips streamed the words of truth and grace that burned into the hearts and souls of those who were in spiritual distress and indebted to God, and discontented and miserable in their skins of sin and death. And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him. The two on the road to Emmaus (Emmaus means ‘in earnest longing’) were earnestly longing for the hope that they had trusted in. Their hearts were torn in confusion and sorrow that the One whom they had trusted would be their salvation had been put to death. They were distressed. But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. (Luke 24:21)

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: (Luke 24:25) Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? (Luke 24:26) And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:27)

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?  (Luke 24:32)

His speech is comely, it is perfectly sublime, it is flawless in its perfection because His words are the Words from the lips of God Himself . . . Thy lips [are] like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech [is] comely. I am so tempted to continue in the Song of Loves, because within each word there is beauty that burns with the LOVES of God IN Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit has allowed us to smell the sweetness from only one petal from the many blossoms that He planted in His garden because His garden of grace and truth is always open to us.

• A garden inclosed [is] my sister, [my] spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed. (Song of Songs 4:12)

• Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, [that] the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits. (Song of Songs 4:16)

• I am come into my garden, my sister, [my] spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved. (Song of Songs 5:1)

• My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies. (Song of Songs 6:2)

• I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, [and] to see whether the vine flourished, [and] the pomegranates budded. (Song of Songs 6:11)

The Scarlet Sin of Desolation

They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills. (Lamentations 4:5)

The very next mention of the word scarlet is found in the first Chapter of the book of Isaiah in verse 18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. However, since this article began with this verse because it defines sin we will continue on to the next mention of our study word in Lamentations.

There is more that God the Holy Spirit is going to disclose about scarlet. Have you noticed a pattern developing through the word scarlet? There is Satan and sin represented in the word scarlet, and there is God’s counterpoint or checkmate to Satan and sin through the power of His blood and how the word scarlet applies to the power of the Godhead bodily in overcoming sin, death and the works of the devil, and Satan himself. As you read through scripture keep this in mind: good versus evil, truth versus lies, the pretender and imposter versus the Master and the Sovereign: point and counterpoint. Therefore, the book of Lamentations is the perfect book to set the scene of the desolation of sin and death. They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills. (Lamentations 4:5) A world of wailing, mourning and sorrow is what the world has always been since Adam brought sin into the world. What is mankind’s greatest unspeakable fear? What does man desperately seek to hide from? DEATH! Man’s deepest fear is death!

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; (Hebrews 2:14)

And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. (Hebrews 2:15)

For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. (Hebrews 2:16)

Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. (Hebrews 2:17)

For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. (Hebrews 2:18)

Now THIS is definitely a perfect reason to wail, mourn and lament over. Have you ever been asked by a child, ‘Why do we die‘ or ‘why do we have to die?‘ The unrepentant person cannot answer this question honestly for he cannot face the fact that sin MUST be judged. Man owes God. Man is indebted to God. Man has trespassed against God. Mankind once (in the distant past) had the opportunity to live forever, but guess what, he decided that he would rather take his chances on a supposition that he could possibly become as gods. So, being a ‘gamblin’ man’ (although Adam knew the truth) he nevertheless made the wrong call. In this pristine environment, God had planted every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:9) Many are so taken up with the tree of knowledge of good and evil that they miss that also in the midst of the garden was the tree of life. This tree had a value beyond man’s wildest thoughts and hopes. You see, this tree was Christ; for in Him is everlasting life. And in God’s foreknowledge the tree of life would become life for man through Christ’s death on the tree at Golgotha. After Adam and Eve sinned, God had to force them from His garden because of the tree of life. From that moment of time this tree of life became the goal, the desire, and the unobtainable focus of every person ever born: their fear of death and their NEED to live for ever. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever. (Genesis 3:22) Because of this verse, I will stand by my statement that ‘Mankind once (in the distant past) had the opportunity to live forever.’

From the very beginning of God’s spiritual realm to the very beginning of God’s tangible realm, Christ has always been rejected. As the Son of God’s love (Jesus Christ) King eternal, and as God’s High Priest (Melchisedec), Christ was rejected as the Sovereign God by one third of His created angels led in their rebellion by Lucifer who desired beyond all desires to be as God. The principle is that all within the spiritual realm not only preceded the tangible realm, but the tangible realm also exemplifies the spiritual world.

Satan rebelled and refused to acknowledge that within his Sovereign God was the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Even in this unseen world the Godhead was seen in the BODY of Christ. Why do you think that the Holy Spirit used the word bodily when He wrote about the Godhead?

For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;  (Colossians 2:1)

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; (Colossians 2:2)

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:3)

And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. (Colossians 2:4)

For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. (Colossians 2:5)

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: (Colossians 2:6)

Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:7)

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (Colossians 2:8)

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9)

And ye are complete in him, which the head of all principality and power: (Colossians 2:10)

It is Christ who not only is the Head of the Church, but He is the head of all principality and power. Christ is GOD, and it is because He IS God that the WAR was initiated in the spiritual realm of God’s heaven. The rejection of God IN Christ began in the spiritual realm and the rejection of God IN Christ continues throughout time in the history of mankind. (How will all this connect to They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghillsin Lamentations 4:5, I don’t know yet, I’m just as curious as you are on how the Spirit of God is going to bring this all to a conclusion.)

Man, from birth to the new birth, only knows one type of existence: SIN. Here in Lamentations 4:5 they‘ refers to sinful unrepentant man . . . beautiful phraseology, they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills. This verse has a double application: the least important application refers to those who are privileged, those who have been born into wealth and security and who feed delicately as spoiled children. They have been wrapped in garments of scarlet (precious elegance and superiority). The second and most important application is a reference to the spiritual condition of man that because of SIN, man is desolate and embrace dunghills. What mankind IS spiritually is a picture of his natural condition. How is it that children of scarlet gravitate to the lowest form of existence? They grasp and cling to the filth and waste that is within their very bodies. This is the condition of sinful man visibly enacted in their riotous acts of hatred and destruction not only of themselves, but of the property of others.

In this book of Lamentations, the book of woes, scarlet is connected to SIN at its culmination: desolate and embracing dunghills. Believing the great lie that mankind began in the form of beasthood has led to man becoming beastly in ALL of his actions, and therefore, man has become lower than the beasts of the field, he cherishes and loves his own waste products. Even the beasts of the field either bury their waste or they distance themselves from their waste, but NO, not man. Man embraces his own dung. How have the mighty fallen! From being created in the image of God to the desire to be as a beast was a long fall. Now, evil tyrants claim that the insane, the dregs of society, and the perpetrators of all forms of beastly acts are made in the image of God . . . their god, maybe . . . BUT definitely NOT the almighty Sovereign God of heaven and earth.

Mankind is Enslaved by their Scarlet Sin and Chains of Gold

We have considered  scarlet through the Law of First Mention, through the use of time and numbers, through its placement in scripture, how it relates to the colors of purple and blue in the Tabernacle in the wilderness, through the Law of the Leper, through the red heifer, through a harlot named Rahab, and through Saul and Jonathan, through the foolish woman and the virtuous woman, through the LOVES of God, and through the woes of beastly man. Yet, there is yet more that the Holy Spirit of God desires us to understand about scarlet.

The book of Daniel is the twenty-seventh book in the Bible. Twenty-seven is the cube of three. (Trivia?) (27 is 3 x 3 x 3 . . . trivia?) NO, there is no such thing as either coincidence or trivia in the word of God. The Sovereignty of God, the Godhead bodily, the spiritual realm in ALL the principalities of the power and majesty of God is played out in this great prophetic book of Daniel. One of the many triple sequences in this book is seen in the word scarlet. Three times this word is documented.

The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. [And] the king spake, and said to the wise [men] of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom. (Daniel 5:7)

And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom. (Daniel 5:16)

Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with  scarlet, and [put] a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.(Daniel 5:29)

Again, I cannot emphasis enough your need to read the book of Daniel. However, for our current study, read at least the first five chapters. Notice that all three times that the word scarlet appears is in the 5th Chapter. (Five, the number of grace.) The phrase third ruler also is mentioned three times and all mentions are in the same chapter, Chapter 5.

Chapter 5 is the great scene of debauchery and blasphemy against the God of heaven and earth. Think of this 5th Chapter as the removal of God’s grace from the people of depravity. Think of Chapter 5 as a prophetic picture of a future wherein the last corrupt and evil government of a one world order is destroyed. Think of Chapter 5 as the culmination of evil, and the final reserved judgment against God QUICKLY and SUDDENLY comes upon the world of blasphemy. The book of Daniel is historical and prophetical. It is about how four Jewish men of God survived their captivity in the land of Babylon and through their survival we are led to understand how the last Babylon will not only take the nation of the Jews captive, but the nations of the world will also be in subject to the last world tyrant, the Beast and to his image. The book of Daniel is divided into two main sections; Chapters 1 through 5 is about Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah also known as Belteshazzar, Shadrack, Meschach, and Abednego. We also are introduced to Nebuchadnezzar through his journey of spiritual understanding. Then in Chapter 5 we see Nebuchadnezzar’s son, Belshazzar, as a type of the last tyrant ruler as the blasphemous beast. Darius the Mede comes into the scene in Chapter 6, and from chapters 7 onward to the end at chapter 12 we have the greatest prophetic revelation given to man equal to the last great revelation in the last revelation in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Please note that revelation cannot be used enough to describe the book of Daniel. The difficulty in approaching the word scarlet in the book of Daniel is that this one little word is a very small (but not unimportant) word that ties together the word scarlet in the book of the Revelation. The book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ cannot be fully understood without the spiritual comprehension of the book of Daniel. Remember, that it is recorded twice that the Lord Jesus Christ said that Daniel, the prophet, spoke of the abomination of desolation. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) (Matthew 24:15) But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: (Mark 13:14) The Lord Himself deliberately directed us to the book of Daniel. Therefore, this book is a witness of the things that must shortly come to pass. Just six chapters in Daniel, yet they span thousands and thousands of years historically and prophetically. Some of the most renown individuals ever to live and reign over the earth are mentioned in Daniel BEFORE they were even born. (They are mentioned not by name BUT they are mentioned by their exploits, and we are able to recognize them because of historical deeds, coups, accomplishments, treaties, and their triumphs and conquests: such as Caesar, Alexander the great, Cleopatra, Antiochus Epiphanes, and many others. Also Daniel wrote of dynasties BEFORE they came into dominance, such as the Roman Empire, the Seleucid Empire, the Persian Empire, and even the Maccabean period.) Therefore, I leave you to read this book of Daniel at your own pace. Now let us pick up the word scarlet and proceed.

Notice when men of renown: tyrants, rulers, and men of renown appoint others to positions of power and authority these positions are ALWAYS given in exchange for compliance and obedience to their wishes. It is ALWAYS connected to gold: not the gold of righteousness but the gold of wealth and the power of authority, the power of rule over others. Three times we have these words repeated in Chapter 5 of Daniel . . . . shall be clothed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom . . .

It was the son of Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, who was the last Babylonian king who controlled the scarlet, and the chain of gold. Where was this chain of gold placed? It wasn’t around the waist, nor around the wrist, but it was around the neck . . . symbolic of a slave to the master: the master being, of course, tyrannical government. (Let us dive into ‘wokeness’ once more. Those of the ideology of wokeness have labeled their delusions incorrectly, they are not AWAKE, nor can they SEE for in their WOKENESS they are DEAD to truth. While hating the idea of slavery they have voluntarily become slaves in gross financial indebtedness: owning nothing, possessing nothing, creating nothing, producing nothing, and knowing nothing. Wokeness is a creation of government to control the bodies, the minds and the souls of dead men fantasizing that they are alive in WOKENESS. Mankind has become slaves to the real owners of their credit cards, slaves to their religions, slaves to all forms of AI, and slaves to the lusts of their imaginations.) While tyrants and rulers place scarlet and gold chains around the necks of their slaves, the Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 11:29 and 40, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light. It is through Christ alone that the chained ones are set free from the bondage of sin and death.

Slavery is NOT a new thing, nor have the descendants of Ham been the only victims of slavery, but since the very beginning of man’s history, man has enslaved other men not because of color, but because he can. Isaiah, through the Holy Spirit, wrote in Chapter 52, verse 2, Shake thyself from the dust; arise, [and] sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. The nation of Israel was enslaved for seventy years by Babylon, but through the Spirit of God working through Cyrus the king of Persia, and Artaxerxes king of Persia the people who had been held as slaves to a foreign government were gradually released and returned back to what remained of Israel.

In the 5th Chapter of the book of Lamentations, the Spirit of God unveils not only the consequences of the sin of Israel, but through these profound words we are led to understand how slavery has overtaken most of the nations of the world TODAY. As you read through verses 1 – 6 apply them to your nation and how you are now slaves to aliens and strangers because your rulers have turned your inheritance over to those who own them. (Lamentations 5:1)

Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach. (Lamentations 5:1)

Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens. (Lamentations 5:2)

We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows. (Lamentations 5:3)

We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us. (Lamentations 5:4)

Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest. (Lamentations 5:5)

We have given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread. (Lamentations 5:6)

Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities. (Lamentations 5:7)

Practically every nation on this planet is in a battle about land and inheritance. I believe that the majority of the citizens of the United States are still not yet aware that we are currently in a battle about our land and our inheritance. (In fact, most Americans are not aware of anything!) This unawareness is mainly because of the government’s control over ‘news.’ If people cannot see the truth of the present, how will they see the truth behind the present? When you want to understand the present you must understand the past. When you want to understand the SEEN you must understand the UNSEEN. ALL tangible earthly matters and issues FIRST BEGAN in the heavenly spiritual supernatural realm of God. This is a principle to always remember.

Side Note: A Summary of the battle for land and inheritance. The first battle in the WAR against the Godhead bodily in the supernatural kingdom can be summarized as the battle against land and inheritance. The land being God’s kingdom, and the inheritance being God’s extension of His divine love to His creation. When the battle flowed over into the tangible world, and BEFORE sin, the ‘land’ was the earth and the ‘inheritance’ became Adam’s as his rightful position to rule over as the Federal Head of the earth. AFTER sin, the ‘land’ and the ‘inheritance’ were both usurped by Lucifer/Satan. After Abraham, the ‘land’ became a specific territory, and the ‘inheritance’ became the land of promise, and the inheritance. After the sacrifice of Christ on Calvary, the ‘land’ was and is the unseen promised home for the people of faith, and the ‘inheritance’ is everlasting life, and the righteousness and crown of glory, and being conformed to the image of God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. ♦ End of Side Note: A Summary of the battle for land and inheritance.

The Warriors of God Victorious Through the Scarlet Blood of Christ

The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men [are] in scarlet: the chariots [shall be] with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. (Nahum 2:3)

I bet you thought that the documentation of the word scarlet in the Old Testament would never end! The last time that this word is recorded is in the thirty-fourth (34) book of the Bible called Nahum. This is a short read for it has only three chapters, but powerful chapters they are. The name Nahum means ‘consolation,’ and/ or ‘comfortable,’ or ‘comforted.’

We have traced scarlet through the Law of First Mention, through the use of time and numbers, through its placement in scripture, how it relates to the colors of purple and blue in the Tabernacle in the wilderness, through the Law of the Leper, through the red heifer, through a harlot named Rahab, and through Saul and Jonathan, through the foolish woman and the virtuous woman, through the LOVES of God, through the woes of beastly man in the book of Lamentation, and through tyrannical governments who drape themselves in the glorious robes of scarlet while placing chains of slavery around the necks of the people. Yet, there is more that the Holy Spirit of God desires us to understand about scarlet. Nahum is the perfect book to document the last mention of scarlet in the Old Testament.

After reading all three chapters, some may say, It is all about war, where is the comfort and consolation? It is NOT about war alone. It is about THE END OF THE WAR. The War that first began in God’s spiritual realm continued into God’s tangible realm. We are comforted in that the evil that first became visible in God’s spiritual realm in the heavens and that now continues in God’s tangible realm on earth WILL END.

The Holy Spirit of God, the invisible inspiration of God’s word, did not label Nahum as a prophet or a priest, as He called Habakkuk, and Haggai and Isaiah prophets. But Nahum is only mentioned once in all of scripture. The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite. (Nahum 1:1) Nahum was an Elkoshite. Elkoshite means ‘of the gathered ones.’ How appropriate that the pen that wrote this book, by the Spirit of God, is entrusted to the hand ‘of the gathered ones,’ the ones of faith. Although Nahum was of the nation of Israel, the book with his name is connected to all those who are the gathered ones . . . the ones of faith . . . Jews and Gentiles . . . all of faith find consolation and comfort in this book of comfort and consolation. In the Chapter 1 of ‘Comfort’ we are comforted by these words. (Nahum 1:3)

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. (Nahum 1:3)

He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. (Nahum 1:4)

The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. (Nahum 1:5)

Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. (Nahum 1:6)

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. (Nahum 1:7)

Those of faith who trust God, trusts in His love and trusts in His judgments for the LORD is good. And shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? The book of Comfort sets the theme of the book in the very first words, The burden of Nineveh. Nineveh was one of the cities in the land of Nimrod, the first world tyrant, who also began implementing Lucifer’s great plan of world domination through establishment of a one world order. Mankind has been a ploy, and a witness, and a victim and an ally to this one world order plan throughout millenniums of wars, conquests, empire building, and nation seeding. To understand THE END it is necessary to understand THE BEGINNING. Nimrod was the beginning, and the cities of Nimrod’s kingdom were Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, (Genesis 10:11) And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city. (Genesis 10:12) ALL these ancient cities may have been blown away by the dust of Adam, but because they were rooted in the sin of Adam, and built on the abnormal growth of the sin of Cain the vestiges of these cities remain today in the land of Shinar. Much has been written about this in many previous articles, and much will yet be written about Babel and the land of Shinar, God willing; therefore, let us move on in our word study of scarlet.

Those of faith are comforted by Nahum because God profoundly proclaims His power, The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. (Nahum 1:3) This book of Comfort is much more than a historical narrative about the destruction of the city of Nineveh in 612 B.C. It is about the final destruction of the nations of the world in the battle of Armageddon before the Lord Jesus takes His seat on His holy hill of Jerusalem. Sections of this book of Nahum (Comfort) can be compared to Psalm 2. First, read Nahum . . . .

Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. (Nahum 1:6)

What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. (Nahum 1:9)

For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder. (Nahum 1:13)

   Now read Psalm 2 . . . .

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? (Psalm 2:1)

The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, (Psalm 2:2)

Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. (Psalm 2:3)

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. (Psalm 2:4)

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. (Psalm 2:5)

Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. (Psalm 2:6)

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. (Psalm 2:7)

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. (Psalm 2:8)

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. (Psalm 2:9)

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. (Psalm 2:10)

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (Psalm 2:1)

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. (Psalm 2:12)

Since the WAR and the battle with many fronts have taken thousands and thousands captive throughout man’s existence on earth, those of faith need to be comforted that VICTORY has been declared by God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. As the bloody city of Nineveh fell, and the bloody kingdom of the Beast, the tyrant of the last Babylon, will fall; so too, we are encouraged and assured through Nahum that ‘Comfort’ is prophetically set in the words in verse 2 of Chapter 1, God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. Nineveh was not only in the land of Shinar (the kingdom of Nimrod), the Babylonian Empire under Nebuchadnezzar, but Nineveh is also MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Revelation 17:5) Compare this with Nahum 3:4, Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.

Lucifer’s WAR against God can only end one way. God PREPARED the beginning and the end by His determinate counsels in Jesus Christ. The scarlet Beast of sin is defeated by God’s scarlet blood of righteousness. The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men [are] in scarlet: the chariots [shall be] with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken. (Nahum 2:3) There is always much more that can be written, but I am afraid that many will probably never get to this page, never mind more pages. BUT, I DON’T CARE, because there is a wealth of information in this little book, for instance, as the Spirit of God informed us that the man called the Beast will be from the tribe of Dan, so also, the Holy Spirit informs us that the false prophet will be from the land of Nineveh. There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor. (Nahum 1:11) (‘Mic drop.’)

God willing, the study of the word scarlet will continue on into the New Testament.
