Nimrod
JERK or GENIUS?
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. (Genesis 6:4) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5)
  This series called Men of Renown will begin with these verses in Chapter 6 of the book of Genesis because it is the perfect scene setter for whatever and whoever follows that enables men of renown to act in conflict against God and His Word. Genesis 6 verses 4 and 5 are an accurate definition of men of renown.
  The phrase ‘men of renown’ occurs in the Bible only two times. The second and last mention can be found in the 4th book of the Pentateuch in the book of Numbers, Chapter 16. This last mention of ‘men of renown’ goes beyond the definition of men of renown and expands what ‘men of renown’ are not only capable of, but what lurks in the inner most recesses of their thoughts.
Introduction to Nimrod
  What does the name Nimrod mean to you? The majority will answer, It is someone who is not too bright, an idiot or a jerk! How wrong they are! But it is also not surprising that the majority of mankind quickly stampedes to line up behind false assumptions, deviously fake data, and lies. We see this very clearly today as millions of individuals have embraced the false information of a pandemic, instead of recognizing it as a plandemic. What is true of our age was true for past ages, and for the ages of the ancients in the days of Nimrod. The inherent senseless and foolish nature of mankind has never changed since the beginning of man because of his sin nature. What was true then is still true today. So sorry, if I have gored your ox! NOT! Moving on. . . . Nimrod was a brilliant pioneer of military tactics and strategy. He was a builder of cities, and a mover of men to follow his policies to build an empire. He was an innovator, a developer, and the first man of renown to establish an imperial city ruled by a single sovereign authority. Yup, he surely was an idiot and a jerk! NOT! Oh, I almost forgot to mention that he was also a fearless warrior and a fearful enemy to those who opposed him. Who was Nimrod and where did he come from?
  The main clue to who Nimrod was is seen in the meaning of his name. The name Nimrod means ‘rebel, impious, strong,’ and ‘we will rebel.‘ That was his character and all the various roots of his name built Nimrods’ character. As we look into the word impious, we understand that he was blasphemous, irreverent, profane, and sacrilegious. We could say that Nimrod was the perfect model for politicians, and let’s not leave out religionists. (Have I lost you?. . . . have I insulted anyone? if not, then maybe I am not doing my job correctly!) His name is only mentioned four (4) times in Scripture, and since the number four (4) represents the world, he exemplifies and embodies the people of the world in their sin and unhindered lust to be as gods.
1. And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. (Genesis 10:8)
2. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. (Genesis 10:8)
3. And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth. (1st Chronicles 1:10)
4. And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver [us] from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders. (Micah 5:6)
 How could I have written the very first paragraph in this article describing Nimrod as . . . ‘a brilliant pioneer of military tactics and strategy, a builder of cities, and a mover of men who followed his policies to build an empire, an innovator, a developer, the first man of renown to establish an imperial city ruled by a single sovereign authority, and a fearless warrior and a fearful enemy to those who opposed him‘ . . . from only four verses on which to base the character and personality of this man of renown? Well, I didn’t base it all on these four verses alone.
  The Bible is a university. It is a College within a University. It is a Library within the College of a University. It is sixty-six books within the Library within the College within the University. And within these sixty-six books is the Supernatural power of God weaving the threads of understanding in the things of God to all who enter through its portals of learning and its gates of humility by the power of God. It is twice recorded that the Lord Jesus Christ said, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. (Matthew 22:29) (Mark 12:24) There is a deep sadness within all who see the beauty and treasure in the Bible that there are those who reject this written word of God as they also have rejected the Living Word of God in Jesus Christ; especially in the events of this past year, and in the past months and days as the world appears to be on the edge of a civil explosion. Even the earth itself is showing signs of not only what is occurring above the ground but is typified by what is occurring beneath the ground. It has been said that the explosion of the Tonga volcano is a thousand-year event, but this underground event also represents what is happening with the peoples of the earth. The turmoil above and below has caused many to question their state and condition. This is a good thing. And yet, how many of those who question will seek to find answers to their questions in the word of God? Everything you want to know about the future is in the Bible. Everything you want to know about anything, and everything is in the Bible. Everything about what you don’t want to know is in the Bible. KNOW THIS. . . . that one book of the Bible by itself does not provide complete answers, nor does it reveal complete understanding. Our Master Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit informs us of His method of teaching His word.
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. (Isaiah 28:9) For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: (Isaiah 28:10)
But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. (Isaiah 28:13)
  Man first begins knowledge by learning the alphabet, and then he begins the journey forward. First, one must know to recognize language, and from this foundational beginning all learning can proceed. It is the same with the language of the Bible. The language of the Bible is built on the very first basic fundamental precept in the first words of the Bible in the book of Genesis, Chapter 1, verses 1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. If you don’t begin with this first precept that there was a BEGINNING, and that there is a GOD, and that He CREATED heaven and the earth, then you are completely unable to understand and recognize the language of God, and not spiritually qualified enough to continue on to the next precept, and to the next precept, and to the next precept. It is line upon line, line upon line. One line in one book of the Bible leads to another line in another book in the Bible, and so on, and so on. One line connects to another line, and another book connects to another book. It is here a little, and there a little. The Bible University is a deep well in which God, through His Spirit, has filled this well with the living rivers of the Spiritual Universe of Himself. (All of this that I have written is just to get you to understand that you absolutely cannot understand the last book of the Bible which is the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ unless you have a basic understanding of the first book, and the second book, and the third book, and the fourth book, and on and on.) Through this study of Nimrod, we will journey into the prophecies of the book of Daniel and tie the book of Genesis and the book of Daniel to the last Nimrod revealed in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Nimrod the Mighty
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. (Genesis 10:8)
  Let us proceed and learn about this man of renown called Nimrod, the rebel. Cush ‘black’ and ‘terror’ was the father of Nimrod. You are aware of the proverbial acorn and the tree, well, here is the tree and the little acorn. But who is the acorn and who is the tree? The first time that we read about Nimrod his name is proceeded by the name of Cush. I suggest you click on to the provided link for a deeper historical understanding of this particular acorn. Both Cush and Nimrod were acorns from the tree of Ham. The first man from the old world that carried the curse forward into the new world was Ham, the first rebel in the new world passed the seed of rebellion on to his son, Cush, then he passed the seed of rebellion on to Nimrod, etc., etc., etc. Let us take a closer look at a very defining difference in how the Holy Spirit of God introduces Nimrod into this scene of genealogical progression or depression.
And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. (Genesis 10:6)
And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. (Genesis 10:7)Â
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. (Genesis 10:8)
  This may seem to be a minor point, but then maybe it is something that should catch our eyes and cause us to stop. The little word ‘begat‘ seems to stick out here. (The difference between ‘beget’ and ‘begat’ is in the tense. ‘Beget’ is used in the sense of future ‘shall beget,’ and the sense of ‘begat’ is in the past, as in had.) But this isn’t the point. The point here is that we should notice that we have the words sons of Cush in verse 7, but in verse 8 we have the words ‘Cush begat.‘ It is as if the Spirit of God wants to catch our attention and say to us, ‘Stop here because this man, Nimrod, is set aside from all the other sons of Cush.’ Even in this little word there is a message. Why didn’t the Spirit of God write, ‘And Cush begat Seba. And Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha?’ We are to see that there is something about this son called Nimrod that separates him from the other sons of Cush! It is that he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
  Let us look at the words mighty one. In the entire Bible there are seven (7) verses with this phrase, however, three (3) times we have mighty one, and four (4) times with have mighty One. Understanding that numbers have meaning, we would assume that this would be just the opposite, that mighty One would be mentioned three times, and mighty one would be mentioned four times. WHY? The number three symbolically, spiritually and supernaturally has such depth in meaning that it cannot be simply said that the number 3 stands for just this or for just that. Since the Godhead is represented to man in many ways and through many numbers, it is best to say that the number three is the Divine Fullness and Perfection of the Godhead working through the manifestation of Himself as the Godhead bodily to accomplish His purposes.
  The number four represents the world and denotes all that is created by God: material completeness. But four also speaks of division because it is the first number that can be divided (the first composite number), and consequently it is a number of contradictions, much like mankind, complete yet divided. (Have I confused you enough yet?) Basic summary: 4=world, 3=God. So why would mighty one (Nimrod) be mentioned three times and, mighty One (God) is mentioned four times? It should be the other way around in our opinion, but it is not because the Spirit of God (who wrote the word of God) desires to show us why it is exactly as He has written it, and even in the number of times that He has written every word.Â
  Mankind sees themselves as the number 3, ye shall be as gods. They are totally consumed with ye shall be as gods. Nimrod was the first (in the new world) of a long line of tyrants who presumed themselves to be as gods. This first man called ‘rebel, impious, strong,’ and ‘we will rebel,‘ was the prototype of the Antichrist (yet to come) also known as the man of sin, or 6 – 6 – 6. Nimrod was the first person to develop and form an Empire on earth. He is the model of the last world ruler, the man of sin, the Antichrist, also known as 6 – 6 – 6.
God will not be overtopped by man, even in the smallest detail. Whether in the supernatural realm or in the natural realm God is the mighty One.Â
 Now let’s return back to the numbers of four (in mighty One) and the number of three (in mighty one). Nimrod is seen in the spiritual number three as man views himself as the supernatural power over all the earth, however, the Holy Spirit of God adds to this view of man by using man’s natural understanding of the number four: that four is great than three; God will not be overtopped by man, even in the smallest detail. Whether in the supernatural realm or in the natural realm God is the mighty One.

And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one. (Isaiah 10:34)
I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness. (Ezekiel 31:11)

Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies: (Isaiah 1:24)
Ye shall have a song, as in the night [when] a holy solemnity is kept;Â and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. (Isaiah 30:29)
And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD [am] thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. (Isaiah 49:26))
Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD [am] thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. (Isaiah 60:16)

  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) The earth [is] the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. (Psalm 24:1) God laid claim to the heaven and the earth in the very first verse, in the very first Chapter of the very first book of the Bible. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The Holy Spirit of God sets the capstone to God’s claim in Genesis 1:1 through Psalm 24:1 The earth [is] the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. I think this covers God’s claim over the earth. The earth [is] the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. God owns it ALL!
  Man has also laid claim to the things of the earth, and the things in the earth. But man is a squatter, he has created nothing, but only uses what has already been created, and then claims ownership over it all. Man was given a job, a directive regarding the location that he was placed in. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. (Genesis 2:15) He was to dress it and to keep it. This was to be man’s occupation, man was created to work, Adam was assigned a job, a specific task. However, it would be enjoyable, pleasant, and rewarding. Man was to foster growth and provide nourishment by dressing and tending to the garden of Eden. He was to keep and maintain it in the perfect condition that it had been created in. And we all know how that ended. But the one thing that man refused to claim or to acknowledge was his part in the destruction of his planet, earth.
  And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. No matter what country you are in, you KNOW that beginning from the highest position within your country to the lowest position, ALL believe that they are the mighty ones in the earth. These mighty ones care not for you, neither do they care for your nation. If you want to understand the driving force within Nimrod to be a mighty one in the earth, then simply listen to the words from the lying lips of your leaders. Their demands, their mandates, their corrupt laws, and their lying lips reveal their burning desire to be as gods at the expense of their people. The rebel within Adam, passed on to his first-born son the heart of a rebel, Cain, then passed on his rebel heart to his descendants. After the flood, the rebel heart within Ham beat even louder; consequently, his sin led to his father Noah placing a curse on Ham’s son Canaan and from that moment the children of Ham (through Canaan) became servants to the offspring of Japheth and Shem. Rebelliousness was passed from Ham, and onward to Ham’s children: Canaan, Cush and onward again to Nimrod.
  The reach of man is not limited to the earth. The earth is not enough for man. When anyone acquires all the wealth of the world, and all the power of the world, where then do they look? They look to the stars. They look to conquer and to control the heavens. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) Understand what the man Nimrod represents. This man represents war! Spiritual war leaves nothing out of the battle. This is a very difficult concept for mankind to wrap his thoughts around. We are so tightly tied to the natural that it is almost impossible for those outside of God to see the spiritual or the supernatural realm. Most sensible people fear war; nevertheless, we have been at war from the very beginning of time, and even before time.
  It all began in the heavens and the heavens of heavens . . . the third heaven. The realm of God beyond our solar system was described by the apostle Paul as the third heaven. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. (2nd Corinthians 12:2) The heavens and the heaven of heavens, the third heaven, can be treated as the universe (as we weakly understand the term ‘universe,’ yet this universe can neither be truly defined, nor can it be correctly described by man), or this third heaven may even be another spiritual dimension. This is where man is stopped, mentally, physically and spiritually. Everything beyond this is pure speculation. Since God KNOWS our limitations, He has deemed to call His realm heavens and the heavens of heavens, or the third heaven. Rebellion and sin first began in this unknowable realm where angels, and beasts gathered round His throne where righteousness and holiness dwells. BUT as Lucifer rebelled, his children also rebel. Since Lucifer’s primary goal was, and continues to be, to destroy God’s realm in the third heaven (and not succeeding there) he has moved his battle to the earth attempting to successfully destroy God’s creation . . . . The earth . . . . the fulness thereof . . . the world . . . . and they that dwell therein.
 Lucifer has been successful in disguising his war with the mighty One because they that dwell on the earth have been kept busy defending many battle fronts that they cannot see the gains that the enemy has made over millenniums. Men like Nimrod rise up and sweep over the earth burning everything in their wake in their madness to be a mighty one in the earth. We could name hundreds upon hundreds in every region and in every language, and in every culture who have deliberately caused immense suffering through famine, disease, civil turmoil, murders, and meaningless wars for the sole purpose of being a mighty one in the earth. This madness cannot only be historically documented, but we are at THIS MOMENT in time living in the Age of Madness, the Age of the Celebration of Insanity, and the Age of the Madness of Fear. Our naked and exposed emperor mumbles about war, and his news readers promote his war. Every day we see more of this madness not only in those who are made fearful because they have been convinced that there is death in the air, but we also see madness in those whose only reason to exist is to be a mighty one in the earth from the lowest position in the community and townships, school boards, election officials, county judges, teachers, bankers, Senators, and let us not leave out Prime Ministers, and Presidents. Being mighty has an expiration date. Being mighty does not last forever. The mighty in death can no longer be mighty because the Law of Sin and Death overrides all of sinful man’s hopes and unfulfilled fantasies.Â

Nimrod the Hunter
He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. (Genesis 10:8)
  The words a mighty hunter and the mighty hunter is only found in one verse in the entire Bible. Only one mention, this should be enough for us to stop and take a closer look at this man called Rebel. The first person in Scripture who is described as not only a hunter, but as a cunning hunter was Esau. And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob [was] a plain man, dwelling in tents. (Genesis 25:27) Esau is another long story! Esau was also a rebel. When studying Scripture always find the beginning to see how the Spirit of God introduces a thought or a message. Then go on to the last mention or the end to understand the conclusion of the thought or message. Esau was documented as being a cunning hunter. Therefore, we can add the word cunning to our study subject, the Rebel, known as Nimrod. A successful hunter has to know his prey: the time that his prey travels, the routes that it travels, the watering holes, and the food sources of the hunted. Then to be a cunning hunter adds more to just being knowledgeable about the hunted. Being cunning involves tremendous patience in waiting for the prey to appear. The cunning hunter must take in the wind (understand the political climate and current winds of war), the movement of air (the shifting unseen movements of collective emotions); he must cover his odor (where he has been and who he is allied with) his appearance must blend in with the scenery around him (his Machiavellian agenda and his evil intentions must be camouflaged); also the selection of just the correct weapon that suits the strength and agility of the hunted is also important for the hunter (the correct time, and the perfect place, a slow steady death, or a quick end, open for all to see, or for only certain eyes). Oh, yes, the hunter has to be more then knowledgeable, he has to allow his prey to feel secure and safe from all enemies. A cunning hunter of animals is a cunning hunter of men because the same qualities that are used in hunting animals are also used in hunting men: knowledge of the hunted, patience, disguise, deception, deviousness, perfect timing in a surprise brutal attack, and the selection of the correct weapon to achieve a slow death or a quick death; whether it should be viewed by many to inflict fear and confusion, or should it be a private kill to ensure safety for the hunter or hunters.
  As you research the words hunt, hunted, or hunter in Scripture the verses that have these words add to the character of rebel or rebelliousness. First, the word is associated with Nimrod, then Esau, then to the adulteress, and interestingly you will find it in the 13th Chapter of the book of Ezekiel directed to a specific group of very religious women. Consequently, we are made aware of the character of the hunter in the context of scriptural significance. (Do not think that God is against supplying food for your families by hunting . . . . this is NOT what I am writing about! Therefore, if any hunters are reading this article, then HUNT ON. We are concerned with SPIRITUAL applications . . . . so READ ON.)
  Back now to Nimrod, Esau, and the adulteress mentioned in Proverbs 6:26, For by means of a whorish woman [a man is brought] to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life. Here the word ‘hunt’ is associated with adultery. The adulteresses, whether it is a professional occupation or recreational, has all the characteristics of a hunter. I would like to discuss Chapter 13 of the book of Ezekiel (I suggest you read the entire Chapter). And as usually the chapters numbered with the number 13 are extremely interesting. The word of God has an extensive system of symbolic representation, sometimes it is made evident through colors, types and numbers. (This is NOT a disclaimer: the Holy Spirit of God KNEW that a system of numbering sequencing would be used in the future AFTER He had given His words to ready writers, He was not surprised that verse numbering would become a means that readers of His word would use to aid them in memorization and in quickly locating a specific word or message. So, it is not beyond our understanding that certain numbers tie specific thoughts together for nothing is impossible for God to accomplish! He can tie a knot using time as His string.)
Side Note: The Number 13. What follows is a very basic summation of SOME of the Chapters attached to the number 13.Â
Genesis Chapter 13: The conflict between Abraham and his nephew Lot – as Lot was drawn closer to Sodom. In this Chapter Sodom is mentioned three times. But the men of Sodom [were] wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. (Genesis 13:13) In this first thirteenth Chapter of the Bible, the sin of rebellion reveals itself first as a seemingly bad decision by Lot that led to his enticement to become a citizen of one of the most corrupt and immoral cities on the earth at that time. As he becomes entrenched in the political workings of this city, and engulfed by family concerns, rebellion appears as a slowly growing cancer within Lot. However, Scripture informs that Lot was righteous in the sight of God. Thus, this Chapter is a warning to both saved and unsaved, believer and unbeliever, that the sin of rebellion begins slowly and almost undetected until it destroys the believer’s testimony (Lot), but it consumes the unbeliever’s soul, But the men of Sodom [were] wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. (Genesis 13:13) Consider this Chapter as an introduction to the sin of rebellion in both the righteous and the unrighteous. (CLICK HERE to link to more about Lot and the number 13.)
For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king.(1st Samuel 15:23)
Leviticus Chapter 13: The first mention of the plague of leprosy: on a person, on clothing, on objects, and on and in a building. Sin is typified in the plague of leprosy, as sin (in man) effects all around him.
Numbers Chapter 13: Israel refused to enter into the land of promise because they did not believe that God was able to accomplish what He had promised. The first time that Anak is mentioned is in this Chapter. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, [which come] of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. (Numbers 13:33) Sin again raised its head in rebellion against God.Â
Deuteronomy Chapter 13:Â Moses warned Israel concerning the sin of listening to false prophets. [Certain] men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known; (Deuteronomy 13:13) This is the first mention of Belial. The meaning of Belial is ‘worthlessness,’ and ‘wickedness,’ also it is rooted in the concept of utter destruction.
Joshua Chapter 13: Jehovah assigned the inheritance of the land of promise to nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh with the assurance that He would drive out their enemies. Again, we have rebellion against God in their refusal to obey God because they feared men more than they believed God. The result of this sin would plague their nation for centuries. Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day. (Joshua 13:13)
1st Samuel Chapter 13: Saul refused to follow Jehovah’s instruction to wait for Samuel. Saul took it upon himself to act in the place of God’s appointed priest, and he offered a sacrifice to God when it was not his place to do so. Here again we have rebellion against God, and Saul’s kingdom became lost to him. And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. (1st Samuel 13:13)
2nd Samuel Chapter 13: Sin reaches past the act of sin and stains many who were never involved in the act of sin. Amnon raped his half-sister Tamar, and later he was murdered by his half-brother Absalom. Tamar, Absalom, David, and the nation of Israel were all affected by one man’s sin.
1st Kings Chapter 13: This Chapter reveals the depths of rebellion that the priesthood had descended into. A false prophet, living in Bethel (the house of God), caused a man of God from Judah to die because of his lies, but there is much more to this story. The sin of rebellion was at the core of this tragedy. 1st Kings 13:33 sets the state of corruption within the priesthood. Priests were politically assigned by government instead of by the laws of the Levitical system. Rebellion against God’s system of priesthood became evident. After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places.
2nd Kings Chapter 13: God’s prophet Elisha died. This is a Chapter of death and rebellion. In verse 13:13, God the Holy Spirit separates the death and burial of Joash, a king of the northern ten tribes called Israel, with these words and Jeroboam sat upon his throne. And Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam (Jeroboam II) sat upon his throne: and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel. The first king over Israel (the ten northern tribes) was Jeroboam. His name is mentioned four times in this Chapter. Three times the sins of Jeroboam and his influence of generations to come is noted by the words and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin . . . . Jeroboam, who made Israel sin . . . sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel sin. He had set up a golden calf and an altar on the northern border of Israel, and a golden calf and an altar on the southern border in opposition to the worship of God in the Temple in Jerusalem. The message is clear: that what began in the beginning in the rebellion against God in setting up altars and golden calves on the borders of Israel continued on in Jeroboam II while surrounded by death (Joash slept with his fathers, and Joash was buried). Rebellion against God is a seed that never dies until judged by God.
1st Chronicles Chapter 13:Â As the oxen stumbled while bearing the Ark of God on the new cart, Uzza put out his hand to steady the Ark, and there he died before God. The Ark had been placed in the house of Abinadab for twenty years waiting for Israel to get to the point to be able to move God’s Ark to a proper place. Uzza was one of the sons of Abinadab moving the Ark under the direction and guidance of king David; however, doing things in a wrong way does not make things right. And adding familiarity with the things of God into the mix did not go well for Uzza. Familiarity with the things of God produces irreverence. And irreverence can become rebellion in refusing to properly show respect and honor to the things of God. Lightly taking the Ark (Christ) as merely an object to be carried is rebellion.
Nehemiah Chapter 13:Â This Chapter reveals the complete breakdown of society caused by rebellion and disobedience to God. When many former captives returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple, they discovered betrayal, corruption, and total disintegration of social and family life. The Temple was not only in ruin, but what little remained of the Temple, Gentiles had been allowed to take control over the inner workings of the Temple, especially the treasury. Not only had the priesthood become polluted, but families had also become polluted, children could no longer speak in the Jew’s language, but spoke in the language of Ashdod, and in the languages of the mixed group that assimilated into the Jewish culture. This Chapter shows the results of rebellion.
Isaiah Chapter 13: God’s judgment against Babylon is called the burden of Babylon. Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. (Isaiah 13:13) And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. (Isaiah 13:19) This entire 13th Chapter is about Babylon’s destruction. (Prayerfully, I will be writing about Babylon in another article connected to Nimrod.)
Jeremiah Chapter 13:Â Judah’s brutal destruction is prophesied by Jeremiah. The entire Chapter is judgment against both Jerusalem and Judah; judgment is pronounced against the prideful religious system and against the pride of the people. God declared both the religious system and the people good for nothing (Jeremiah 13:10). Although God had instituted the Aaronic priesthood, the sacrifices and the offerings; nevertheless, God judged them all. Do not be under the delusion that God will not judge His people. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1st Peter 4:17) Although Jeremiah Chapter 13 was directed against Israel, it is also applicable to the Church. Jeremiah 13:13, Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.
And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them. (Jeremiah 13:14)
This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith the LORD; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood. (Jeremiah 13:25) Rebellion has consequences.
Ezekiel Chapter 13:Â This is another Chapter saturated with the bitter truth about those who profess to serve and follow God but lie. Judgment awaits ALL false prophets. (Note that before this side note began, we were discussing Ezekiel Chapter 13, and we will continue in Ezekiel 13 after this side note.)
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 13:8)
And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.(Ezekiel 13:9)
Hosea Chapter 13:Â Judgment against Ephraim and Judah is pronounced. Judgment against those who wickedly commit acts of murder, lewdness and whoredoms while pretending to serve God under the banner of religion is the core of this 13th Chapter. God’s utter distain against the corruptness of the priesthood is revealed.
O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. (Hosea 6:4)
For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. (Hosea 6:6)
But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me. (Hosea 6:7)
And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness. (Hosea 6:9)
I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled. (Hosea 6:10)Â
Zechariah Chapter 13: This Chapter has such depths of spiritual wealth buried within each sentence that it is truly beyond summarizing. Nevertheless, let’s follow the spiritual principles laid out in the number 13, and see where the Spirit of God will lead. In this Chapter we see two sides of number 13. From one side we see man’s blatant refusal to obey God. Mankind is in constant rebellion against His Creator. From the other side of number 13 we have God’s reaction to man’s rebellion, and that is judgment. God MUST judge sin. God’s righteousness requires that He judge sin. In this Chapter we have both sides of number 13. God not only judges, but He supplies the sinner with a way to escape His judgment. The Judge judges and He also provides a judicial means through which the guilty can be forgiven. The solution is that someone else must bear the judgment instead of the guilty. Zechariah 13:1 provides the solution, In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. God opens a fountain to the house of Judah to cleanse them from their sin and uncleanness in their rebelliousness. Then in Zechariah 13:9 God informs us that although judgment is upon Israel, He has provided an escape route. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
False prophets, idols, unclean spirits will cease to exist. God will judge them all. But notice that these prophets (under the guise of servants of God) will be cut off from the land of the living. And when THAT DAY of judgment has come, these false prophets and ministers of righteousness will no longer wear liturgical ceremonial garments to deceive the people. Clothing of religiousness will come to a shameful end. Wearing the robe of righteousness by a deceitful prophet is the epitome of rebellion. As Adam and Eve could not hide their rebellion against God by covering themselves with fig leaves, neither can ‘men or women of the cloth’ hide their rebellion and sedition against God by draping themselves in liturgical ceremonial garments of fig leaves.Â
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. (Zechariah 13:2)
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:Â (Zechariah 13:4)
God presents man’s most heinous rebellious act against God, when they cried, Crucify him, crucify him. And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. (Zechariah 13:6) After the Lord’s resurrection, when He confronted Thomas, the Lord said, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. (John 20:27) Christ bore the evidence of God’s judgment. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (1st Peter 3:18)
The 13th Chapter of Zechariah presents another aspect of God’s judgment. Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. (Zechariah 13:7) God’s sword of judgment fell on His Shepherd because of man’s sin. In John 10:11 the Lord Jesus Christ stated, I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. Yes, God judges rebellion. Yes, God supplied (through the judgment upon His Shepherd) the only solution to man’s dilemma . . . the just must bear the judgment for the unjust. However, although man can be forgiven, he also bears the responsibility in this life for his actions and for his words. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. (Matthew 27:25) And in Zechariah 13:7 we have God’s reply to His blood be on us, and on our children even centuries before those words were spoken. This was God’s reply, and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. In 2nd Samuel 1:16 David pronounced judgment on a man who thought that he would achieve honor and recognition by lying about having slain king Saul. However, David said, Thy blood be upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD’S anointed. Judgment resonates throughout this last 13th Chapter in the Old Testament.
The New Testament
Matthew Chapter 13: The first time that the phrase end of the world is used is in this 13th Chapter. This is also a Chapter of parables: Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. (Matthew 13:13) It is in this particular Chapter that Christ three (3) times mentioned the end of the world and the end of this world.Â
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (Matthew 13:39)
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. (Matthew 13:40)
So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, (Matthew 13:49)
Then the very last verse in the book of Matthew adds assurance in that Christ Jesus will be there with you always, even unto the end of the world. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:20)
Mark Chapter 13: Reading Chapter 13 of the gospel of Mark is extremely difficult for both the believer and the unbeliever. For the believer, it is a deeply sad prophecy detailing the agony that this world will go through because of sin. For the unbeliever it becomes a major point to acknowledge that the world deserves all that it will receive at the hand of a holy and righteous God. Follow the Scriptures about the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and the abomination of desolation that Daniel mentioned in his prophecies that was situated over the Holy of Holies. This verse sets the tone of the religious, political and society atmosphere at this specific time against the people of God, especially Israel. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. (Mark 13:13)
And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! (Mark 13:1) And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. (Matthew 13:2) This prophecy has already been fulfilled when Rome destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A. D. Â
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (Mark 13:6) And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. (Mark 13:7) For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. (Mark 13:8)
But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:Â (Mark 13:14)
For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. (Mark 13:19) And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days. (Mark 13:20)
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. (Mark 13:22)
But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, (Mark 13:24) And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. (Mark 13:25)
Luke Chapter 13:Â The Lord Jesus Christ twice said, I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:3) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:5) With this Chapter opening on the plea to repent you know that what is to follow is not going to be pleasant to hear.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! (Luke 13:34) Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. (Luke 13:35)
This is the last warning (through the number 13 in the gospels) of God’s approaching judgment against Jerusalem and the house of Isael.
John Chapter 13: This Chapter identifies Judas as the betrayer of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 13:13 presents Christ as Master and Lord. Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. All hinges on His time, His purpose, and His will in this Chapter. Satan, through Judas, cannot annul Christ as Master and Lord.
Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end. (John 13:1)
When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. (John 13:21)
Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. (John 13:26) And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. (John 13:27)
He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night. (John 13:30) The rebellious world (even before the Lord’s birth) tried to stop God’s plan in the manifestation of God with us: Emmanuel. And from His birth onward the haters of God and of His Christ never stopped trying to extinguish His Light and Life. John 13:30 summarizes what then occurred, and it was night. It was night when Christ was born, and it was night when He was betrayed, and it was at night when He was taken. Mankind has been in the day of night from the moment that the first man sinned and brought sin into the world. Â
Revelation Chapter 13. What can I write that has not already been written? What can I say that has not already been said? (Not much!) The 13th Chapter reveals the original facilitator of rebellion: Lucifer. This 13th Chapter uncloaks the manifestation of Lucifer/Satan in the name of 6 – 6 – 6, the trinity of evil. The number of man in the number six reaches it climatic point when MANKIND IS COMPLETE EVIL. Therefore, he has to be revealed in the 13th Chapter, there can be no other Chapter suited for the revelation of the man of sin but in the number 13. And in Revelation 13:13 we see his power on the earth. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (Revelation 13:14)
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. (Revelation 13:15)
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:Â (Revelation 13:16)
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (Revelation 13:17)
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (Revelation 13:18) Of course, there can be more to be written about Six hundred threescore and six, but this side note began with the number 13. Therefore, it is proper to end at the 13th Chapter of the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Every Chapter that is labeled with the number 13 reveals the sin of rebellion and judgment for the sin of rebellion. Coincidence? There is no coincidence in the word of God. Although many other chapters in Scripture deals with judgment and rebellion, the Chapters labeled with the number 13 shows the progression of rebelliousness. ♦ End of Side Note on number 13.

The Hunter of Souls
  The previous side note began because of the word hunt in the 13th Chapter of the book of Ezekiel. In attempting to build a character profile of a person who lived thousands and thousands of years in the past, we should track (as a hunter) every possible connection that the Holy Spirit of God has laid down for us to examine. As I have written previously, the hunters of animals have skills and knowledge that the hunters of men employ. Here in Ezekiel 13:18, God, through His Spirit, adds an interesting element to the hunt: there are those who hunt souls.
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the [women] that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive [that come] unto you? (Ezekiel 13:18)
And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear [your] lies? (Ezekiel 13:19)
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make [them] fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, [even] the souls that ye hunt to make [them] fly. (Ezekiel 13:20)
  God created mankind as tripartite beings. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1st Thessalonians 5:23) Mankind was created with balance and designed by a tripartite God: Spirit, Soul and Body: Soul (God the Father), Body (God the Son), Spirit (God the Holy Spirit) united together in Godhead.
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. (Romans 1:19) For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Romans 1:20)
  The ‘body‘ man can understand, however the parts of mankind that cannot be seen ‘soul‘ and ‘spirit‘ is completely different to understand. Man cannot SEE the Holy Spirit of God, nor can he SEE God the Father, but nevertheless the existence and reality of the spiritual realm are very real, and it is seeable through the eyes of faith. (God manifested Himself to His creatures through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ because Christ was the express image of His Person. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? John 14:9. Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. Colossians 1:15.) The souls and spirits of men are of another realm: the spiritual realm. Proverbs 20:27 provides a wonderful definition that can be understood about the spirit of man. The spirit of man [is] the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. Our tangible bodies have spiritual elements that connect to the spiritual supernatural realm of God. Why am I writing of these things? Simple. Why does Satan hunt for the souls of men? Why do men hunt for the souls of men? No one is born without an expiration date. At the moment of our birth, we begin the death process. However, what the enemy doesn’t want anyone to comprehend is that within all of mankind there is a seed of spiritual life called ‘the soul.’ And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) Adam disobeyed God and forfeited life; thus, sin and death became his destiny under the penalty of the Law of Sin and Death. However, since God is omniscient, He created man with a spirit and a soul that could connect to the spiritual world of God. But this connection to the spiritual realm of God could only be successful through one means: faith. And God provided the Law of Faith to offset the Law of Sin and Death.Â
  Why do men hunt souls? Man can destroy the body, but the spirits and souls of men is another thing altogether. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) The two unseen elements within every person, the soul and spirit, is where the unseen battle takes place. Through the 4th Chapter in the book of Hebrews in the 12th verse, we see the closeness of soul and spirit, as God is Spirit and is united in Spirit with the God the Holy Spirit in an indescribable relationship so also, is the soul and spirit within man. For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
  Satan, and his children, work tirelessly to destroy the bodies of men, to remove the physical evidence of God’s creatorial power, and the image of God. But the core of Satan’s hatred for mankind extends beyond the physical because he needs to destroy that which connects to the spiritual realm: the soul and the spirit of man. Here is the main purpose of the conflict between mankind and Satan. The body had already been overcome by sin and death spurred on by the lies of Satan in the garden of Eden: Yea, hath God said . . . . Ye shall not surely die . . . . ye shall be as gods. And although the body has been successfully defeated in the early stages of the battle, Satan, loves to play with man as some cats play with its prey before killing it. Mankind, in his rage against God, also fights against his own body by mutilation, disfigurement, and corrupts everything from without that can insult God as the Creator, but this rage doesn’t end with the outward attack on man’s body. No, man has to deliberately destroy his own body from within. Adding to the individuals’ disregard for his own body there are also enemies who attack the bodies of mankind by polluted food, and pharmaceutical experiments such as our current plandemic. There are endless entities whose purpose is to destroy mankind from within even to change man’s genetic makeup. This battle is being played out without rules or limits. And man is lost. He has lost to sin and death, and faces the loss of his soul, and cannot see it. The battle rages on over man’s body and soul. Why the hunt for the souls of men? Since the body has already been overcome by sin and death, why is it necessary to continue the plan to destroy the body of man? It is because the soul and spirit exist within man’s body, and the soul and spirit must be quickly extinguished before man can understand the value of his soul. Faith is the road that leads to everlasting life. Faith is the believer’s connection to the spiritual realm of God where his soul and his spirit is anchored in the blood of Christ.

Which [hope] we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; (Hebrews 6:19) It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (1st Corinthians 15:44) Thus, the believer’s soul will continue on in a new body, a spiritual body guaranteed by the Lord Jesus Christ.
And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. (John 6:39) And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:40)
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (Philippians 3:21)
  The unbeliever has no way to salvage his body, it will die and return to its former state: dust. The believer will have neither a restored body, nor a reconditioned body rebuilt as his first body was created with clay, but the believers’ soul and spirit will be housed in a body designed and patterned after the body of His Redeemer.
  Men hunt to kill the bodies of men. Men hunt for the souls of men because the soul of man not only is connected to the spiritual realm of God in the believer, but the soul of the unbeliever is a means by which man can barter. Yes, I wrote. . . . barter.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36) Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Mark 8:37)
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26)
  The Lord Jesus Christ used the word exchange. This is a form of bartering. Many notable men and women of renown have bartered and exchanged their souls for a brief time of fame and fortune. The soul of man is a spiritual bridge provided by God to enter into His realm, and man is allowed to give his soul totally and completely to God, and in exchange God gives this person of faith everlasting life. On the other hand, the person who refuses God’s plan of redemption will give their soul totally over to Satan in exchange to gain the whole world. But Satan has a disclaimer attached to this exchange of soul for gain that says, ‘This exchange is only guaranteed as long as you live, at death this guarantee ceases to be enforced and can no longer be upheld and becomes invalid.’ At death, the original owner of the soul again takes ownership over the soul. And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. (Ezekiel 18:4)
 It is important to the enemy that they hunt for souls because the destiny of the souls of men can be turned from evil to righteousness, and this is what the enemy does not want to happen. Satan won the battle over the natural body, and he won the battle of the souls of man (through Adam), nevertheless, Satan must continue to push forward with his plan of total destruction, therefore, the battle rages on over the souls of men. Mankind cannot recover his lost body, but man can recover his lost soul while he still is in possession of it. The chief liar cannot allow mankind to understand the value of their souls that they have been endowed with by their Creator. (For the redemption of their soul [is] precious, and it ceaseth for ever:) (Psalm 49:8) He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight. (Psalm 72:14)
  Hunters hunt for souls because souls can be restored. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. (Psalm 23:3) Eternal destinies are sealed by words, actions, by faith, or by unbelief. What is done in the flesh, in the tangible natural realm, determines where you will spend eternity. After death, there is no turning back. After death, prayers of others cannot save you. After death, there is no mediation room to rethink your decisions while in the flesh. Purgatory is man’s religious imaginations fantasizing about an afterlife beyond their control. In fact, all religions are based on imaginations. All ‘isms’ is about ‘isn’t’s. Hunters hunt for souls to remove any possibility that their targets may escape from their clutches.
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. (Ezekiel 18:20)
But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. (Ezekiel 18:21)
All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. (Ezekiel 18:22)
Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? (Ezekiel 18:23)
  Hunters hunt for souls because it is the last connection (by faith) to enter into the spiritual realm of God. Back to Ezekiel Chapter 13 and to those who hunt souls.
Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them, (Ezekiel 13:17)
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the [women] that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive [that come] unto you? (Ezekiel 13:18)
And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear [your] lies? (Ezekiel 13:19)
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make [them] fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, [even] the souls that ye hunt to make [them] fly. (Ezekiel 13:20)
  In case you have forgotten, we are attempting to build a character profile of Nimrod using the word hunter, He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. (Genesis 10:8) Some of the best men hunters are women. (I kid you not!) Being a woman (just in case you missed my name as the author of this article) I know quite a lot about women! It takes a woman to know women. Most men, however, only know women after they have been victimized by a woman; then they know women. It is almost impossible to tell a young man (or an old man) to beware at all times that women are almost instinctively hunters of men. Yes, there are godly women, for God used many women as documented through Scripture.
Side Note: Some of the godly women mentioned in Scripture. There were many godly women in Scripture that God honored to serve Him, they did so in many roles: as mothers (Sarah, Hannah, Ruth, and Mary), as a warrior (Jael), as a messenger (Abigail), as a prophetess, judge, and leader (Deborah), as teachers of the Word (Priscilla, Lois, and Eunice), and as servants of the Church (Phebe). ♦End of Side Note: Some of the godly women mentioned in Scripture.
 God the Holy Spirit draws women into His narrative about those who hunt for souls. Since women are noted for having an aptitude for men hunting, it seems natural for women to be successful in hunting for the souls of men. Chapter 13 of Ezekiel states some very interesting facts. In verse 17 His message was DIRECTED against the daughters of thy people. They operated from a position of authority as prophetesses. God again used the word against in against the daughters of thy people, and Ezekiel was to prophesy thou against them. They prophesied from their hearts, their emotions, their feelings, while Ezekiel prophesied by the word of God. Big difference. Then in verse 18 God began His message with stern words: Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the [women]
Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them, (Ezekiel 13:17)
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the [women] that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive [that come] unto you? (Ezekiel 13:18)
  Do you understand what Woe means? (In Scripture we have the single woe, and the double woe, woe, and the triple woe, woe, woe. In Ezekiel Chapter 16 there is a double woe: woe, woe. In the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ Chapter 18, verses 13, we have the only triple woe: woe, woe, woe.) Woe means a calamity of great misfortune: that is man’s definition. God’s definition of woe is summarized in one word: WRATH. In other words, Oh, Oh! (The phrase the wrath of God is mentioned ten (10) times in Scripture . . . the perfection of divine order . . . . even in wrath God reveals His perfect judgment in perfect order. Psalm 78:31; John 3:36; Romans 1:18; Ephesians 5:6; Colossians 3:6; Revelation 14:10, 19; 15:1,7; 16:1) And to tie it all together, the phrase wrath of Almighty God is documented only once in the entire Bible, and it is in the last book of the Bible: Revelation 19:15, And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.)
  What had these women, the daughters of Israel done that God would prophecy AGAINST them: Woe to the [women]? They worshiped statues, they worshiped pagan gods, and at the same time they acted as God’s prophetesses. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (2nd Corinthians 11:14) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2nd Corinthians 11:15) As professional religious people always do, they lied. This is how the professional religionist rolls: the confusion of lies guarantees a payday. And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear [your] lies? (Ezekiel 13:19)
  This next section is somewhat odd, but also somewhat similar to our age. Woe to the [women] that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! What were they doing, and what was their purpose of sewing pillows to all armholes, and making kerchiefs upon the heads of every stature? The word kerchiefs only appears twice in the entire Bible, and both times it is in Ezekiel 13:19 and 21. I can only surmise about the purpose of kerchiefs and pillows. First, these statutes were female deities. Secondly, the liars attempted to create a softened view of women, to humanize these stone-cold images by placing items of clothing on them, as children play ‘dress up dolls.’ To generate thoughts of love, and nourishing care and concern, these female idols were covered with items that represented those female qualities, and the greatest perceived quality of womanhood is in the concept of motherhood. Pillows were a softening element as well as a covering. The armholes were where the arms connected to the body; arms hold and embrace, thus, the arms reached out and from there worked their charms of holding and embracing. I see a female mothering quality being developed by these prophetesses. But there may also have been another thought concerning their placement on the statutes. Were these pillows also used to add volume to the bust area of these female idols by attaching them to the arm holes of these statues? (This is just a thought, since later many statutes of female deities were chiseled by sculptors with pronounced breasts or multiple breasts as the statute of Diana of Ephesus.) Deceptive women rely on their physical attributes (real or pillowed) to attract the hunted. If this thought is correct, then it would add a sexual element to the statutes in Ezekiel Chapter 13.
 Aaron directed whoring Israel to worship the molten calf at the base of mount Sinai when he cried out, These [be] thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt (Exodus 32:4), and Jeroboam made two calves of gold for the people of the ten northern tribes to worship under the propaganda of convenience when he said, behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt (1st Kings 12:28), these lying religious women in essence also cried out, These [be] thy gods, O Israel. From one molten calf to two molten calves, to numerous female stone statutes, These [be] thy gods, O Israel. The purpose of these daughters of Israel in Ezekiel Chapter 13 was to direct Israel away from the true worship of God by forming another point of worship. Isn’t that a sweet misdirection? I mean, who could possibly argue against motherhood and femininity?
Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 13:21)
Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life: (Ezekiel 13:22)
Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 13:23)
  Not only was their purpose to change the direction of worship away from God, but their divine divinations promised life. Substituting another means to acquire eternal life began long before these women thought of it. Where did this concept of uniting motherhood to life begin? And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. (Genesis 3:20) Of course, motherhood is connected with life! From this Satan developed another channel to direct mankind away from the only Life Giver: God. The meaning of the name of Eve is ‘life giver.’ What an opportunity to develop the worship of another ‘life giver.’ The expert counterfeiter has never ceased to imitate the things of God. How does all this relate to Nimrod? I have just begun to scrap away the surface mold that hides the origin and sin of false religions. Building a nation requires redirecting followers from what they have to hope for more than what they have, and to imitate things that men hold dear and precious. Motherhood is one of these things that men hold as precious and honorable. How does this relate to Nimrod? When a nation is formed how is it held together? What ties any group or collective unit together? How does this relate to Nimrod? Force and power can form a nation, but what holds any nation together? RELIGION! Religion is much more than the worship of God or a god. It is central to ANY system of belief, principle or ideology. There is the religion of liberalism, the religion of atheism, the religion of mammon, the religion of evolution, the religion of superiority, the religion of information or misinformation, and the religion of religion. How does this relate to Nimrod? The first religion of note after the flood in the new world was forged by Nimrod centered around himself. (So what else is new?) What concepts did Nimrod build his empire on? I’ll give you a hint: Germany refers to their nation as Fatherland; Russia calls their nation the Motherland. Nimrod drew his city and his kingdom together around himself by a basic form of patriotism centered on their king and the royal family. (We have the evidence of this dynastic form of patriotism in the United Kingdom for example, but England is not the only example.) As the last Nimrod, yet to come, builds his kingdom around the worship of himself, the first Nimrod built his kingdom around the worship of himself. Worship is evidence of a system of some form of religious belief, and religion requires a form of priesthood, and a strict system of hierarchy. Every pagan religion can be defined by their titles of rank and status. Not only was Nimrod a pagan religionist, but he was Head Pagan Religionist. His mystery religion built the mystery that carried forward throughout millenniums to the end. In the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ in Chapter 17, verse 5, this mystery religion is defined: And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. God is SHOUTING this out to all. Here is the mystery of BABYLON, which began in Babel the Capitol seat of Nimrod. The mystery is that Nimrod (Satan’s man of renown) planted the seed of rebelliousness in people anxious to revolt against God and His purposes, and it grew century by century, and millennium by millennium. I have previously written about Constantine marrying the church to the world; however, this is also what Nimrod did. But Nimrod fused together a pagan religion to government. Our age is the infusion of pagan religions, and false Christendom under the banner of Christianity with a godless government and corporatism: religionists/governments/corporatists have become a single united forceful entity over the earth. The elements of Worship, Power, and Money united equals Control. (Prove to me that I am wrong!) But where did this all begin?

The Land of Nimrod
And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver [us] from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders. (Micah 5:6)
  The last mention of the name of Nimrod is in Micah 5:6. This mighty hunter had a land, a country, a nation, a dominion. From the first mention in Genesis 10:8, where Nimrod began to be a mighty one in the earth to having a land, a nation, an empire was no easy feat to accomplish. How did he do it? What have we learned about this man in the Scriptures concerning his name, and his skills as a hunter? As his name indicated he was a ‘rebel, impious, strong,’ and his name also meant ‘we will rebel.’ He drew men to him who were also rebels, and he influenced men to become rebels. Uniting the building blocks of rebelliousness, irreverence and strength had to take a mastermind to control these elements. How to control a rebellious, strong and godless pagan society could only be realized through three concepts: patriotism, power (force) and religion, or powerful religious patriotism. Religious patriotism can only be successful when built around false deities.
Side Note: Religious patriotism is cult emotionalism constructed around the concept of ‘Fatherland’ or ‘Motherland’ of any particular religion. Also remember that religion and Christianity are not synonymous, they are in fact in total opposition to each other. ♦ End of Side Note of Religious patriotism.
  Now and I mean NOW this is OUR territory today. This is our language. This is our playing field. If you cannot see and identify the false deities of our age that the Nimrods of our time hunt for souls then you have having been watching too much television and believe too much propaganda spouted by the readers of lies. Mankind has been brought to heel under the men of renown in our age. Nimrod built a land of great wealth and prominence around his ability to hunt, and it wasn’t hunting tigers and bears that allowed him to rule. He hunted the souls of men. Promising them prosperity in the natural world, he also offered them life in a spiritual world. Nimrod solidified and united religion and godless spirituality in an empire constructed along the lines of religious patriotism. How do I know this? Well, let’s move on to ‘what saith the Scriptures?’

Nimrod the King
And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. (Genesis 10:10)
Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, (Genesis 10:11)　
And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city. (Genesis 10:12)
 A kingdom requires a king. Caesar had nothing over this man Nimrod. Nimrod was the first Emperor, the first international celebrity, and the first to develop a dynasty of authoritarians. Hammurabi had nothing over this man Nimrod. Hammurabi built on the back of Nimrod in the land of Nimrod on the things that Nimrod had planted. All the Pharaohs had nothing over this man Nimrod. All men and women of renown who were successful in nation building had nothing over this man Nimrod because Nimrod set the measure of successful empire building. He was the first to achieve universal prominence in the areas of human control, and manipulation. Nimrod was Satan’s prototype of the man of sin (6 – 6 – 6). Nimrod was the first in this series of 6. Nimrod was 6. (Just a minor side thought with a minor point with a minor meaning: there are six letters in the English transcription of the name of Nimrod. It is nothing more than just another aid in remembering that Nimrod was the prototype, the mold, or the pattern for the Antichrist, the 6 – 6 – 6.) Nimrod was 6.

The Kingdom of Nimrod
And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. (Genesis 10:10)
  Genesis 10:10 gives us a massive amount of information. Ten is the number of God’s divine order. (Ten completes a series of numbers, and the next series of numbers is also completely accomplished in the decimal system. Nothing can be added to make this system of tens better.) Since ten represents God’s divine order, how can this verse be associated with a double ten? How could this possibly be? This verse is about the land of an evil person. It is about the beginning of a kingdom that will not only continue to the end, and still be in existence at the end, but at the end this kingdom will be more advanced and far more evil then when it first began. This is exactly what 10:10 shows us that God’s plan was in effect from the very beginning of his (Nimrod’s) kingdom, to the very end of the kingdom of the man of sin, or Nimrod personified in the man of 6 – 6 – 6. The mystery of iniquity has been working consistently since Adam rebelled against his God. How sin works, how sin originated, how sin destroys, and how sin hides in the crevasses of the tombs of our minds is a mystery. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way. (2nd Thessalonians 2:7) In Revelation Chapter 10:7 the Holy Spirit of God said, But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. Satan’s kingdom began on earth before Nimrod, and there was idolatry before Nimrod. IN Nimrod Satan’s kingdom flourished because now Satan finally had an empire as a foundation to build his sedition against God on. The first time that we read the word kingdom is in Genesis 10:10. And it is the kingdom of The Rebel surreptitiously constructed by the original Rebel, Satan. Yes, Satan has a kingdom.
And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? (Matthew 12:26)
If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. (Luke 11:18)
 Babel was just the beginning of Nimrod’s kingdom. And Nimrod was a king, for kingdoms must have kings. (So, you thought that Nimrod was an idiot?) He built four major cities. All four had a greater sustaining presence then our own nation of the United States of America because each city remained for thousands of years. During this time, they were conquered and re-conquered by many different cultures and warlords, but they nevertheless remained. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. (Genesis 10:10)
  We will address Babel and Shinar further in this study of Nimrod, but let us briefly look at Erech, Accad, and Calneh. Erech means ‘length,’ or ‘long.’ There are two root meanings of Accad: ‘a fortress,’ and ‘only a pitcher.’ Calneh has so many compound elements that at first glance this name appears to be a bit confusing (it is rooted in feminism: beautiful – bride – espousal/ also an enclosure as to contain/ and has a root of perfection as in completeness). Many sources take these names: Erech, Accad, and Calneh and try to force their meanings to make them appear as being the best of mankind. Remember that these cities were built by The Rebel (Nimrod) and Nimrod typifies the last Rebel in Scripture: the man of sin, 6 – 6 – 6. Nothing that Nimrod built could possibly be, in any way, shape or form, related to godliness and holiness. God uses what man builds to show the heart of man, the goals of sinful man, and what God thinks about mankind that there is none good, no not one.
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:Â (Romans 3:10) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (Romans 3:12)
 When considering the person (the hunter, the hunter of the souls of men, the mighty one on the earth) let us look through the pride and vain heart of The Rebel as he named each of his cities: Erech: ‘my city will live long.’ Accad: ‘my city will be a fortress and as a vessel of my strength and power.’ Calneh: ‘my beautiful walled and perfect city will be mine only.’ Many times, the Holy Spirit of God also attaches a root meaning to names that counters man’s thoughts through the lips of men. For instance, the name of Babel has two root meanings: ‘the gate of God,’ and ‘confusion’.
  Maybe this would be a good spot to end this article. Lead readers to a place where they are left in suspense and maybe . . . . just maybe . . . . they might want to read further on. . . or . . . leave them wanting more. But after twenty-nine pages I think both reader and writer need to take a break. See you on the other side.
