Men of Renown
Part xxxv
~
The Woman Arrayed in Purple
Part 4
~
Mystery, Babylon The Great The Woman
CONTINUES
in the Third and Last Woman in the book of the Revelation
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. (Genesis 6:4) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5)
This series called Men of Renown will begin with these verses in Chapter 6 of the book of Genesis because it is the perfect scene setter for whatever and whoever follows that enables men of renown to act in conflict against God and His Word. Verses 4 and 5 are an accurate definition of men of renown.
If you are new to this series, then I suggest that you do not begin with this article. CLICK HERE and you will be safely redirected to the first article dealing with the word purple. Spiritual Mentality Warning: this article may be risky for those who believe that the Bible was not written by God the Holy Spirit, and that the scriptures are boring, and meaningless. You have been forewarned.
The game plan is to cover all SIX mentions of a woman, and the woman in Revelation Chapter 17 of Revelation.
1. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. (Revelation 17:3)
2. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: (Revelation 17:4)
3. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. (Revelation 17:6)
4. And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. (Revelation 17:7)
5. And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. (Revelation 17:9)
6. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (Revelation 17:18)

Woman was Arrayed in Purple and Scarlet
The word purple plays a role in the Bible through its meaning, its symbolism, and its placement. Every word is right exactly where it needs to be. There is no such thing as coincidence, error, accident, superfluousness or redundancy in the Bible, and following one word, the word purple as it relates to the woman was arrayed in purple is a prime example of the UNSEEN power of the Author of Scripture, the Holy Spirit of God.

What You Missed in Previous Articles about the word purple.
The first three previous articles (xxxv – Part 1, xxxv – Part 2, and xxxv -Part 3) were all about the word purple in the Old Testament. Com ‘on now . . . stop smirking . . . that’s NOT boring!
We followed the word purple from its first mention in the book of Exodus regarding the sanctuary of God in the Tabernacle in the wilderness, to the book of Numbers with the cloth of purple that covered the ashes from the brazen altar, to the purple in the book of Judges when Gideon brought sin into his people, to the purple in the first Temple in Jerusalem built by king Solomon as we followed the man from the tribe of Dan called Hiram/Huram who was assigned by king Solomon to lead in constructing the things of God within this first Temple through the book of 2nd Chronicles. Then we tracked the word purple in the book of Esther and this word again is seen through two prisms: Godward and manward (and man being led by His father, the devil) In the book of Proverbs, two women exemplify these two views of purple: Satan’s adulterous woman, and the godly woman. However, in the Song of Songs, because it is the book of God’s LOVES, purple is only seen through the eyes of God, then in the book of Jeremiah the trail of purple centers on unrepentant man, and the nations under the cunning and devious evil works of mankind. The last book of the Old Testament that deals with the word purple (Ezekiel) is the counterpoint to how the word purple is first seen in the Bible in the book of Exodus in the Sanctuary of God in the Tabernacle in the wilderness. This study of purple in the Old Testament is fascinating in how the Spirit of God has led us to spiritually digest how the spiritual WAR in heaven was framed in the tangible, the SEEN, WAR on earth, and how the purple relates to the spiritual battle on earth in the UNSEEN.
And now we are on the trail to discover more about our Lord God, our Creator God in the word purple through the New Testament. For that stubborn reader, who refused my offer to read previous articles, allow me to summarize what the color purple spiritually means. Purple is the color that represents the Godhead in all His majesticness, His royalty (Kingship), His preeminence in all things, and His Sovereignty. (And you think that this color now represents all manners of perversion . . . the color purple was stolen from God, as was the symbol of the rainbow also stolen from Him; the symbol of His Kingship over the earth and the symbol of His judgment and mercy has been stolen.) There is no such thing as coincidence in our material realm, for all is based first on the spiritual and unseen world. And that was another thing that you missed out on in previous articles.
There are FIVE books in the New Testament that has the word purple: Mark, Luke, John, Acts, and the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. We are going to walk through each book and much more looking at this one little word.

Introduction
Only two gospels refer to the purple in relationship with the Lord’s trial before His crucifixion: Mark and John. Mark is the gospel of the perfect Servant (the ox), and the gospel of John is the gospel of the Word, the Son of God (the eagle). Now is a good time to see how the Holy Spirit of God deliberately selects certain words to reinforce a particular UNSEEN concept into His written word. Many times, readers do not see the deliberate differences, or they assume that there must be an error in God’s word. Since the Living Word of God is infallible and perfect, so too is His written word. There is no such thing as coincidence or mistake in His words breathed by the Spirit of God. Whenever you come across anything that appears to be contradictory in the Bible, ask this question, Why is there a difference in words or phrases, and what is the difference between the placement of these words or phrases, and is this difference not a difference at all but added information? The word purple in the gospels of Mark and John is a point that is easily overlooked. Consider this: the gospel of Matthew, (the gospel of the King, and the gospel of the kingdom) Chapter 27, verses 26 -31 has the 4th trial court scene with Pilate releasing the murderer Barabbas and, in his place, the sinless Son of man (the perfect Son of God, the King of the Jews) is stripped of His robes and they put on him a scarlet robe. This comes as a surprise, as you would think that since the gospel of Matthew is the gospel of the King that the robe that the soldiers placed on Him would be PURPLE, NOT SCARLET.
Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. (Matthew 27:26)
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. (Matthew 27:27)
And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. (Matthew 27:28)
And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! (Matthew 27:29)
And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. (Matthew 27:30)
And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. (Matthew 27:31)
When Pilate’s Roman guards stripped Christ of His own garments and placed a scarlet robe on Him, they were unknowingly symbolically draping Him with the SIN of man, and at the same time, they were prophetically fulfilling His role as Savior for that is exactly what the word scarlet symbolizes.
And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. The first mention of scarlet is recorded in the gospel of Matthew, the gospel of the King and the gospel of the kingdom. If you have been following this series then you are aware that the word scarlet refers to the sin of mankind, and to the One who through His blood took on Himself the sin of the world; thus, scarlet is tied to SIN and to the SAVIOR.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18)

Christ was Clothed with Purple
And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, (Mark 15:17)
And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him. (Mark 15:20)
Christ was taken to four (4) courts. The first court appearance was before the high priest and his cohorts. The second court appearance was before Pilate, then Pilate sent Christ to be judged by Herod, which was the third court appearance, and then Herod sent Christ back to Pilate, this was the last and fourth court appearance. CLICK HERE to read more about these four court appearances. For those who may be newcomers to this site the number four (4) is the number of the Earth.
The Written Transcript of the Fourth Court Proceedings Kept
by the Court Reporter, the Holy Spirit of God
• And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified. (Mark 15:15)
• And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, (Mark 15:17)
• And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews! (Mark 15:18)
• And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him. (Mark 15:19)
• And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him. (Mark 15:20)
There is no doubt that this is the 4th court appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ after Herod (the third court appearance) sent the Lord Jesus Christ BACK to Pilate to be adjudicated. This is exactly the very same description of the 4th court appearance as in the gospel of Matthew, BUT there is a huge difference. Compare Matthew 27:28 with Mark 15:17 and compare Matthew 27:31 with Mark 15:20. This is NOT an ERROR by the heavenly COURT REPORTER. Let us proceed and allow Him to lead the way.
Point #1
The gospel of Matthew is the only gospel with the word scarlet, and purple is NEVER mentioned in the gospel of the King . . . so strange! WHY?
The FIRST gospel opens the New Testament to mankind to see and to understand His need for a Savior; therefore, the ONLY time that scarlet is recorded is in the gospel of Matthew is in Matthew 27:28 And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. Since the word scarlet refers to the sin of mankind, and to the One who through His blood took on Himself the sin of the whole world it was necessary that the Holy Spirit of God, the Court Reporter, would document this SINGLE and ONLY event when the SIN of man was LAID on the Man who was without SIN; when the JUST suffered for the UNJUST; when SIN met the Savior and when the SCARLET of sinful man met the SCARLET salvation of the Savior. The greatest issue that God had and has against man had to be introduced to man in the FIRST book of the New Testament, through the FIRST GOSPEL to man. Man is a sinner and man has a Savior from sin. Therefore, it is evident that the gospel of Matthew, although it is the gospel of the King, HAD to present to ALL (not only to Israel) BUT to ALL that the King of Israel was also the Savior of mankind and the King of all the earth.
For the LORD most high [is] terrible; [he is] a great King over all the earth. (Psalm 47:2) For God [is] the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. (Psalm 47:7) For God [is] my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. (Psalm 74:12) And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. (Zechariah 14:9)
Point #2Â
The gospels of Mark, Luke and John NEVER mentions the word scarlet, BUT purple is documented twice in Mark, once in Luke and twice in John. Curiously . . . and more curiously. WHY? Let’s remove the gospel of Luke from this discussion because the verse in Luke is NOT about the Lord Jesus Christ but it is about a certain rich man soon to face the end of his life on earth for another life, and eternal life not of his liking. So, removing Luke from our article, we will be discussing only the gospel of Mark and the gospel of John.
Now back to And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, (Mark 15:17) We are not through with our comparative study, we will be comparing Matthew 27:27 and 28 with Mark 15:16 and 17. Well. . . . before we turn back to Mark 15:17, I know, I know, it’s not easy sometimes to follow along, but nevertheless . . . let’s turn back to Matthew 27:27 before we turn back to Mark 15:17. (I am smiling southern.) 🙂
Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. (Matthew 27:27) And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. (Matthew 27:28)
The Spirit of God is making a distinct statement and the word scarlet is deliberately used to convey that distinctness of the sin of man. IT IS THE SIN OF MANKIND that the Holy Spirit of God wants us to focus on, NOT the KINGSHIP of the Lord Jesus Christ. The first time that the word common is recorded in the New Testament is in this verse of Matthew 27:27. And what does God spiritually call the common hall. It is what is COMMON in ALL of mankind: sin.
The word common is mentioned in eight (8) verses in the Old Testament and remember how the Law of First Mention lays the platform so that any word in scripture can be validated through the first mention to the last mention. And the word common is another example of the credibility of its connection to SIN. The first time that the word common is recorded is in Leviticus 4:27, And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth [somewhat against] any of the commandments of the LORD [concerning things] which ought not to be done, and be guilty. Man (common man) every person is guilty of sin whether in ignorance or not, mankind is nevertheless still guilty of SIN. In Leviticus, the first mention of the word common we have ‘SIN’ and ‘GUILTY.’ This lays the platform for the word common throughout the scriptures. Then in Ecclesiastes 6:1 we read, There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it [is] common among men. As you read further into Chapter 6 (6 the number of man) it is vanity that man is consumed with, and it also coincidentally is the sin that led to the fall of Lucifer. We are still not through with the word common, for in the New Testament, this word is recorded thirteen (13) times. Oh me . . . oh my, another coincidence! The first mention is, (let me guess!!) in our study verse of Matthew 27:27, of course! It’s about SIN. Then as we follow the word common, we see some interesting twists and turns. Now, watch and learn how the Holy Spirit of God takes the word common from SIN to CLEANSING to FAITH and to SALVATION, and then tell me that men alone (without the Holy Spirit of God breathing the exact words to them) wrote the Bible.Â
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. (Acts 10:14) And the voice [spake] unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, [that] call not thou common. (Acts 10:15)
To Titus, [mine] own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. (Titus 1:4)
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. (Jude 1:3)

The Battle of Governmental Sovereignty
versus
The Sovereignty of God
Now, and I mean it this time. NOW we are returning to Mark 15:16 and 17, And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band. (Mark 15:16) And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, (Mark 15:17) Here it is NOT called common, although it is a common hall, but the Spirit of God used the LATIN word bringing in the authority of man’s government . . . the hall, called Praetorium. Oh . . . Oh . . . this is serious stuff; man’s government doesn’t play around. Government under sinful man is a sinful government. There has NEVER been a government on earth that has NOT been sinful, even the best of all government’s (and I am thinking of government under David) was not squeaky-clean. A few years past, a former so-called President (the 44th) said this of his administration, “not even a smidgen of corruption.” He was correct. That administration wasn’t concerned with smidgens of corruption, they were more interested in barrels, and loads, and bushels and boatloads of corruption. The most corrupt and evil group of ghouls had never before ever been forced on the people of the United States. And this same group of ghoulies, faeries and demons are now behind the green curtain pulling the levers of government. Now let me tell you what I really think about government controlled by corrupt men of renown.
What Christ stood before was government . . . Praetorium . . . the most powerful government that ruled over the ‘known’ world through a time frame of over a thousand years . . . The Roman Empire. This Empire influenced scores of nations well after its power had diminished. And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band. (Mark 15:16) And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, (Mark 15:17) The Supreme Sovereign fearlessly stood facing the sovereign power (the whole band) over the world of mankind. He, who was not only Sovereign but Servant, allowed the creatures that He had created to cloth Him with the purple robe of royalty for He who was Lord of all was also Servant of all. (The second gospel, the book of Mark, is the gospel of the Servant.) There were many battles that He was engaged with even before His great battle of the cross of Calvary. In the 15th Chapter of the book of Mark we have the Battle of Sovereignty of the Earth with The Supreme Sovereign of Heaven and Earth. The placement of this scene in the Praetorium in the gospel of the Elect-Servant, the gospel of Mark, is quite fitting in the contrasts in the temporary power of mankind (the Praetorium) versus the eternal power of the Godhead bodily. Christ (in the gospel of Mark) is the Elect-Servant of God, the Lord Jesus Christ quoted Isaiah in His address in Matthew, Chapter 12, verses 18 – 21.
Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. (Isaiah 42:1) He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. (Isaiah 42:2) A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. (Isaiah 42:3) He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law. (Isaiah 42:4)
Christ, the bodily of the Godhead, the Son of God, the High Priest of the most high God, Melchisedec, the Creator of all things, thus, the Highest of all things in His highest position took on the lowest of all positions, the position of a servant, and Elect-Servant, SENT to serve for He who was LORD over ALL was Servant of all.
The True Sovereign of the SEEN and UNSEEN world faced off with the sovereign of man’s realm: the whole band of Romans soldiers were the SEEN forces led by the UNSEEN force of Satan. Just the phrase And the soldiers . . . and they call together the whole band allows us to understand that man’s government even through its military character acts against the SOVEREIGNTY of God. All governments are represented in Mark 15, for they mocked God as they mocked His Christ, the Lord Jesus. They did not know that they were not only being used by Satan, but God was also using them when they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head. As the Son of man and as the obedient righteous Elect-Servant of God, Christ faced hundreds of hardened Roman soldiers obedient to an unrighteous military system of a deeply corrupt Senate approved by an equally corrupt populace and wrapped with the earthly robe of royalty. He was obedient to the suffering and humiliation that His own creatures placed on Him. They crowned Him with the evidence of the curse of the earth, but God crowned Him with glory and honor. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. (Hebrews 2:9)

The Battle of Denial and Rejection
And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him. (Mark 15:20)
The second documentation of the word purple in the gospel of Mark discloses the heart and mind of those who have mocked Christ since His first Battle over Sovereignty. In the first court room scene of the Battle of Sovereignty placed the robe of royalty, the purple, on Christ with a crown of thorns. This action also symbolized religion (false Christianity) using and abusing the Christ in His position of royalty as a failure, wearing a crown of the curse of the world. It is one thing to take in the suffering and humiliation of Christ on the cross of Calvary, and it is another to keep Christ on the cross and not proclaim Him as the risen Victor sitting at the right hand of God. Politics would call this Redirecting the Focus. We have a RISEN SAVIOR, and He is the FOCUS of our hope and our eternal future . . . FOCUS ON THAT . . . because we are nearer today to finally see the fulfillment of our hope and to enter into another time frame: a frame without time.
The second documentation of the word purple was the Battle of Denial and Rejection. This is how mankind has mocked God, they take the purple from him by their words that Christ is NOT GOD, that He was merely a man, a descendant of Adam; this is taking the purple from him. This battle of taking the purple from him began at the beginning of the Church Age. Church councils argued over these issues: was Christ God AND man, or was Christ God OR man, or was Christ THE GodMan. We, Christians and non-Christians, are told to never delve into this mystery of the Godhead. We are told that Christ had both a human nature and a divine nature separate yet united. However, scripture clearly teaches that Christ DID NOT HAVE A HUMAN NATURE. There was nothing HUMAN about Christ. There was a Body prepared for Him, a Body that could experience pain and suffering, a Body that could empathize with His creatures, a Body that could feel hunger, that could know tiredness, and a Body that could suffer death. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me. (Hebrews 10:5)
First, He was SENT from heaven to earth. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. (John 6:38) And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. (John 6:39) His character was of the celestial realm NOT of the natural realm.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) The same was in the beginning with God. (John 1:2) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:3) In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John 1:4)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
Secondly, Christ was MADE in the LIKENESS of human flesh. Here again The Law of First Mention comes into play. Follow the words in the likeness and see where it leads us. The first mention of in the likeness is in Genesis 5:1, This [is] the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him. This verse says that man (Adam) was made in the likeness of God. It does NOT say that because Adam was created in the likeness of God Adam was then ‘like God.’ No Adam was not as God, nor like God, nor God; Adam was made in the likeness of God. Adam, mankind, was/is created a separate entity of a material tangible character and nature. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 1:27)
God SENT His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh . . . For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (Romans 8:3) Being made in the likeness of God did not make Adam God, so too Christ being in the likeness of sinful flesh did not make Christ flesh (man). But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:7) Christ was always separate FROM mankind in sin because there was no sin IN Him. The refusal to accept Christ as GOD, taking the purple from him is not understanding that GOD IS A SUPERNATURAL ENTITY, that HE IS SPIRIT, He is beyond our level of comprehension, and that is why HE WROTE A BOOK.
Thirdly, the conception of the Lord Jesus Christ was SUPERNATURAL. God had already planted into man’s history births that were supernatural, thus, preparing the way for mankind to begin to understand that the Great I AM, Jehovah God, had the power to create LIFE outside of man’s body as well as LIFE within man’s body, spiritually and physically. (Remember, Sarah [Genesis 17:17], and Elisabeth [Luke 1:18] these births were supernatural births.)
That is why Christ, before His birth was called that holy thing. A ‘thing,’ a ‘holy thing,’ and ‘THAT HOLY THING.’ How much clearer can the Holy Spirit of God call ‘a spiritual seed’ from the Creator of life,’ a spiritual Seed, placed SUPERNATURALLY into the womb of a maiden of the earth! The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. (Job 33:4) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)
Christ was NOT of her nature. Christ was NOT of her species. Christ was NOT of her flesh nor of her blood. This WAS A SUPERNATURAL ACT by a SUPERNATURAL GOD through a natural creature created by God, a woman of the earth. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:35) Before Mary gave birth, within her was THAT HOLY THING, after giving birth, the child was called that HOLY CHILD JESUS. (Acts 4:27, 30) THAT THING, was HOLY when it was conceived by the Holy Spirit of God because it was HOLY BEFORE conception. The Holy Spirit of God is the original wordsmith. He selects the perfect word for the perfect time in the perfect place to describe His perfect meaning.
Fourthly, a Righteous and Holy God GAVE HIMSELF for man, in the likeness of man, for the sin of man, to dwell among man, not to be man, but to reveal The GOD HEAD to man by the GODHEAD BODILY, The GODHEAD in BODILY form. (As the Father and the Spirit are One in GODHEAD). For verily he took not on [him the nature of] angels; but he took on [him] the seed of Abraham. (Hebrews 2:16) There is a distinctive difference between the nature of angels, and the nature of the children of wrath, and the spirit of man within man, and the seed of Abraham. Christ did not take on the nature of angels, nor did He take on the NATURE of Abraham, but he took on [him] the seed of Abraham. ONLY ONE time in the Bible is it documented he took on [him]. It does not read, ‘that He became,’ but he took on [him]. He TOOK, He SELECTED, He CHOSE, He SINGLED OUT, He TOOK ON HIM. The Holy Spirit of God is the original wordsmith. He selects the perfect word for the perfect time in the perfect place to describe His perfect meaning. And in Hebrews 2:16 it was he took on [him] the seed of Abraham; the Spirit of God did not select the word ‘became’ as in Acts 10:10 he became very hungry, or 2nd Corinthians 8:9, he became poor, or as in Hebrews 5:9, he became the author of eternal salvation.
He took on [him] the seed of Abraham, NOT the nature of Abraham. BIG DIFFERENCE.
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. (Galatians 3:16)
Wherefore then [serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. (Galatians 3:19)
And if ye [be] Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:29)
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (1ts John 3:9)
Fifthly, this Man, who came from heaven, was A NEW MAN SENT from heaven so that man (Adam) who had originally been made in the image of God before sin, could become a new man, a new race of man, a spiritual new race of man to be capable of identifying with God. As Christ was the NEW MAN, He brought the spiritual new man born by God to God. First, there had to be a spiritual new birth, not a tangible rebirth, nor a birth of reformation, but a total and immediate newborn child of God; then would come a new spiritual body to be conformed to the image of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
The New Man
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, [even] the law of commandments [contained] in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, [so] making peace;Â (Ephesians 2:15)
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:24)
And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:Â (Colossians 3:10)
The Old Man
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. (Romans 6:6)
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;Â (Ephesians 4:22)
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;Â (Colossians 3:9)
New Life – New Spirit
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4)
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not [in] the oldness of the letter. (Romans 7:6)
The Redeemed Body – The Spiritual Body – The Glorious Body
And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness. (Romans 8:10)
And not only [they], but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, [to wit], the redemption of our body. (Romans 8:23)
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (1st Corinthians 15:44)
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (Philippians 3:21)
The Image of the Heavenly
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1st John 3:2)
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. (1st Corinthians 15:49)
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:29)
This is part of the Battle of Denial. The Church has denied their God, the Lord Jesus Christ. How has the Church denied their God? They have made the Lord Jesus Christ who is GOD into a ‘buddy system salvation.’ He is called, a friend, a brother, that is part of His work as the High Priest of God, BUT HE HAS NEVER CEASED to be GOD. The Church has denied His Majesticness, His Sovereignty, and His right to be HONORED and REVERENCED. Israel denied Jehovah, and then they denied and rejected their Messiah. The Church denied God when they denied and rejected His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and then they further denied Him when they usurped the works of the Holy Spirit of God. This Battle of Denial is a continual battle played out in every earthly religious and nonreligious forum. There are those who refuse Christ completely as God. Then there are those who place Christ as God in a limited time frame, saying that He only became God at a certain time in His manhood. Christ was THAT HOLY THING BEFORE the womb, then into the tomb, and then into the heavens. He never stopped being THAT HOLY THING because He WAS/IS GOD. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.(1st Timothy 3:16) Therefore, since GOD was manifest in the flesh as His Son Jesus Christ, He was also received up into glory as the MAN in heaven for us. (Before the cross we did not have a glorified Man in heaven for us. He was always the Son of the Father in heaven, but now the manifested Man (Jesus Christ) is glorified in heaven for us, and shares with us His love, His eternal life, and His eternal glory.) And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven. (John 3:13) [What] and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? (John 6:62)
In the 20th verse of Mark Chapter 15, there is a phrase that many glibly glide over, it is and put his own clothes on him. Do you see how not only they, but we also throughout the ages have taken off the purple from him and we have put his own clothes on him desperately attempting to remove Him from the Godhead to make Him as just one of us. Just another man, maybe ‘a good man’ but nevertheless, man. Sinful man cannot bear to accept that an invisible God would purposively prepare a special Body to move and dwell among His creatures in order to save them from their sin and destruction, even to the point where He would give His life for those who hated His life. The adversary of God, Satan, has attacked Christ from every possible angle, and taking the purple from him and making Christ a mere man with the foibles of mankind brings Him down to any level that man desires to prove himself as the better of God.

What Awaits Those Who Believe That They Are Gods
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:Â (Luke 16:19)
This is the third time in the New Testament that the word purple is documented, and it just happens to be in the gospel of Luke. This gospel is often considered to be the gospel of the Son of man where heaven is presented to man. And in Luke 16 we have exactly this: heaven is presented to man as a spiritual supernatural reality. This Chapter is often treated as a parable, but the Holy Spirit of God dismisses this by placing a particular word THREE times into this Chapter to show us that an actual event: the word is certain: a particular, or a specific, or an exact, or a fixed FACT. The Spirit of God NEVER gives this certain rich man a name, because this certain rich man represents ALL rich men. However, the certain beggar was named, Lazarus.
And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.(Luke 16:1)
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:Â (Luke 16:19) And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, (Luke 16:20)
Now as an ole’ dog with a bone, allow me to chew a bit more on a point to counter those who say that Luke 16 is merely a parable. Follow through scripture the word certain: READY, SET, GO: a certain [man] was sick, [named] Lazarus (John 11:1); a certain man named Ananias (Acts 5:1), a certain man, called Simon (Acts 8:9) and a certain man named Aeneas (Acts 9:33). Give up yet? Because there are four more examples: Acts 10:1; 18:8; 19:24 and 25:14. This is like shooting fish in a barrel! So, Luke Chapter 16 is NOT a parable.
Chapter 16 is much more than what occurred with this certain rich man during his life of being clothed in purple and fine linen, and faring sumptuously every day. This Chapter reveals an AFTERLIFE existence where there is no purgatory, nor a period of existence where the soul can choose its destiny, or where the soul waits so that the prayers of others will open life eternity as a realm of pleasures. What determines the AFTERLIFE existence of every person? It is the choices that are made in the DURINGLIFE existence. This very day, there are those who are willing to gamble their AFTERLIFE existence on the words of their religious leaders, or by the words of their friends, or by the own superstitions and the imaginations of their own evil hearts. BUT one thing that most people gamble on is this: the Bible, the word of God MUST be wrong because it is contrary to man’s belief systems.
Think of everyone you know, or you have heard of who are clothed in purple and fine linen, and who fare sumptuously every day, they seem to have the best that life has, and they do not appear to be concerned with their AFTERLIFE existence. But, you see, they do care because (1) they believe that they will live forever; (2) they have paid for many good things to happen for their family and for others; (3) the money that they leave behind will do them good IF there is an AFTERLIFE; and (4) IF there is NO AFTERLIFE that means that they will never be held accountable for all their evil thoughts and murderous actions, or (5) their religion alone is enough to ensure that they will continue to be clothed in purple and fine linen. The biggest gamble of any life is to gamble that there is NO GOD, or that IF there is a God then He has poor eyesight, or His hearing aids need batteries.
The 16th Chapter of the gospel of Luke tells us all we need to know about the individuals in our age who are wealthy beyond our understanding. They are clothed in purple and fine linen, they truly believe that there are gods, far above all others because money and power are what determines a person’s right to live. This is where we are today! Those who believe that they are consequential to the globe believe that all others (you and me) are insignificant, we do not need to live except to serve them. Why do you think that I deliberately do not name names? Because they are not IMPORTANT, when one of these self-made gods dies, they will only be replaced with another self-made god. Their names as the name of the certain rich man is NOT IMPORTANT because the name of the certain rich man in Luke 16 was not important. Yes, God knows their names, but their names along with their bodies and souls will be cast into everlasting hell. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)

The Court Reporter Describes the 4th Court Scene
with the Verdict of NOT GUILTY
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put [it] on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, (John 19:2)
Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And [Pilate] saith unto them, Behold the man! (John 19:5)
The last gospel, the gospel of John, has the word purple documented twice, and both are in the 19th Chapter. (Number nineteen [19] is God’s perfect order [10] connected to judgment [9].) The first mention in verse 2 clearly reveals the adversaries as soldiers, Roman soldiers, warriors sworn to serve a tyrannical government. Those who serve the enemies of God are soldiers of the UNSEEN tyrannical realm, The first thing that should be noticed is the crown of thorns, that is God’s correct order, the curse on the earth was the reason why God SENT His Son, the royal Prince of life (Acts 3:15), and Prince and Savior (Acts 5:31) covered with the purple robe as Sovereign and Ruler over heaven and earth.
Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. (John 19:1)
And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, (John 19:2)
And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands. (John 19:3)
Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in him. (John 19:4)
Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! (John 19:5)
When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. (John 19:6)
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. (John 19:7)
When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he was the more afraid;Â (John 19:8)Â
And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer. (John 19:9)
Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? (John 19:10)
Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin. (John 19:11)
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar. (John 19:12)
When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. (John 19:13)
And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! (John 19:14)
But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. (John 19:15)
This was the world of justice ignored, the world of truth refused, the world where expediency is the goal, and the world where fear rules . . . this also describes our world today. Pilate feared for his position, and the chief priests (the religionists) feared for their positions knowing that the Man wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe was the Son of God, yet they chose to fight against God . . . he made himself the Son of God.
Thousands of years after this court room scene when the chief priests of the Jews arranged to condemn an innocent Man, they still to this second refuse to admit to their travesty. They continue to lie to themselves and to their nation that although the Governor had declared Jesus INNOCENT of their charges, they adamantly prevented His release, BUT chose instead a murderer to be set free. To this day, the Jewish religious leaders are working to form laws to make it a crime to even mention the name of Jesus. Yes, they STILL FEAR His name, even today. Yes, they feared then for their powerful positions, and they still FEAR today that even the mention of His name, Jesus, will draw people to question, to search and to be led to the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. The same fear that these reprobate religious individuals cower with is the same fear expressed thousands of years past as documented in John 11:48, If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. This is the difference between religion and Christianity. Religion is ALL about CONTROL, POWER and MONEY. Religion is ALL about PLACE and STANDING. What in the world would religionists do if their robes of purple were removed from them? They would probably have to work for a living! Oh me, Oh my, what would they do if they could no longer rule over the SOULS of mankind? The robes of purple and sovereignty are more important to the religionist than truth and obedience to God. In fact, the truth of God does not concern them, it has always been and will always be their own place and standing in the hearts and minds of their skinned flock . . . and they love to have it so.
Twice, the Holy Spirit of God, discloses that Pilate KNEW that the chief priests ENVIED the Lord Jesus Christ, For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. (Matthew 27:18) For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy. (Matthew 15:10) The spiritual things that occur in the natural material world, FIRST began in the UNSEEN supernatural realm of God. It was through ENVY of the High Priest of God, Melchisedec, in the heavenlies that Lucifer sought to remove and to replace Melchisedec from His position as High Priest of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth. BUT the GODHEAD then and now cannot be divided. Lucifer was consumed with envy and his vanity and pride lusted (craved) after what could never be his because he had forgotten that he was merely a created angel not the Creator of angels.
For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one. (Job 5:2) A sound heart [is] the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones. (Proverbs 14:30) Wrath [is] cruel, and anger [is] outrageous; but who [is] able to stand before envy? (Proverbs 27:4)
Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? (James 4:5)

Behold the Man
Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man! (John 19:5)
What is the connection of the crown of thorns, and the purple robe and Behold the man!?The paramount difference is in the words, Behold the man! Six (6) times these words are documented in Scripture, five (5) times it is found in the Old Testament, and only ONCE in the New Testament. Also, the Law of First Mention comes into play through all six mentions: (Genesis 3:22; Judges 13:10; 1st Samuel 9:17; Ezekiel 9:11; Zechariah 6:12 and the gospel of John 19:5)
1 Behold, the man. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: (Genesis 3:22) This is the man, (Adam) the father of mankind, who sinned in disobedience to God and to the Law of Sin and Death, and because of his rebellion was separated from everlasting life. God the Holy Spirit desires that ALL of mankind should Behold, the man, and see in him why all mankind dies; Behold, the man, and see what mankind truly is a rebel draped with the skins of death.
2 Behold, the man. And the woman made haste, and ran, and shewed her husband, and said unto him, Behold, the man hath appeared unto me, that came unto me the [other] day. (Judges 13:10) This was the angel of the LORD also called the angel of God who said that His name was secret. Behold, the man . . . without a name, with the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible, and revealing His power to supernaturally bring for a man of the earth to serve His purposes.
3 Behold, the man. And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people. (1st Samuel 9:17) This was the man chosen by God to fulfill the wishes of a rebellious nation desiring a king of the earth to lead them instead of their Lord God, King of Israel. Behold, the man is the one chosen by man to serve man while he enslaves man. This is what mankind desires, a man like himself.
4 Behold, the man. And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which [had] the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me. (Ezekiel 9:11) This is the Writer, the Reporter, obedient through His actions, and truthful in His words, and faithful to execute judgment beginning at His sanctuary. (Ezekiel 9:6) This is the Lord Jesus Christ then, and now, and soon to be fulfilled. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. (Hebrews 10:7) For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1st Peter 4:17) For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. (John 12:49) And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. (John 12:50) Behold, the man clothed with linen, in all purity and perfection performing the will of God against those who disobey God’s word and will.
5 Behold, the man. And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name [is] The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: (Zechariah 6:12) This Man is named The BRANCH. Here He is The Branch of prophecy . . . . he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD.
Side Note: There are three known branches in God’s realm: the branch of Kingship, the branch of Priesthood, and the branch of Prophecy. This branch is capitalized as Branch, the BRANCH, and The BRANCH three (3) times in Scripture. CLICK HERE to follow more about The Branch.
The BRANCH of KINGSHIP
•Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. (Jeremiah 23:5)
The BRANCH of PRIESTHOOD
• Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they [are] men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. (Zechariah 3:8)
The BRANCH of PROPHECY
• And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name [is] The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: (Zechariah 6:12) ♦ End of Side Note: There are three known branches in God’s realm.
6 Behold, the man. Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And [Pilate] saith unto them, Behold the man! (John 19:5) In the Old Testament we have seen Behold the man first as Adam. The Holy Spirit of God commands us to actually look and to see what Adam was and what Adam became. Behold the man. Then we see another man in Behold the man, this second documentation is to reveal that this Man is the Man from heaven, the second man, supernaturally sent to guide man to His purposes. The first man [is] of the earth, earthy: the second man [is] the Lord from heaven.(1st Corinthians 15:47) And in the third documentation of Behold the man we have the counterfeit king (Saul) after the hearts of the people in through rejection of their True King. The fourth documentation (four is the Earth number) of Behold the man discloses the Man from heaven in judgment against His people and nation for their rejection of their God. And in the fifth mention we are told to Behold the man who will be the BRANCH from God offering peace and prosperity to His people, and also in this fifth documentation God also offers grace to His nation Israel. God’s perfect order unfolds again even in how this phrase Behold the man coincides with His spiritual numbers.
Through the Old Testament God lays out and prepares mankind for the New Testament. Sin and man’s evil imaginations are presented to man through the Old Testament and then through the New Testament we have the answer and solution to man’s sin in Behold the man. Even in the address of 19:5 we have the number 1 (Godhead), 9 (judgment) and 5 (grace). John 19:5 is the summation Behold the man through the Old Testament.

A Seller of Purple Becomes a Servant of Purple
And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. (Acts 16:14)
Remember the previous section of ‘certain,‘ well, here we are again with a certain woman. But we are told a lot about this woman. Her name is Lydia, she sold purple, and she was from the city of Thyatira. The name Lydia is mentioned only three times in the Bible. The first time is in Ezekiel 30:5 where it is connected with other nations and the mingled people. Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword. This is our world. We are all mingled people. (Notice that from the four countries that are mentioned in Ezekiel 30:5 two no longer are known as Lydia and Chub. This is what happens when peoples from totally different societies are gathered together in the same geographical territory, the nation cannot remain as it was because the differences cannot be overcome, amalgamation is impossible.)
The tangible world has become so mingled, and so melded together that even through DNA studies we are seen as a slough of decomposed putrefied flesh. This has always been one of the main goals of Lucifer: to destroy mankind physically, morally, and spiritually. Since mankind is a tripartite entity: body, soul and spirit; man’s body, soul and spirit have been targeted by Lucifer for total destruction. Lucifer’s insane hatred against His Creator extends to everything that God has created, and that includes man. Mankind is clueless of his origin, his purpose, his enemy and of his Creator. The vestiges of man’s own destruction against himself is seen proudly walking around grocery stores aisles displaying their ignorance of what they have willfully done to their own bodies.
Lydia was the product of many nations; thus, she represents the Gentile world. She sold purple, this could be both purple die and/or purple cloth, and she was of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. This verse does not say that she was of the church in Thyatira, but that she was of the city of Thyatira. ‘Odor of affliction,‘ was her home as it has been the home of humanity since Adam sinned and brought the stench of death over the earth. Another point to notice that this woman, Lydia, whose name means ‘firebrand,’ and ‘travailing’ also symbolizes the spiritual condition of man: a rebel, agitator and always laboring without inward and outward peace. How the Holy Spirit of God describes mankind and their sinful position in the world of their own making is amazing. But we are also told that although she worshipped God, she knew not God UNTIL the Lord opened her heart to receive the words of God. The last time that Lydia is mentioned in scripture is in Acts 16:40 when Paul and Silas entered into [the house of] Lydia and found in her home brethren of like mind, soul and spirit. And they went out of the prison, and entered into [the house of] Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.
What a lovely way to connect the words from a man afflicted in soul and spirit, the man Pilate, when he proclaimed, Behold, the man. All need to Behold, the man. The Holy Spirit leads us to a woman, who spiritually was travailing in soul and spirit, worshiping a God she did not know in a city polluted with the affliction of idolatry and sin. The Lord opened her heart to Behold, the man: the Man Christ Jesus, the glorified Man in heaven for her; thus, this seller of purple became a servant of the Man of Purple.

Woman was Arrayed in Purple and Scarlet
We have come full circle in the woman arrayed in Purple. The last documentation of the word purple is in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 17:4; 18:12 and 18:16) In Revelation 17:4 it is THE WOMAN who is arrayed in purple. In Revelation 18:12 it is THE MERCHANDISE of purple, and in Revelation 18:16 it is THAT GREAT CITY that is clothed in purple.
The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, (Revelation 18:12)
And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! (Revelation 18:16)
A thief is an opportunist continually fine tuning his skills with one goal in mind and that is to succeed in his profession and to become known as the master of the art of thievery. Lucifer was the originator of thievery. His first attempt of thievery was to steal the Priesthood away from the High Priest of God, Melchisedec, but before he could achieve his goal, he had to first STEAL God’s supreme state of sovereignty over His angels. Lucifer first built an organization within the ranks of God’s order. We can call this the Shadow Government, or the Underground Government, or the Swamp Government in the realm of a Holy and Righteous Kingdom under the rule of a Holy and Righteous God. (Again, I will repeat, everything that is within the tangible realm FIRST began in the spiritual realm. The spiritual always PRECEDES the natural. Our realm of the visible, the material, the tangible, or the natural is not the PRIMARY realm. It is the supernatural spiritual realm that is PRIMARY over the material. The UNSEEN realm, (unseen by mankind) is the PRIMARY realm.) So, before time began and before God created man, and created a new world wherein His new creation of mankind would have a perfect setting to dwell in, there in the UNSEEN realm, an underground movement of rogue angels was fermenting behind the scenes to take over God’s holy realm to establish a realm where they would rule in power and sovereignty. How so human like, or is it just the opposite that the evil imaginations of man are so like the rogue angels in timelessness. Those created angels either forgot or they refused to accept that they had been created by A CREATOR. How so much like mankind they were . . .oops . . . how so much like deceptive angels is mankind. We, as they, although of different natures (one difference being that angels cannot die, and man can), are so closely linked together in denying that our Creator God has unlimited power and sovereignty. How did Lucifer influence angels to follow him? Lucifer used with mankind the same techniques that worked with the angels that rebelled against God. First, Lucifer denied the words of God, Yea, hath God said? Next, Lucifer implanted a false idea into their minds, ye shall be as gods. Then he used the one thing that most probably sealed their commitment to him, Ye shall not surely die. (They believed that they had nothing to lose. Their rebellion was not punishable.) They erroneously swallowed this falsehood knowing that they were created unable to die, not understanding that disobedience has consequences, and although they could not die God had other means at His disposal that would equal death for the deathless. God didn’t accidentally or in error create angels unable to die outside of His power and sovereignty over ALL of His creation.
What has this all to do with the woman arrayed with purple, and the merchandise of purple and the great city clothed with purple? Summarily, the stealing of the purple of God may begin with one deception, but deception spreads and contaminates everything until an entire city is draped in the treachery of stealing the purple. The purple robes of God is the visibility and the understanding that GOD IS KING ETERNAL, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1st Timothy 1:17) To attempt to usurp His power and His Sovereignty is stealing the PURPLE.Â
1. The King (Isaiah 33:17) (Luke 19:38)
2. The King of the Jews (Matthew 2:2)Â
3. The King of Israel (John 1:47-49)
4. The King of saints (Revelation 15:3-4)
5. The King Eternal of all ages (1 Timothy 1:17)
6. The King of Righteousness and Peace (Hebrews 7:1-3)
7. The King of heaven (Daniel 4:37 then 34)
8. The King of glory (Psalm 24:7,8)
9. The King of kings (Revelation 19:12-16)
10. My King and My God (Psalm 5:2) (Psalm 44:4)
11. King over all the earth (Psalm 47:2, 7)
12. The King of nations (Jeremiah 10:7)
If God allows us to continue posting articles through His Holy Spirit into the woman called MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH, we will prayerfully be looking further into the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Most probably we will again face Revelation Chapter 18 and Revelation 17:4.
Now, however, we will go on to the third documentation of the woman in Revelation 17:6 in the next article titled Men of Renown – Part xxxvi – The Drunken Woman.
3. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. (Revelation 17:6)
