THE RIVERS
Part 7

GIHON
The Sceptre of Solomon

INTRODUCTION

Although we are studying the second Chapter in the book of Genesis and verses 10 thru 14, we will stop at the second river called Gihon (And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. Genesis 2:13 before we continue on to the third river Hiddekel in 14. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. Genesis 2:14). Don’t ask me why we are stopping here because I DO NOT KNOW WHY YET.
Here is what we DO KNOW . . . smack dab in the middle of Chapter 2 of the book of Genesis where the Holy Spirit is writing (through the keyboard of Moses) about Adam’s creation, right at that crucial moment, it was THERE that God interrupted His narrative of the creation of the first human being on planet Earth that God inserts verses 10 – 14. WHY THERE and WHY NOW? For those who have not been following this series CLICK HERE and you will be safely redirected to the first post about what God had planned for ALL readers and searchers of truth in Genesis Chapter 2.

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)

The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; (Genesis 2:11)

And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. (Genesis 2:12)

And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. (Genesis 2:13)

And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. (Genesis 2:14)

Through these five small verses, God the Holy Spirit sets the complete history of mankind before our eyes. Even BEFORE GOD set Adam’s feet on terra firma his Creator set HIS determinate foreknowledge before us. Even BEFORE Adam set his eyes on the beauty of the garden of Eden, God sets our eyes on the horror of what is about to come upon mankind through man’s own doings. God uses A RIVER as an analogy so that man can understand the flow of the ravages of SIN that is about to drown humanity after SIN and DEATH becomes a reality to Adam’s descendants because of Adam’s trespass and sin against God. Through Genesis 2:10 and 2:14, the Holy Spirit presents the FUTURE of man, and the unrecoverable BREACH between man and God. Five verses describe and disclose what is about to happen to tribes, nations and people NOT YET born. These five verses reveal the complete HISTORY of mankind YET to happen. In these simple FIVE verses we are also shown that in spite of man’s determined destiny to self-destruct, God’s grace and mercy is also a forceful river made to wash away SIN and DEATH from man’s-stained soul. Through restoring the soul of man God offers not only NEW LIFE but He offers ETERNAL LIFE.
First in God’s analogy He presents HIMSELF, then He presents Israel, then He presents the enemies of Israel because the enemies of Israel are also the enemies of God. This is where we are now . . . And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia (Genesis 2:13). We are still at the second river called Gihon.
Probably we are stopping at Gihon because the Spirit of God is not yet finished revealing more about this river. If you have read the previous articles, then you would remember what Gihon means. Gihon has a dual meaning, ‘the breaking forth,’ ‘the breach,’ and/or ‘a fountain,’ and through the six mentions of Gihon in Scripture there are three kings of Israel connected or associated with Gihon. Solomon in 1st Kings Chapter 1:33, 38 and verse 45. Hezekiah in 2nd Chronicles 32:30, and Manasseh in 2nd Chronicles 33:14.

1. And the name of the second river [is] Gihon: the same [is] it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. (Genesis 2:13)
2. The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon: (1st Kings 1:33)
3. So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon. (1st Kings 1:38)
4. And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon: and they are come up from thence rejoicing, so that the city rang again. This [is] the noise that ye have heard. (1st Kings 1:45)
5. This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works. (2nd Chronicles 32:30)
6. Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah. (2nd Chronicles 33:14)

There are many levels of spiritual understanding in Gihon as there are many levels in a tall building. After the first mention of Gihon in And the name of the second river [is] Gihon: the same [is] it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia, everything about Gihon after Genesis 2:13 centers around the kingship of Israel and the failure of the dynastic rule of the descendants of David. This failure to adhere to The Law of Moses, and the failure to act in FAITH what God had promised to His people led to their national removal as a power house. The Old Testament discloses Israel’s failure as the New Testament discloses the failure of His church. What was Israel’s failure? What was and is the failure of the church? . . . TO BELIEVE through FAITH and to OBEY in FAITH.
To those who could care less about the kings of Israel, and to their failure AND to biblical history, I refer you to the following verses.

● All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2nd Timothy 3:16)
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2nd Timothy 3:17)
● For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. (Romans 15:4)

And for those who have not been taught the importance of history, especially biblical history CLICK HERE for a list and chart of kings of both Israel and Judah.  You may say that you love the written word of God, but if you have no idea that the history of Israel/Judah is important not only to the Christian, but it is also important to the haters of Christ then you have NOT been taught the basic principles and doctrines of the written word of God.
From the next five mentions of Gihon in Genesis Chapter 2 the Spirit of God uncovers all of man’s failure, Israel’s failure, the Gentile’s failure, AND the failure of king David’s dynastic descendants to rule righteously in truth and in judgment.

SIDE NOTE: An ANALOGY by the Holy Spirit describing the utter failure of the kings of Israel/Judah to RULE and to REIGN according to God’s ordinances. The failure of the line of kingship in the princes of Israel: the analogy . . . the sceptre of the lion and the sceptre of the vine of many branches of sceptres. Also consider that this is all found in the nineteenth Chapter.
Moreover take thou up a lamentation for the princes of Israel, (Ezekiel 19:1)
And say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions. (Ezekiel 19:2)
And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men. (Ezekiel 19:3)
The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt. (Ezekiel 19:4)
Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps, and made him a young lion. (Ezekiel 19:5)
And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and devoured men. (Ezekiel 19:6)
And he knew their desolate palaces, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was desolate, and the fulness thereof, by the noise of his roaring. (Ezekiel 19:7)
Then the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken in their pit. (Ezekiel 19:8)
And they put him in ward in chains, and brought him to the king of Babylon: they brought him into holds, that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel. (Ezekiel 19:9)
Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters. (Ezekiel 19:10)
And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches. (Ezekiel 19:11)
But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them. (Ezekiel 19:12)
And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground. (Ezekiel 19:13)
And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation. (Ezekiel 19:14) ◆ The End of the Side Note: the analogy . . . as the lion and as the vine of many branches.

No earthly skilled writer can compare to the worthiness of our GREAT Wordsmith, called THE WORD of God, through the UNSEEN pen of the Spirit of God. If you actually read the 19th Chapter of Ezekiel, then you saw one of the many tremendous analogies comparing the failure of the sceptre (kingship) with Israel, and her capture by a greater sceptre, the sceptre of Babylon. THAT, my friends, IS HISTORY past and history future. What say ye to silly ignorant men of ill repute when they disparage the Bible as meaningless myth written by simpletons? I say, See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; (Deuteronomy 30:15). I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (Deuteronomy 30:19), therefore, choose wisely. Now back to Gihon and to the sceptre of Israel/Judah.

GIHON and The Sceptres of Israel and Judah

I will repeat and repeat the meaning of Gihon until you will have it stamped into your memory. Gihon means ‘the breaking forth,’ ‘the breach’ and/or ‘a fountain.’ Thus, through the dual meaning of Gihon, it discloses a fracturing away from God AND a fountain flowing with the grace AND mercy of God.
From king David to the last king, king Zedekiah, was approximately four hundred years of a downward plunge for the former nation made great by their Creator God, the King of Israel, to a fractured nation mired in its own corruption. In our study of Gihon and the sceptre of Israel and Judah, the Spirit of God deliberately selected three kings: Solomon, Hezekiah and Manasseh. WHY these three kings? As Gihon has two different meanings, Gihon’s dualism is also seen in these three kings.

◆
Solomon
The First King of Israel Connected to Gihon

As Solomon’s greatest strength became his weakness, so also, our greatest strengths can also become our greatest failings. For example, the greatest strength of the United States is its Constitution and its laws of order in The Bill of Rights. One of our weaknesses is in assuming that man is capable of properly maintaining and overseeing these two documents and that man is also capable of obeying what is within these two documents.
This nation has become consumed with RIGHTS and that ALL have the same RIGHTS. The more rights people claim for themselves, the less rights they allow others, and the more rights people claim for themselves, the less rights they allow God to have. All cannot have the same rights, simply because ALL do not desire the same rights. There are scores who DEMAND more rights than others . . .in civil rights, religious rights, state rights, federal rights and rights of anarchy, rights to murder unborn and born babies, the right to act as beasts, the right to celebrate insanity, and the right to force others to ACCEPT and to AGREE with the madness of others. Only God has RIGHTS, mankind has responsibility; thus, man is responsible to obey God. Our very strength has made us weak and conquerable. Many great and strong nations were conquered through their strengths.
Solomon, king of Israel (before the nation divided into two separate nations under his son Rehoboam) reigned forty years. Forty is the number of trial and testing. That period was the greatest nationalist era of Israel from the river Euphrates to the Nile River and to the Sea. And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life. (1st Kings 4:21) As scores of potentates from Solomon onward expanded their lands, there was something else that also expanded and that was TAXES. With more land ownership also comes the expense of maintaining the additional territory. As government expands and grows so also grows government corruption and a heavy burdensome yoke is forced on its citizenry. A large government cannot sustain itself as more people become an active part of government itself. Civil servants are burdens. Government employees are burdens. Senators and representatives become burdens. Those who create unlawful laws are burdens. Burdensome governments become oppressive governments.
Solomon’s wisdom became his failure. He failed in maintaining a spiritually healthy government. He failed in obeying God and His word. Wisdom failed him. Without the power of FAITH man’s wisdom fails. Solomon was faithless. The 11th Chapter of the book of Hebrews in the New Testament documents the FAITH that existed in the saints of the Old Testament. That is why this 11th Chapter is called THE FAITH CHAPTER. And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets. (Hebrews 11:32) God the Holy Spirit adds these men of the Old Testament to those of FAITH. Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthae, David, Samuel and the prophets were ALL men of FAITH. Yes, there were times of failure in Gideon, in Barak, in Samson, in Jephthae, in David, in Samuel and in the prophets, BUT FAITH NEVER FAILS. It was through FAITH that these individuals obeyed God and out of weakness they were made strong. What a record of faithfulness, what a confirmation that FAITH through the power of God overcomes the wisdom of men.

● Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, (Hebrews 11:33)
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. (Hebrews 11:34)
● And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: (Hebrews 11:39)

God’s message from the faithful in the Old Testament should stimulate and encourage FAITH in all those of faith in the New Testament. That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (1st Corinthians 2:5) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1st Corinthians 2:14) Guess in what chapter Solomon’s tragic failure is recorded. It is in the 11th Chapter of 1st Kings. CLICK HERE fore more about the number 11.

But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; (1st Kings 11:1)
Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. (1st Kings 11:2)
And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. (1st Kings 11:3)
For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. (1st Kings 11:4)
For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. (1st Kings 11:5)
And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father. (1st Kings 11:6)
Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. (1st Kings 11:7)
And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods. (1st Kings 11:8)
And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, (1st Kings 11:9)
And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded. (1st Kings 11:10)
Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. (1st Kings 11:11)
Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father’s sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son. (1st Kings 11:12)
Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen. (1st Kings 11:13)

That greatest time period in Israel’s history ushered in Israel’s implosion from twelve united tribes as one nation to two nations. From twelve united tribes to ten tribes called Israel, to two tribes called Judah. After Solomon’s death, the burden of being heavily taxed became the breaking point of the nation of Israel. And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. (1st Kings 12:11)This is a bitter example of how those in governmental leadership care NOT for their people. Yet those who are NOT subject to wage taxation, and property taxation, and possession taxation BUT live off the taxation of others also care NOT for those who supply these welfarites with ‘free’ goods and services. This saying, “Nothing is certain except death and taxes” is true, but it also misses one great human inherent trait: GREED. With a large government comes more greed by both government itself and from those who benefit from greed. Death and taxes may be certain, but the SIN NATURE of man is just as certain and just as inescapable.
Solomon, the wisest king who greatly failed was an example of this duality within mankind. Scripture CLEARLY states that there is nothing GOOD within man. There is NONE good, there is NONE righteous, there is NONE that seeketh God.

● And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:17)
● And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. (Mark 10:18)
● What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; (Romans 3:9)
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (Romans 3:10)
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. (Romans 3:11)
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (Romans 3:12)

When Christ said Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God in Mark 10:18 did Christ lie? There is only the lie that within man there is something GOOD and WORTHY to be accepted by God. The biblical principal that there is NONE good has become a great stumbling block to many. It is not only unbelief but it is also pride and it is dishonest that many cannot accept that within their own selves is nothing righteous. Many say that there is ‘some good’ within all; however, if there is ‘some good’ then there must be ‘some evil.’ It has never been the measure of ‘some good’ that God speaks of, but His measure of evil that determines God’s condemnation and judgment against mankind.
There is NOTHING that God desires of unrepentant man. Just because a person may SOMETIMES do a good act, or SOMETIMES think a good thought, does NOT make that person worthy to approach God as being GOOD. Those who espouse the goodness of man have a completely different definition of goodness then what God considers GOODNESS. If you believe that within unrepentant man there is GOODNESS then you do NOT understand what God uses to measure GOODNESS. The standard for GOODNESS has NEVER been set by man, nor can it ever be set by man. It is GOD who set the standard for GOODNESS and you ain’t it! Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Side Note: Emotions within the Womb: We have been indoctrinated with the fallacy that mankind is a sinner ONLY when he acts in sin or when he commits a sin. However, Scripture discloses that all are BORN UNDER SIN and IN SIN and lives IN SIN. There is a scripture example of SIN in the unborn within the womb. Scripture reveals much about the unborn while in the womb.
And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. (Genesis 25:21)
And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD. (Genesis 25:22)
And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. (Genesis 25:23)
This conflict BEFORE birth discloses that a child BEFORE birth has emotions, it can feel, it can smile. A baby’s smile in the womb is NOT prenatal muscle development as some so-called scientists erroneously state. A baby in the womb displays facial reactions. They smile, they frown, they yawn, they not only know joy, but they also react to pain and to discomfort. A unborn baby can hear. A child in the womb has personality (Esau and Jacob’s personalities are already established as two different characteristics in opposition to each other). While in the nest of a womb, a child has the ability to react to outside influences and forces of sound and energy. All of this is proven by Scripture. Bear with me here at this point . . . consider the following Scriptures.
● And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. (Luke 1:36)
For with God nothing shall be impossible. (Luke 1:37)
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. (Luke 1:38)
And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; (Luke 1:39)
And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. (Luke 1:40)
And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: (Luke 1:41)
● For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. (Luke 1:44)
At six months, John IN the womb leaped for joy. Was that not emotion? At six months of muscle, nerve, and mind development, JOY was not merely muscle development. THAT WAS EMOTION. From the womb John was filled with the Holy Ghost. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb. (Luke 1:15) This is beyond our understanding, but we do know and we do understand that God’s foreknowledge of His creatures reveals the UNSEEN and the SEEN elements moving together in the impossibilities of the Sovereign God.
● Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
● Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (Hebrews 11:3)
While Esau and Jacob shared the same space and environment in the womb of Rebecca they fought and kicked against each other for dominance. THAT WAS EMOTION. In the womb the two children yet to be born fought against each other. TWO peoples came forth from one source: the nation of Israel and the kingdom of Edom. The battle between Esau and Jacob began BEFORE their births. Jacob and Esau came from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Genesis 2:17)

The Holy Spirit of God discloses through the book of Jeremiah 1:5 that BEFORE Jeremiah was formed by God that GOD KNEW Jeremiah, and while IN the womb, GOD SANCTIFIED and ORDAINED him a prophet to the nations. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Do you think that it was only Jeremiah that God KNEW before He formed him? Do you think that it was ONLY this man Jeremiah who was sanctified and ordained to serve God as a prophet to the nations while still in the womb? There are many notable individuals in both the Old and New Testament who God witnessed of His foreknowledge BEFORE their births. There was Samson, For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. (Judges 13:5) From the womb Samson had been determined by God to be a deliverer, a man of action, and a person set aside to serve God. Although, Samson had many failings, Samson in dying accomplished what God had prophesied.
Do not forget Hannah and Samuel. This once barren women willingly gave her son, Samuel, to serve God. Read the prayer of Hannah in 1st Samuel Chapter 2, it discloses her deep FAITH in her Savior. It was by FAITH that Hannah gave Samuel to God, and in turn God gave Hannah three more sons and two daughters. FAITH is never barren, whether in barrenness or fruitfulness wherever God has placed you, FAITH is never without purpose, FAITH is never fruitless, FAITH produces UNSEEN offspring as it produces both UNSEEN and SEEN indescribable blessings. ◆ End of Side Note: Emotions within the Womb:

Solomon’s connection to Gihon was a downward path in the ‘the breaking forth,’: . . . and bring him down to Gihon . . . went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon. Notice who went down and remained down and who came up rejoicing. Solomon began well, but at Gihon, as king in Gihon, the breach that king Solomon caused between God and himself, and between God and the nation of Israel, both Solomon and Israel NEVER recovered from their downward plunge into idolatry. As the church at Ephesus left her first love, so also, Solomon’s heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel and Solomon remained alienated from God. And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, (1st Kings 11:9).

SIDE NOTE: IDOLATRY brought in by king Solomon and also into the nation of Israel can be compared to what occurred in the infant stage of the Church at Ephesus. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. (1st Kings 11:5) Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. (1st Kings 11:7) And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods. (1st Kings 11:8) The time period of king Solomon can also be considered the beginning of Temple worship in Jerusalem. This was a new beginning for Israel: the nation then had a great building (The Temple) and a visible stationary priesthood after centuries of a mobile Tabernacle, and priests without a place and scattered judges. Solomon’s reign ushered in The Age of the Temple.
In the Old Testament God gave Israel (in the beginning) a mobile Tabernacle and later a stationary Temple and a dynastic priesthood. However, the people didn’t want a building, so they worshiped on hills, and in groves, and wherever they desired to place their idols. In the New Testament, during the age of the Church, God gave them a PERSON (Christ) instead of a building, and guess what happened. Man desired a building. God gave the Church A HOLY PRIEST (the Lord Jesus Christ) and guess what man desired. Man formed a priesthood based on the rejected priesthood of the Old Testament. Through time man began to worship the building instead of God, and they began to worship their own organization centered around their own doctrines. The first time that the word priest is mentioned it is Melchizedek, the priest of the most high God in Genesis 14:18. There is only ONE righteous and holy priest and that is the LORD Himself in His office of PRIESTHOOD. And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he [was] the priest of the most high God. Solomon was the earthly figure and the prophecy of the ONE who was to come in the fullness of time: The King of Israel, the Lord Jesus Christ. Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel. (John 1:49) Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed [is] the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord. (John 12:13) As Solomon was seduced by his many pagan wives and concubines he thus succumbed to idolatry, so also the first church of the Age of the Church was also seduced by the Nicolaitans and succumbed to idolatry and to the deeds and doctrines of the man made hierarchical order of the Nicolaitans.
● And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. (Ephesians 5:11)
● Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. (Revelation 2:4)
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (Revelation 2:5)
But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. (Revelation 2:6)

The Ephesians lived in the midst of one of the darkest cults formed around sexual obscenities, the body of Diana. Today we would call the body of Diana a booby trap. That cult was a precursor of our own age of lasciviousness, the lust over the body of Diana with the overwhelming abundance of breasts on her upper body was falsely tied to the idea of fertility. The economy of the Ephesians relied on the image of Diana of the Ephesians. Think of the many different economies that sex, a woman’s body and breasts are built on today in the United States. (Acts 19:27)

● So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth. (Acts 19:27)
And when they heard [these sayings], they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great [is] Diana of the Ephesians. (Acts 19:28)
● But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great [is] Diana of the Ephesians. (Acts 19:34)
And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, [Ye] men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the [image] which fell down from Jupiter? (Acts 19:35)

Idolatry comes in many ways and employs many methods to take the hearts, minds and souls away from our Great God and Father, and from the Son of His Love, and from the Spirit truth, the Holy Spirit of God. ◆ End of Side Note: Idolatry.

We have touched on one meaning of the dual meaning of Gihon in ‘the breaking forth,’ now let us consider the other meaning of Gihon as ‘a fountain.’ Solomon, as a king, and his reign as the most glorious of all reigns of the scepter of Israel and Judah were a prophetic view of what was to come for Israel and for the world. And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life. (1st Kings 4:21)
And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that [is] on the sea shore. (1st Kings 4:29) And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. (1st Kings 4:30)
In these five verses of Genesis Chapter 2, God presented a river named Gihon not only as a fount of grace and mercy, but a fountain of hope built on prophesy of a coming glorious KING and KINGDOM.

Immeasurable wisdom, understanding, and largeness of heart was God’s gift to Solomon, whose name means ‘peace,‘ and/or ‘peacefulness.’ He was the third king to rule over a united Israel; his name is mentioned more than any other king of Israel or Judah. Only two kings were anointed with a horn of oil: David and Solomon. CLICK HERE for horn of oil. Saul, the sixth person anointed and the first king of Israel, was anointed with a vial of oil. David was the seventh person anointed and Solomon was the eighth person anointed both anointed with a HORN of oil and NOT a VIAL of oil. Note the numbers: six (unrepentant man), seven (God’s perfection), eight (new beginning and resurrection).
There are many doubles in Scripture connected to Solomon, for instance, in 1st Kings 11:9, we are told that the LORD God of Israel appeared unto him twice. Solomon was anointed two times: 1st Kings 1:32-40, and 1st Chronicles 29:22. And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest. Since Solomon symbolized the GREATER KING AT COME, the second anointing also symbolized that this GREATER KING would be anointed.
Consider the three mentions of Gihon: in the number 2 below, Solomon goes DOWN to Gihon; this was Solomon’s spiritual spiral downward. In this we have the first meaning of Gihon in ‘the breaking forth.’ In number 3 below, Solomon is made king, however he does not GO DOWN, six men go down, BUT NOT Solomon? WHY? In this 4th mention of Gihon below, we have the second meaning of Gihon, ‘the fountain.’ Solomon prophetically represents here the fountain of living waters when Christ will appear as the ROYAL KING OF ISRAEL at His inauguration celebration at The Millennial Reign of Christ.
Now comes the clincher in the 4th mention of Gihon in the number 4 above. Solomon is NOT mentioned, but he is referred to . . . anointed him king. WHY? Solomon is NOT mentioned because he symbolizes the COMING, yet UNSEEN Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. This UNSEEN Messiah would be manifested to the world (the number four) as the express image of the invisible God. And to add to this, here is another double mention of Solomon in the New Testament, but this double also symbolizes that it was Christ who was TWO FOLD GREATER, DOUBLY GREATER, and beyond MEASURE in GREATNESS as GREATER than king Solomon. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon [is] here. (Matthew 12:42)The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon [is] here. (Luke 11:31)
Solomon through the LIVING fountains of Gihon represented Wisdom, Understanding, and LARGENESS OF HEART that would exist in the Person of Christ. And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that [is] on the sea shore. (1st Kings 4:29) And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. (1st Kings 4:30) And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom. (1st Kings 4:34) Solomon was merely an earthly man set by God to be a symbol of a heavenly Man. That which is of the earth cannot compare to that which is of the heavenly realm of the GOD of CREATION, the GOD OF GLORY, and the POWER and WISDOM of GOD.
The Old Testament was designed not only to reveal GOD to man, but it was also meant to reveal that GOD came to earth in the LIKENESS of sinful flesh to redeem man through the revelation of the New Testament. The natural became a means for man to understand the spiritual. The SEEN became an avenue to see the UNSEEN. The tangible was purposefully designed so that the invisible would become visible.
The GODHEAD is presented to mankind in the very beginning of the Old Testament in Genesis Chapter 1: first God the Father is revealed in In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) Secondly, the Spirit of God is revealed in Genesis 1:2, And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Thirdly and finally, God the Son, as the Light of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ is presented in Genesis 1:3 and 4, And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

● Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12)
● As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. (John 9:5)
● I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. (John 12:46 )

Since God is a God of order, He deliberately presented HIMSELF in HIS fulness to the world at the very beginning of His written word. The first four verses was written for the world to KNOW that the GODHEAD existed BEFORE creation. Then from verse 5 onward the natural world (as we know it) was created and formed. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Solomon (although a man caught between two worlds symbolizing the spiritual world and being of a corrupt nature) was a man of a dual or of a double nature. Solomon, the man, loved the LORD, and he walked in the statutes of his father David, BUT he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. Wise in many ways, but unstable in many other ways. A double minded man [is] unstable in all his ways. (James 1:8) Solomon, the man, loved the LORD, and as a king, he loved many strange women. And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. (1st Kings 3:3) But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, [and] Hittites. (1st Kings 11:1:29) Why the difference here between Solomon the man and Solomon the king? As king, Solomon, ruled over a kingdom controlled by laws, and therein, as is the nature of kings and rulers and leaders and politicians laws are made by kings but obedience to those laws are seldom considered, thus, even the laws of God are dismissed. And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded. (1st Kings 11:10)
We again see the dual nature of Gihon and the dual nature of Solomon. Although Solomon was the precursor of a GREATER KING to come in WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING and in LARGENESS of HEART, Solomon could never truly fulfill the divine perfection of excellency that was IN the Lord Jesus Christ.
Solomon was given the role of a king to point the way to the DIVINE KING, the PERFECT KING, the ROYAL KING, the RIGHTEOUS KING, the EXCELLENT KING, the ETERNAL King and the HOLY KING. (Interesting that in Chapter 1 of the gospel of Matthew that it is in verse 6 that Solomon is mentioned in the genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ further disclosing that this great king was of the corrupt nature of mankind, unrepentant man. And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias. (Matthew 1:6) Although David is also mentioned in this sixth verse, we should see the message hidden in the shadows of spiritual numbers. Again and again, the Holy Spirit of God brings in the sinful nature of mankind by linking adultery and murder by weaving the unnamed name of Bathsheba and also stating the name of Urias into the narrative of verse SIX.  No matter how great king David was even the greatest of kings can NEVER be KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelation 19:16)
Thus, through the river called Gihon, the Holy Spirit prophetically sets before the reader KINGSHIP. That is why there are three kings connected to Gihon. Not just any king from any kingdom but specific kings from a specific nation, the nation of Israel. Thus, and therefore, and consequentially depicting Israel not only as an IMPORTANT nation in the scheme of history, but ISRAEL is center to the things of God in the plan and program of God. Each king (Solomon, Hezekiah and Manasseh) represent AND symbolize a dual nature within each king and the dual nature in Gihon . . . ‘the breach,’ or the ‘the breaking forth,’ and ‘the fountain.’ Also, through Gihon in Genesis Chapter 2, Israel is set before us as a NATION of great importance to the WORLD.
Remember, that previously I mentioned that this five verse section in the 2nd Chapter of Genesis describes and discloses what is about to happen to tribes, nations and people NOT YET born. These five verses reveal the complete HISTORY of mankind YET to happen. In these simple FIVE verses we are also shown that in spite of man’s determined destiny to self destruct, God’s grace and mercy is also a forceful pure river of water of life that freely flows to wash away SIN and DEATH from man’s stained soul. Also, through Gihon and the three kings mentioned in connection with Gihon historically discloses the importance of the SCEPTRE OF ISRAEL AND THE SCEPTRE OF JUDAH. These five verses in Genesis 2 is much more than God’s foreknowledge, it is the FUTURE HISTORY of the WORLD. We have written about Ethiopia, but then, the Spirit of God BUILDS ALL around KINGSHIP.
Are we through writing about Solomon? Definitely NO! Remember when I wrote about Solomon and the many doubles connected to him. Well, here is another double. What Bible number is known more than any number? The number 6 – 6 – 6 is a number that both those of FAITH and those of NO FAITH recognize.

◆
Solomon
and
six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold

Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold; (2nd Chronicles 9:13)

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. (Revelation 13:18)

Before we even get into the meat of this section, let us consider the nourishment within the spiritual numbers. Do you see it? The first mention of 6 – 6 – 6 is in 2nd Chronicles 9:13. The last mention of 6 – 6 – 6 is in Revelation 13:18. Do you see it now? Do you see the DOUBLE NINE? The first mention is in 9:13, the last mention is in 13:18. Do I have to draw out the conclusion for you? (9:13 – 13:18) or (9:13 – 13: 9 + 9) We already know that the number thirteen is the number of REBELLION and God’s JUDGMENT against that rebellion. CLICK HERE. The number nine (9) is also the last single digit showing us not only the end, but the approach or the beginning of a new thing. The number nine is the number of conclusions and finality. In this number, we have the conclusion of the whole matter: the matter of evil, the matter of man’s sin, the matter of man’s judgment, the matter of the old heaven and the old earth comes to its conclusion because God establishes a new heaven and a new earth. Of course, what I have written is mere coincidence, address numbers are accidental and by chance. There is NOTHING BY CHANCE in Scripture!
Let us look once more at these verses to see the similarities and the differences, BUT where is the connection and why did the Spirit of God deliberately design that these specific numbers should center around Solomon and the man of sin also known as The Beast? In 2nd Chronicles the number six hundred and threescore and six connects to GOLD, and NOT to Solomon. Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold; (2nd Chronicles 9:13) Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon. (2nd Chronicles 9:14) The word chapmen takes in all categories of sellers: traders, traffickers, exporters and retailers. This weight of gold that was given to Solomon wasn’t a one time tribute; this is what came to Solomon yearly. When you read further into Chapter 9 you will see what Solomon did with the gold.

● Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold; (2nd Chronicles 9:13)
● And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target. (2nd Chronicles 9:16)
And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon. (2nd Chronicles 9:16)

Notice one target had six hundred shekels of beaten gold, so it was a large shield. While in the next verse, one shield had three hundred shekels of gold, so it was a smaller shield which were stored in his house in the forest of Lebanon. Also notice that one was called a target and the other was called a shield. Solomon understood the need for BOTH a defensive weapon and a weapon of war. Yet, he did not apply this concept to his own life spiritually. The military was prepared with two forms of defensive weapons, one which could also be used as a weapon of aggression, but Solomon did not see a need to CONTINUALLY guard his heart and his lust. As he aged, he allowed the enemies of God to infiltrate into his heart. In 1st Kings 11:4, the word heart is recorded three times . . . his wives turned away his heart after other gods . . . his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God . . as [was] the heart of David his father.

● For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, [that] his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as [was] the heart of David his father. (1st Kings 11:4)
● Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin. (Nehemiah 13:26)

How does one spiritually fight a good fight, or fight a good warfare? (1st Timothy 1:18) This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; (1st Timothy 1:18) Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: (1st Timothy 1:19) Chapter 6 of the book of Ephesians instructs us concerning spiritual weaponry.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (Ephesians 6:10)
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13)
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (Ephesians 6:14)
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (Ephesians 6:15)
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (Ephesians 6:16)
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (Ephesians 6:17)
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (Ephesians 6:18)

Notice the basic foundational spiritual weapons: TRUTH, PREPARED by being at peace with God, FAITH, A MIND ASSURED BY SALVATION, THE WORD OF GOD, PRAYER, and SPIRIT and CHRIST BASED. And add to this verse in Matthew 22:29, Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

● And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? (Mark 12:24)
● But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. (1st Corinthians 1:24)

At the beginning of Solomon’s reign his dual nature could be seen in the building of his own house. The LORD’s house took seven years, but Solomon’s palace compound took thirteen (13) years. But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house. (1st Kings 7:1) Notice the address location. The Holy Spirit of God discloses that GOD took notice of the time frame of Solomon’s home. In God’s foreknowledge of address location, the number 7:1 is a slap in the face to Solomon. The number 7 is GOD’S NUMBER, the number 1 is GOD’S NUMBER, and in everything GOD SHOULD HAVE THE PREEMINENCE. Even in the building of Solomon’s magnificent palatial compound, Solomon’s heart was totally focused on himself.
There is also another interesting point that the Spirit of God desires that the reader should see. Let us go back to the building of the ARK in Genesis 6:15. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. The ARK was not only a vessel of deliverance, it symbolized the Person of Christ. The ARK represented CHRIST, the Deliverer, and the SAVIOR. (Read Exodus 25) We are going to go lightly through the theme of THE ARK. Let us ONLY consider the measurements of the ARK as given in Genesis 6:15 and see the connection to king Solomon. There are three measurements of importance in the ARK. The length was three hundred cubits. The breadth was fifty cubits. The height was thirty cubits. Three hundred denotes the GODHEAD. The fifty denotes the perfection of God’s GRACE. The thirty speaks of the perfection of the Divine Order of God.

(Don’t rush me. I hate being rushed. This article focuses on Solomon as he is linked to the flowing living waters of Gihon but following Solomon we will be studying Hezekiah. The number three hundred is firmly set in king Hezekiah, so therefore, we will not NOW at this point write about the number three hundred.)

Let us compare the measurements of Solomon’s house, and the porch of pillars in 1st Kings 7:2 with the ARK of Noah. He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof [was] an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars. The length was a hundred cubits NOT three hundred cubits, but the other two measurements are exactly the same as the measurements of the ark of Noah: fifty and thirty. These two measurements are recorded ONLY TWICE in all of Scripture: Noah’s ark and Solomon’s house and his porch of pillars.
The number one hundred is NOT recorded in Scripture alone or set by itself. WHY? The number one hundred is NOT documented in Scripture set by itself because it represents the number of man’s responsibility and it also represents the law (as in the ten commandments). Therefore, since man’s responsibility is connected to The Law of God, man’s responsibility is accountable to God and to God alone. As the first dual number in two digits complete the end of the single digit, it also begins a new sequence of a double digit. Number TEN COMPLETES the cycle, and nothing more is necessary for its completeness. One example would be that the antediluvian period or age was finalized or completed in the tenth generation from God to Noah. (It would be nine (9) generations from Adam to Noah). Since ten is the number of man’s responsibility, we can understand that our fingers (10), and our ten toes (10) represent our work and our walk in action. We are responsible to God individually and collectively. All governments are accountable to God to preserve and to protect their citizens against all that would harm them whether it is economical or social rebellious forces joined together to destroy the family structure or to dissolve the binding elements that unite a nation: the divide and conquer principle.
Solomon’s house contained a throne room, a place of JUDGMENT. There is the number one hundred symbolizing man’s responsibility. This explains why Solomon’s measurements were 100 (to JUDGE), 50 (to JUDGE in grace), and 30 (to Judge according to God’s order and according to His word).

● And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof [was] fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch [was] before them: and the [other] pillars and the thick beam [were] before them. (1st Kings 7:6)
Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, [even] the porch of judgment: and [it was] covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other. (1st Kings 7:7)
● But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. (Psalm 9:7)

The interesting part is that Solomon built his compound using God’s measurements based on the Ark of deliverance. Also notice that the word gold is mentioned more times when referenced to the things in The Sanctuary in the Tabernacle in the wilderness. The book of Exodus, Chapters 25 and 37 records the word gold in connection to the Ark, the mercy seat, the lampstand, and to the utensils that represent the GODHEAD bodily and the many DIVINE attributes of the Person of Christ. Gold symbolizes the righteousness and purity of God, so it is fitting that the word gold is found more times in those Chapters in Exodus then in any other place in Scripture. However, the word gold is mentioned in the 9th Chapter of 2nd Chronicles in 12 verses for a total of 16 mentions, but it is NOT connected to God’s righteousness. It is NOT connected to the Person of Christ. Now that is important. The clue lies in that fact that the word gold is in the 9th Chapter of 2nd Chronicles, and NINE represents . . . come on, you know what that number represents . . . it means the conclusion of a matter, the end, the finality, IT IS FINISHED, and goodbye. But I forgot to add one important thing . . . it is the conclusion of a matter IN JUDGMENT.
OK, now you can read the following verses about king Solomon and how and where he employed the pure element of gold.

● And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart. (2nd Chronicles 9:1)
● And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon. (2nd Chronicles 9:9)
And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones. (2nd Chronicles 9:10)
● Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold; (2nd Chronicles 9:13)
Beside [that which] chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon. (2nd Chronicles 9:14)
And king Solomon made two hundred targets [of] beaten gold: six hundred [shekels] of beaten gold went to one target. (2nd Chronicles 9:15)
And three hundred shields [made he of] beaten gold: three hundred [shekels] of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon. (2nd Chronicles 9:16)
Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold. (2nd Chronicles 9:17)
And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays: (2nd Chronicles 9:18)
And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom. (2nd Chronicles 9:19)
And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon. (2nd Chronicles 9:20)
For the king’s ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks. (2nd Chronicles 9:21)
And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom. (2nd Chronicles 9:22)
And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart. (2nd Chronicles 9:23)
And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year. (2nd Chronicles 9:24)

The gold, the righteousness of God, exemplifies and embodies the GREATER KING to come when Christ comes to reign and rule over the earth in His millennium kingdom.
As king Solomon and the river Gihon have dual roles, and dual natures, the imposing imperial majesticness of Solomon’s grandness cannot be compared to the millennial age of Christ. Solomon’s age could be labeled The Golden Age of Israel. The thousand year reign of the Lord Jesus Christ on the throne could be considered Israel’s Promised Age Fulfilled. The millennial reign of Christ on earth is often thought of as the return of the state of peace under the Federal headship of Adam, but this is NOT scripturally correct. Yes, there will be PEACE, but there will also be JUDGMENT during this thousand year time frame.
The thousand-year reign will bring blessings to the Gentiles but never forget that the blessings that God promised to Abraham favoring Israel was set in time to be fulfilled. Do not follow those who hate Israel (the apple of God’s eye) and speak falsehoods and lies. The Israel of today is not the Israel of yesterday nor the Israel of tomorrow, for the Israel of tomorrow will yet receive what God promised to Abraham. The Messiah, the Christ is not called the Holy One of Israel without reason. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee. (Isaiah 12:6) Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. (Zechariah 2:10)
The Israel that will see the promises of Abraham fulfilled will also be an Israel fulfilled for they will LOOK upon the ONE whom that had crucified and the ONE whom they had denied.

● Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. (Daniel 10:14)
● For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. (Isaiah 14:1)
● Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. (Psalm 102:13)
● And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. (Zechariah 12:9)
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. (Zechariah 12:10)
In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. (Zechariah 12:11)
And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; (Zechariah 12:12)
The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; (Zechariah 12:13)
All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart. (Zechariah 12:14)
● In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. (Zechariah 13:1)
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land. (Zechariah 13:2)
● And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. (Zechariah 13:9)

The Israel that will live in the fulfilled promises of God to Abraham MUST first go through a period of great mourning and great bitterness of denied TRUTH. The ONE they deny today is the ONE that they will acknowledge tomorrow. (Zechariah 12:10) In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. (Zechariah 12:11)
This time of deep mourning and bitterness of spirit will bring in the PROMISED AGE of ISRAEL’s Fulfillment. But there is not only ONE who is GREATER than Solomon, there is an AGE greater than the Golden Age of Solomon, and there is a GREATER state and position than that of the earth and time and that is The Ageless Eternal State.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29)

As Gihon means ‘the breaking forth,’ and/or ‘a fountain,‘ we have the righteous and holy fountain flowing from the KING GREATER THAN SOLOMON in Matthew 12:42 and in Luke 11:31. At the Lord’s first manifestation as GREATER THAN SOLOMON. His KINGSHIP was rejected. At the Lord’s coming in glory as King of Israel and King of the earth, HIS AGE will be GREATER THAN SOLOMON, and ALL will bow because a GREATER than Solomon has come. The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon [is] here. (Matthew 12:42)
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. (Luke 11:31)

Through this dual witness of the ONE who is GREATER than SOLOMON the Holy Spirit discloses much about God’s immensity of divine goodness. The name of Solomon and/or the plural Solomon’s is mentioned 306 times throughout Scripture. Again, we have another interesting number where the number of the GODHEAD in the number 300 and the number of unrepentant man in the number 6 is linked together, thus, tying God’s Divine Order and Perfection in a man, an earthly king who represents the Divine Order and the Divine Perfection of the heavenly MAN, Jesus Christ. SOLOMON
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold; (2nd Chronicles 9:13)
and
The Number of THE BEAST and the Number of a Man
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. (Revelation 13:18)

In 2nd Chronicles 9:13 we have the number of FINALITY (the number nine) in JUDGMENT and the number thirteen: REBELLION and JUDGMENT. Also tied to this was king Solomon is the element of gold. Although God loved Solomon, the king’s failure to obey God came with an immense judgment: Israel was torn away from the linage of David and became known as Judah, and ten tribes became known as Israel.
Through the numbers of Six hundred threescore [and] six something else is set in action. From the gold of Solomon to the number of a man called The Beast has been a journey of thousands of years, and thousands of hopes ravaged, and millions have died and souls lost. What is the connected between Solomon and the man called The Beast? One is the highest and the other is the lowest. One is an earthly king and the other is as a beast of the earth. One points to a GREATER KING to come, the other points to the extreme consequence of madness in mankind when man (being dust) believes his own lies of godhood and godness.
Most individuals recognize the number structure of 6 – 6 – 6, however of those who recognize this number most know nothing of its meaning or its history in the number of six. The first time that the number six appears in Scripture is in Chapter 1:31 of the book of Genesis. On this sixth day God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. On that sixth day all of the natural world was made after his kind. No evolution there, however, notice that the Holy Spirit of God discloses the seed that is IN itself (SPERM/SEED) yields fruit after his kind. Why are we going back to God making man in His own image and after His own likeness? Why consider the fixity of species versus evolution at this point in this article about Solomon and The Beast?

● And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed [is] in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. (Genesis 1:11)
And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. (Genesis 1:12)
● And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. (Genesis 1:24)
And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:25)
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26)
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 1:27)
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:28)
And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. (Genesis 1:29)
And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. (Genesis 1:30)
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Genesis 1:31)

Six is the number that represents unrepentant man. In five verses the phrase after his kind is recorded SIX times. CLICK HERE for more about the sixth day.  The last documentation of the number six is a trinity constructed around Satan, his man of sin called The Beast and that Wicked, and the prophet of The Beast.
In Revelation 13:18, the Holy Spirit places the number of evil (13) and the number of double judgment (9 + 9 =18) as the unseen message from the UNSEEN kingdom of the Supernatural realm of the Eternal God, the GREAT I AM.
What is the connection between Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold; (2nd Chronicles 9:13) and Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. (Revelation 13:18)? The Beast that will rule over the globe will be a man. A man who is consumed with being a king after the manner of king Solomon. This beastly man will rule as no other before him has ever ruled. Nimrod will not even compare to what this beast of a man will achieve in acquiring kingdoms.
No matter what political policies are followed, ALL FORMS of politics have demonstrated that the core of politics is not to serve but to STEAL. There is a well-known proverb that ‘there is no honor among thieves.” But there is also another older proverb that “there is a code of honor among thieves.: Consider the latter when king Saul (the first king of Israel) protected Agag the king of the Amalekites BUT Saul destroyed ALL the people of Agag.

And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. (1st Samuel 15:8)
But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly. (1st Samuel 15:9)

Saul shielded Agag from death because it was the unsaid code of king protecting another king. This ancient code of hypocritical honor still strongly remains intact in the chambers of every government and in the sanctimonious corridors of every religious organization in existence. The code is simple to understand and even simpler to enforce. Marxists protects Marxism. Democrats and Republicans protects Democrats, Republicans, Marxists, and everything that is Islamic. Pedophile priests protect pedophile priests. Unjust individuals protects other unjust individuals. See how that works? This code does not reveal itself through words of truth, but through acts of dismissiveness and even pretending ignorance of truth. Politics and religion are intimately connected in their ungodly laws and doctrines, in their self protection methods, and in their financial systems of payoffs through book publishing contracts. There is no honor as the code of honor among those who rob the righteous of their righteousness.
How will The Beast acquire such immense global power and recognition beyond all of Solomon’s wealth, and beyond the power of every potentiate that has every dominated the world? The book of the REVELATION of Jesus Christ also reveals the end of man, the end of politics, the end of SIN and the end of DEATH.

And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. (Revelation 17:12) These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. (Revelation 17:13)

We, ALL OF US, live in a time frame where men of renown own wealth beyond wealth and where their power is unlimited. They are kings without kingdoms. They own kings, their own nations, they own thoughts, and they own imaginations. They have one mind, the mind that lusts after POWER. Money brings power and more power brings more money. These kings give ALL their strength to The Beast believing in their tainted minds and soulless beings that they will become ONE with The Beast. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. (Revelation 17:17) BUT GOD . . . chooses their delusions, and God shall send them STRONG delusions . . . think NOT that GOD cannot overcome His enemies with their very own swords of lies and propaganda that those who create delusions become enamored by their own delusions. The best example of this twist of believing one’s own propaganda are those who exist in the sphere of stage craft, there is no one as gullible as an actor or actress who take on personalities created by writers of cunning delusions and evil imaginations. News readers, politicians and those of religious craftiness understand the true nature of their roles. Fame, wealth, control and power are their main motives, they are not motivated by delusion. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; (2nd Peter 2:12) But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. (Jude 1:10)

● I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose [that] in which I delighted not. (Isaiah 66:4)
● And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2nd Thessalonians 2:11)

Owning the world can never be enough for those whose GREED and LUST can never be satisfied. But these ten kings will be among those who will be annihilated at the hand of The Beast, for he will never allow the possibility of any form of competition in the sphere of finances, politics, or religion. Consider the first attempted coup in the universe of the SEEN and UNSEEN through the anointed cherub known as Lucifer, son of the morning. The first spiritual coup ended badly, the last and final universal coup will end in such a way that the God of glory will create a NEW EARTH and NEW HEAVENS where dwelleth righteousness.

● For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. (Isaiah 65:17)
● For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain. (Isaiah 66:22)
● Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2nd Peter 3:13)

What is the connection between Solomon and the number of six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold; (2nd Chronicles 9:13) and the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six. (Revelation 13:18)? But Solomon built him an house . . . but the man of sin, The Beast, builds nothing on his own strength or power. This Beast will be given strength, and power and all the wealth of the world from the ten kings, in this we understand that The Beast KNOWS only one thing to build on and that is LIES. Serving self will be (or may be, it is now) his primary objective paid by others. The Beast, will acquire power, money and fame through the corruption of flatteries and lies. Acquiring power requires money, and money requires those of wealth to have the same mind and goals as the one in need of money. Their combined objective is to STEAL ALL the wealth from ALL the world with the approval of ALL the world. The Beast has also been given another name by GOD, he is called by a proper noun Wicked. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming. (2nd Thessalonians 2:8) Since this Wicked man called The Beast will not build a continuing house neither will he build an ever lasting inheritance, nor will he leave a perpetual memorial to honor man’s greatness, (compare Fanfare for the Common Man by the American composer Aaron Copland that was written to acknowledge and to memorialize that there is nothing common within the working man), but The Beast will leave one thing that is destined to remain for ever and ever and that is his everlasting, continuing and perpetual torment in the flames of judgment. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:10)

The Bible reveals the end of The Beast, the Wicked, AND it also reveals God and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ and His Spirit of Truth; AND the Bible also reveals the heart of God for His creatures.

● Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? (Ezekiel 33:11)
● Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? (Ezekiel 18:23)
● I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; (1st Timothy 2:1)
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. (1st Timothy 2:2)
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; (1st Timothy 2:3)
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (1st Timothy 2:4)
● The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2nd Peter 3:9)

THE LAST MENTION OF SOLOMON IN SCRIPTURE
But Solomon built him an house

Ten times (ten the number of God’s perfect order) Solomon is mentioned in the New Testament. The last time that we read of Solomon is in Acts 7:47 at the last gospel message to the Jews by Stephen. From Acts Chapter 8 and onward the gospel message was sent out to the Gentiles. God’s gospel order was to the Jew first, then also to the Gentile.

● For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)
● Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; (Romans 2:9)
But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: (Romans 2:10)

What does the Holy Spirit of God want the reader to remember about this man, this earthly king, called Solomon? From the 306 mentions, let us look at the last mention of Solomon in Acts 7:47. But Solomon built him an house. But Solomon built him an house. It does NOT say, But Solomon built him a temple. Although Solomon did build a temple for God (1st Chronicles 6:10). There is an immense difference between house and temple, and there is also a difference between the phrase house of God and the house of the LORD. But for now, let us stay grounded on Acts 7:47 and why the Holy Spirit wrote But Solomon built him an house and DID NOT WRITE, But Solomon built him an temple. Again, the address number location speaks loudly, the number four (the world) is surrounded by the Divine Perfection of God in all of His attributes. The Law of First Mention strikes again through the word house, from the first mention to the last mention. Although the word house takes a few turns, the very first mention lays out the spiritual and natural definition. The word houserefers to the FAMILY of Noah. In Genesis 24:27, the word house also includes extended family or clan members. In the last mention in 2nd John 1:10, the word house takes on a broader meaning, receive him not into [your] house can also be defined as those belonging to a fellowship based on the doctrinal tree of the FAITHFUL.

● And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. (Genesis 7:1)
● And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I [being] in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren. (Genesis 24:27)
● If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into [your] house, neither bid him God speed: (2nd John 1:10)

The Holy Spirit of God who is the Master Wordsmith, is very picky when it comes to words in Scripture. We have written about king Solomon compared to the TRUE GREATER KING of Israel, the Lord Jesus Christ, now through the last mention of Solomon, the Holy Spirit of God adds to HIS GREATNESS through Acts Chapter 7. Again, the number structure is added to the message within the 7th Chapter. Number seven is the number of God in His divine perfection of completeness, for in this 7th Chapter of the book of Acts God completes His gospel call to the Jews, and from the 8th Chapter onward His gospel call goes out to the Gentiles. Chapter seven of the book of Acts is a monumental Chapter in God’s redemption plan.
The phrase the God of glory is documented only twice in Scripture, once in the Old Testament in Psalm 29:3 and once in the New Testament in Acts 7:2.

1. The voice of the LORD [is] upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD [is] upon many waters. (Psalm 29:3)
2. And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran, (Acts 7:2)

SIDE NOTE: In Psalm 29 the word LORD is mentioned in TEN verses for a total of eighteen times. But one thing stands out, the word LORD is DOUBLED eight times, eight being the number of a new beginning and resurrection. The phrase the voice of the Lord is recorded in Psalm 29 more than any other place in Scripture for a total of SEVEN times. I would say that this is not accidental, nor is it trivia. Here are the basic numbers planted and concreted in Psalm 29: TEN, EIGHTEEN, EIGHT and SEVEN. Read Psalm 29. The very first mention of THE GOD OF GLORY in Scripture is flooded with HIS spiritual essence of glory. Follow the numbered brick road of glory to THE GOD OF GLORY; SEVEN (7) God’s Spiritual Perfection; EIGHT (8) Overflowing Abundance and Fulfillment in a new Beginning, and Resurrection, and TEN (10) God’s perfect Divine Order. Every verse reveals a glorious aspect of our LORD GOD.
As you read consider that the first mention of LORD in Psalm 29 is the GODHEAD. The second mention of LORD presents the GODHEAD BODILY (Christ); the spiritual realm comes before the natural realm.
Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. (Psalm 29:1)
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. (Psalm 29:2)
The voice of the LORD [is] upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD [is] upon many waters. (Psalm 29:3)
The voice of the LORD [is] powerful; the voice of the LORD [is] full of majesty. (Psalm 29:4)
The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. (Psalm 29:5)
He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. (Psalm 29:6)
The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. (Psalm 29:7)
The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. (Psalm 29:8) (Kadesh means ‘apartness,’ (set apart for a purpose), a Sanctuary, a place in the desert, a sacred place.)
The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of [his] glory. (Psalm 29:9)
The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever. (Psalm 29:10)
The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11)
◆ End of Side Note on Psalm 29.

In the first mention of the God of glory He reveals His essence, His attributes, His supernal position as KING for ever, His holy beauties, His power, His majesty, His judgments of fire, His peace and His people (Israel).
In the gospel of Matthew, the Lord Jesus Christ said, Learn of me. He never said, Learn of the church, nor did He ever say, Learn more about yourself. Consider knowledge of the holy to be a good thing. It is one thing to have knowledge and it is totally a different thing to have knowledge of the holy, the knowledge of God, the knowledge of truth and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy [is] understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)
Now let us move on to the second and last mention of The God of glory in the New Testament in the 7th Chapter of Acts.  And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran, (Acts 7:2) This seventh Chapter begins with The God of glory and it ends with the Jews stoning Stephen. They had no trouble listening to the words and acts of The God of glory, but when Stephen spoke of the glory of God and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, that was more than their rebellious pride and hatred could endure, and murder became their only means to stop those words of truth. Whenever truth stops, violence follows. Whenever truth can no longer be tolerated, violence is promoted and encouraged.

When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. (Acts 7:54)
But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, (Acts 7:55)
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. (Acts 7:56)
Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, (Acts 7:57)
And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul. (Acts 7:58)
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. (Acts 7:59)
And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. (Acts 7:60)

After centuries and centuries of acts of murder against followers of Christ, not only the Jews murder, but every heart that refuses to acknowledge the truth and knowledge of the holy have murder in the minds and hearts. At this exact moment in the history of time, there are those who hate Christ so deeply and so intensely that their only solution to justify their hatred is to murder those who speak words of truth, for instance, the mindless murder of Charlie Kirk, the murder of thousands of thousands of individuals who claim to be of Christ. Today, scores of murders are defended as being righteous and good, from the murders of C.E.O.’s to the murders of babies and children for convenience sake, murder is NOW not only accepted, but promoted and encouraged. From unborn babies to born babies, to the elderly, murder is praised as socially justifiable. Convince me that we are not in the AGE OF THE CELEBRATION OF INSANITY. Satan’s agenda is right on schedule. Satan’s timetable in preparation for the Age of The Beast is quickly advancing. What is the agenda? Satan’s agenda is to advance man through ignorance, stupidity, division, hatred, lack of knowledge, and especially lack of knowledge of the holy. Do not panic, we are studying Solomon, and the last mention of Solomon is in Acts 7:47, But Solomon built him an house.

Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, (Acts 7:48)
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? (Acts 7:49)
Hath not my hand made all these things? (Acts 7:50)

What a perfect address number structure to place Solomon into its framework. Four, the number of the world, surrounded by the number seven, God is His Divine Perfection BEFORE the world, and AFTER the world. Verse 7:49, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? Again, allow me to state, Solomon did build The God of Glory a house. A place where His glory could be seen. And again, notice that it is in Chapter seven.

Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. (2nd Chronicles 7:1)
And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’S house. (2nd Chronicles 7:2)
And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. (2nd Chronicles 7:3)

Here is another ONLY, Chapter SEVEN (7) is the ONLY place in Scripture where the phrase the glory of the LORD is found THREE times. Another coincidence, another accident, another slip of the reed pen, I think NOT. The number THREE and the number SEVEN coupled together in 2nd Chronicles deliberately presents God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit as the triune GODHEAD is His Divine Perfection in Completeness.
Through the documentation of the name of Solomon who have seen that which points to the GREATER KING, now through the last mention of Solomon we see that the house that he built points to a GREATER HOUSE and A GREATER BUILDER. Hath not my hand made all these things? (Acts 7:50) Everything in the natural realm, the realm of the SEEN, and everything in the spiritual realm, the realm of the UNSEEN had/has ONE BUILDER and ONE MAKER.

● For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. (Hebrews 11:10)
● For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. (Hebrews 3:4)

Therefore, through Solomon we see the GLORIOUS ETERNAL KING, and through the last mention of Solomon we see the GODHEAD bodily building HIS house on earth and HIS HOUSE and HIS CITY in the heavenlies. Through the determinate counsels of the GODHEAD, HE (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) has BUILT ALL THINGS, and His building continues as He prepares His FAITHFUL to be able to flourish in a NEW EARTH and NEW HEAVENS.
Now in Gihon, the second river, Solomon is the third king of the nation united as Israel is revealed not only as the breaking point and the breaching of a nation as in 1st Kings Chapter 11, but through the 11th Chapter there is spiritual meaning.

(1st Kings 11:13)

. . . . but Solomon is also revealed as the fountain of God’s mercy in 1st Chronicles Chapter 17, and in the 7th Chapter of 2nd Samuel. Notice another ONLY, the word mercy is documented ONLY once in Chapter 17 in 1st Chronicles as it relates to Solomon, and ONLY once in the 7th Chapter of 2nd Samuel as it relates to Solomon.

● And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. (1st Chronicles 17:11)
He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. (1st Chronicles 17:12)
✔ I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: (1st Chronicles 17:13)
But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore. (1st Chronicles 17:14)
● And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. (2nd Samuel 7:12)
He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. (2nd Samuel 7:13)
I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: (2nd Samuel 7:14)
✔ But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. (2nd Samuel 7:15)
And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. (2nd Samuel 7:16)

But Solomon built him an house. Howbeit, the most High, the Lord of glory, the God of glory, the King of glory has made ALL things. As Solomon built him an house, the most High has built those of FAITH a greater house. The GREATER THAN SOLOMON has built a GREATER house not made with hands.

● Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, (Acts 7:48)
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? (Acts 7:49)
Hath not my hand made all these things? (Acts 7:50)
● In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2)
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:3)
● For every house is builded by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God. (Hebrews 3:4)
And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; (Hebrews 3:5)
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (Hebrews 3:6)

In this second river Gihon, God presents two different courses: the breach that leads to death, and the course of mercy and grace that leads to the fountain of life. The river has been set; its channel has been cut to form two channels . . . choose wisely the course of life.

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; (Deuteronomy 30:15)

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (Deuteronomy 30:19)

WHY WILL YE DIE?
