The Coat
Part 9

By the great force [of my disease] is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat. (Job 30:18)

INTRODUCTION

his series titled The Coat follows the word COAT through Scripture using various teaching methods that the Holy Spirit of God employs such as phrases, word placement, numbers, patterns, a linear timeline, progressive revelation, the Law of First Mention, layered themes, and bridging. Sometimes the spiritual bridge joins together time and timelessness, or it can also be seen as a joining between two different time frames within ONE word or within ONE verse.
The Word of God (the Lord Jesus Christ) is the amazing wonder of God’s greatness toward His creatures: mankind. As the written word is the visible greatness of the Living Word of God, so also the Living Word is reflected through His written word. How can anyone proclaim to know the written word of God without knowing the Living Word of God? How can anyone proclaim to know the Living Word of God without knowing the written word of God? They are ONE and the SAME.
Following one word, the word COAT, through the Old Testament has opened the themes and subjects of HEIRSHIP, SONSHIP, SACRIFICE, PRIESTHOOD, KINGSHIP, and THE ADVERSARY and CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE KING. Our current study verse in the book of Job, Chapter 30, verse 18 awaits revelation from the Holy Spirit of God. Where will He take us?
Where should YOU begin? First, READ the book of Job. Then if unable to do so, then at least READ the complete 30th Chapter. The book of Job has 42 Chapters. It is a DEEP WELL full of information and KNOWLEDGE of the Holy. Within this DEEP WELL resides Satan’s game plan AGAINST man, God’s plan FOR man, and man’s condition and position in an evil world.
As you read the next section, Chapter 30, think along these lines: how does this Chapter relates to the suffering of Christ? Is man’s position and condition reflected through Job in this Chapter? What is within this number thirty? The number thirty (30) is 3 x 10, God (3) and the order of God (10). It is the PERFECT GOD in HIS PERFECT ORDER of time. The Holy Spirit of God, His divine WORDSMITH, perfectly describes the state of sin as a GREAT FORCE and as a BINDING COLLAR. By the great force [of my disease] is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat. (Job 30:18)

The Book of Job – Chapter 30

But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock. (Job 30:1)
Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old age was perished? (Job 30:2)
For want and famine they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste. (Job 30:3)
Who cut up mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots for their meat. (Job 30:4)
They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after a thief;) (Job 30:5)

He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes. (Job 30:19)
I cry unto thee, and thou dost not hear me: I stand up, and thou regardest me not. (Job 30:20)
Thou art become cruel to me: with thy strong hand thou opposest thyself against me. (Job 30:21)
Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to ride upon it, and dissolvest my substance. (Job 30:22)
For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living. (Job 30:23)
Howbeit he will not stretch out his hand to the grave, though they cry in his destruction. (Job 30:24)
Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor? (Job 30:25)
When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness. (Job 30:26)
My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented me. (Job 30:27)
I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation. (Job 30:28)
I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls. (Job 30:29)
My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat. (Job 30:30)
My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the voice of them that weep. (Job 30:31)

JOB

By the great force [of my disease] is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat. (Job 30:18)

Job’s name means ‘the cry of woe: I will exclaim,’ and/or ‘he will cry.‘ This name is mentioned outside of the book of Job three times. CLICK HERE for the triple woe.

Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver [but] their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 14:14)
Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, [were] in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall [but] deliver their own souls by their righteousness. (Ezekiel 14:20)
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. (James 5:11)

Job is listed twice with two other Old Testament men: Noah and Daniel. Noah is known through the first mention of the word GRACE, and Noah is also recognized as the FIRST and the LAST, a person who lived in two very different worlds and ages. He bridged two worlds. The first world became totally engulfed by water, and the next and current world will become totally engulfed by fire. These three men were placed in this particular sequence by the Holy Spirit of God for a specific reason. All these men were spiritually tied to two different worlds. Obviously. Noah bridged two different worlds. Daniel also was the bridge between the last dynastic Jewish kingdom and prophetically wrote of a future Jewish nation to come under the millennial reign of a righteous King. Thus, Daniel was the bridge between a nation lost and a nation reclaimed. As Noah was a man spiritually separated from the world that surrounded him, so also Daniel was a man spiritually separated from the world that surrounded him. This leaves us with the middleman known as Job: ‘the cry of woe: I will exclaim,’ and/or ‘he will cry.’ Although Job was a central respected figure in his time and age, nevertheless, he also was a man spiritually separated from his surroundings. All those who serve God and His Christ understand separation from the world. The following verses disclose the character of Job and Noah. There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. (Job 1:1) These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. (Genesis 6:9)

JOB and MAN and the GREAT FORCE of SIN
MY DISEASE – MY GARMENT
BINDETH ME – MY COAT

By the great force [of my disease] is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat. (Job 30:18)

Our main study verse clearly states a personal state of ownership through the words MY disease, MY garment, bindeth ME, and MY coat by the great force of SIN. From the beginning of time, man (Adam) became SIN. Man sees SIN as something outward, something outside of his personal existence that causes him to make mistakes, and to act against his better judgment. He may admit that he is a sinner, BUT he is unable to understand that HE IS SIN. Looking at himself as a victim of sin, or sometimes as a participant in acts of sin, mankind refuses to see the truth about SIN. Job, through the Spirit of God, states SIN as a DISEASE, and a GARMENT that is worn. It is a DISEASE, a DEADLY disease, and because it is a GREAT FORCE Job’s garment was changed. Not only does Job represent followers of God, those of FAITH, but through the book of Job we see mankind caught and tightly bound, unable to breathe as he slowly chokes to death by SIN.
The 18th verse perfectly describes SIN as a GREAT FORCE. This is the only time in Scripture that the words ‘GREAT FORCE‘ is recorded. Also, the phrase ‘collar of my coat,’ is also ONLY recorded in the book of Job. The words ‘my disease’ is also recorded ONLY in Job. There are a lot of ONLY’s in the book of Job but in our main study verse the ONLY’s take on a deeper meaning.
There are many types of sin, and many categories of sin, and some religions place levels of importance on various sins; thus, teaching that there are minor and major sins. There may be minor or major sins as far as emotional consequences and physical results are concerned, but there are NO minor or major sins as far as God is concerned. Mankind not only has deluded himself about sin but he has been willingly indoctrinated to see sin through a lense of lies. Man is NOT born without sin. Every child born into the world IS ALREADY A SINNER not because it is a sinner but because IT IS SIN. MAN IS SIN. Innocence and sinlessness are two different concepts. They are NOT of the same devalued coin. Think of it in this manner, the race of man has within itself a corrupt DNA called the DNA of SIN. Can DNA change? Yes. One way that DNA can change or altered is through a traumatic event. This is what occurred with Adam and Eve when Adam sinned at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. How do we know that what followed WHEN Adam sinned was a traumatic event? They SAW that the glory that God had clothed them with had CEASED, it had DEPARTED from them, and they SAW themselves without the GARMENT of glory. The words By the great force [of my disease] is my garment changed takes us back to the garden when the great force of SIN caused the GARMENT of glory to be removed and to cease and thus, man SAW his physical body in an altered state of nakedness. The GLORY of GOD that had clothed them had DEPARTED; I would call that a traumatic event. In fact, I would call it an earth-shattering event that not only shook the earth but also shook the heavens once again.

And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: (Genesis 3:2)
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. (Genesis 3:3)
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (Genesis 3:4)
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. (Genesis 3:6)
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. (Genesis 3:6)
And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. (Genesis 3:7)
And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. (Genesis 3:8)
And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? (Genesis 3:9)
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. (Genesis 3:10)

They (Adam and Eve) KNEW GOOD, but when Adam sinned, they then SAW evil in that the GARMENTS of glory no longer clothed and protected them from the eyes of a holy and righteous God. I would definitely call that a traumatic experience. Their world of goodness was no longer available to them. Their world of talking face to face with God in the face of Jesus Christ was no longer available to them. They went from wearing a GARMENT of glory to wearing a GARMENT of their own making (And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Genesis 3:7) to God placing on them a GARMENT OF DEATH. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. (Genesis 3:21)
Man’s garment changed. Man had become SIN. Every newborn babe not only has the DNA of sin within, but SIN tightly constrains and shackles every movement as the collar of a coat also impedes how man views his surroundings. By the great force [of my disease] is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat. (Job 30:18)

JOB
and
The Land of Uz

Job was a man in the land of Uz. This territory is recorded three times in Scripture. This land of Uz is noted for all the mingled people and for its association with Edom, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name [was] Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. (Job 1:1)
And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod, (Jeremiah 25:20)
Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked. (Lamentations 4:21)

This land of Uz is noted for its connection to Esau, the father of the Edomites in mount Seir.

And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red [pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom. (Genesis 25:30)
And these [are] the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir: (Genesis 36:9)

This central figure in our study verse lived in a land with mingled people from every form of paganism and surrounded by the descendants of Esau, the REBEL. At the very beginning of this book, the Holy Spirit discloses the environment, the background and the condition of the inhabitants in just a few words. The meaning of the name of Job discloses not only the man, but it also reveals the land. From the very beginning we see a person engulfed by great sadness with ‘the cry of woe.‘ Why? What did Job fear? What was his cry of woe?

And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. (Job 1:2)
His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east. (Job 1:3)
And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. (Job 1:4)

Job had everything, wealth, prestige, great possessions, and children. What was his great concern? And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. (Job 1:5)
SIN was Job’s great concern. At the very beginning of the book of Job, the Holy Spirit of God lays out the MAIN ISSUE that should concern every man. Let us look at the land of Uz. Uz means ‘consultation,’ and/or ‘counsel.’ Just through the meaning of the name of Job and his surroundings of a land called Uz, God lays before us another theme. When Job’s friends went to comfort him, they also counseled him, in that act they represented the land or the world that they lived in. Most of the content of the book of Job reveals the beliefs and understanding about God from the thoughts of Job’s friends. (That is maybe for another time and article.) The land of counsel did not seek the counsel of God. The people of the land of counsel preferred counsel from other men of like minds, minds and hearts empty of wisdom and knowledge. Who [is] this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? (Job 38:2) Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. (1st Timothy 1:7)

Job lived in an environment of SIN, surrounded by REBELLIOUS people with diverse backgrounds, agendas, ethics, and values. Uz, the land of counsel, influenced the inhabitants to seek counsel, but advice and guidance without God’s wisdom and understanding of the holiness of God is worthless counsel. Uz and its people resemble every nation in our age and the people of our age. Any land that is ruled by mingled people sets the stage for a mingled, mixed and confused government. The Spirit of God NEVER errs when He selects a specific word. The Spirit of God tied Uz and its people with the act of mingling. To mingle and to mix results in confusion because values and historical identities become diluted. The old world was destroyed because children of FAITH mingled with the children of Cain (the giants in the land). There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. (Genesis 6:4) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5)
Later in the new world, Israel mingled among heathens. But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. (Psalm 106:35) And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them. (Psalm 106:36) Mingling continued into the New Testament because man refused to accept the disastrous results of mingling. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (2nd Corinthians 6:14) Mingling takes in much more than sexual mingling. Allow error to come into the realm of truth, and error will attempt to murder truth.  The unifying strength of the Christian is to be of ONE MIND in Christ Jesus. ONE MIND, ONE HOPE, ONE FAITH is unity unconquerable.

That ye may with one mind [and] one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:6)
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, [being] of one accord, of one mind. (Philippians 2:2)

Job was surrounded by a land of counselors without the knowledge of God. We, the FAITHFUL and FOLLOWERS of Christ, are also surrounded by a land of counselors without the knowledge of God. Thousands of different voices clamor for predominance OVER those of ONE MIND. Mingling is a passive word for domination and division because ALL that first begins with mingling culminates in political totalitarianism, and religious confusion. Mingling is the first strike from the scheme of ‘divide and conquer,’ under the banner of diversity.

Diversity is NOT a unifying element. Diversity cannot unite. It divides. Diversity in our contemporary age supports confusion. How can over hundreds of diverse languages, and over hundreds of diverse ideologies, and over hundreds of diverse religions, and over hundreds of diverse moral values form a united nation? It cannot. Diversity and unity are impossible because they are in opposition against each other. I write from the view that moral and immoral diversity is in conflict with Biblical principles of morality and truth. This is our current spiritual battle hiding in the folds of the flag labeled equality. Moral diversity (which is in reality immoral diversity) promotes diabolical hatred and malice towards those with contrasting moral principles and values based on Biblical truth. A nation cannot sustain itself as a united entity when it deliberately strengthens the divisiveness of diversity into every educational, social, political and religious format. There are two things to consider, a nation united by immorality or a nation united on Biblical truths and principals.  After creation God deliberately set His platform for all to comprehend where true strength comes from. It is DIVISION. The Biblical principle of UNITY is unity through SEPARATION. United with God through Christ is separation from the world and from the things of the world.   Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  (1st John 2:15) GOD DIVIDED  And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:4) CLICK HERE to read about God’s principle of division. Darkness and Light cannot mix as error and truth cannot become one together.  A nation cannot be united by division, as the Church cannot be united without division. Do you understand the difference? Conflicted minds and hearts have been captured by confusion. CLICK HERE for more about  national confusion.

That is why Babylon is CONFUSION, and that is why the Age of Babylon comes to an end. AND that is why the nations of our world are citizens of Babylon. The following paragraph is taken from a previous article. (Remember that Babylon means CONFUSION.)

Babel, Shinar and Babylon all mean confusion. Although Babel, Babylon, and Shinar all have the same meaning, within each name there is a root of a specific form of confusion. There is the confusion of languages (Babel), there is the confusion of the mixing and intermingling of peoples (Shinar), and there is mental, physical and spiritual confusion (Babylon) at its completeness of madness. Each name typifies a distinctive area of confusion: verbal/communication, physical, emotional and spiritual. Babylon symbolizes mankind overcome by his own will. A will centered around sin; sin so intractably vile that man can no longer reason outside the parameters of his own fantasies; unfettered sin is madness unrestrained.     Back to the book of Job . . . .

This ancient of ancient books, this aged book, that is dateless sets’ relevant subjects and issues, such as, SIN, SATAN, REDEMPTION, RESURRECTION, ETERNAL LIFE, SUFFERING, FAITH, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and of course, all issues that follow the questions of man, Why does God . . .or why doesn’t God? To those who continually question God and His motives, whatever bothers you, the answer and the solution to your question and problem IS IN the book of Job. Those who question God really neither care to KNOW, nor do they wish to gain any knowledge of the holy. These questioning individuals have no inclination to search for themselves. They will go from question to question, from one subject to another subject in their attempt to bring CONFUSION into the conversation.
The book of Job reveals much about the UNSEEN Supernatural world. Through its pages there are scenes of the Supernatural world in time and in timelessness. This book is different from all the other books of Scripture not only in its scope of time, but even the words selected by the Holy Spirit sounds as a language from a distant land. For instance, the word ‘aged‘ is mentioned more times in the book of Job than any other book. Also notice that certain KEY words that are only documented ONCE in Scripture are in the book of ‘the cry of woe.’

JOB
and
His Cry of Woe

By the great force [of my disease] is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat. (Job 30:18)

In the very first Chapter we are given the main concern that constantly troubled this perfect and upright man named ‘the cry of woe: I will exclaim,’ and/or ‘he will cry: SIN. Also note that the Holy Spirit of God identified Job as the greatest of all the men of the east in verse 3, yet Job was a troubled man over the issue of SIN of those he loved. That is the heart of a priest. Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor? (Job 30:25)

And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. (Job 1:4)
And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually. (Job 1:5)

Job offered burnt offerings to God for his sons, and God ACCEPTED his offerings. That alone should tell us more about the man Job. God had not yet established a formal priesthood that was yet to come through Moses and Aaron. There was NEVER a time in the history of mankind that God did NOT act outside of the accepted norm and ACCEPT the offerings from a heart turned to God consider Abel and the more excellent sacrifice.
The book of Job discloses that God ACCEPTS man regardless of earthly time, custom, affiliations, or genealogy. Although there was NOT an established earthly mediator between God and man, nor was there an established priesthood, yet God ACCEPTED Job’s offering for his sons as Job offered burnt offerings in a priestly role. Thus, through Job’s actions in offering for others the concept of priesthood and mediation is within this ancient book . . . and Job’s burnt offerings were ACCEPTED. Also note this phrase at the end of verse 5, (the number five is the number for grace). Thus did Job continually. God through GRACE also continually ACCEPTED Job’s offerings. The book of Job can be described as a ‘bubble’ or a ‘parenthesis” placed in the linear narrative time frame within God’s timeless cosmos, an indescribable time frame designed by the Creator of time for a specific purpose.

The purpose of the book of Job was to set the gospel of God TO ALL OF MANKIND. That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. (Romans 15:16) It is a book about one man’s trials who diligently and faithfully served God. Job represents those of FAITH in the past and those of FAITH in the present and in the future to come. Through Job God places before us the theme of the sons of God, and the theme of the FAITHFUL suffering, persecution, rejection, and reproach for His sake.

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together. (Romans 8:17)
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; (Philippians 1:29)
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. (1st Timothy 4:10)
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (2nd Timothy 3:12)

The placement of the book of Job was set after the book of Esther and before the book of Psalms. Job (a bubble of GRACE to ALL of mankind) follows the narrative of the Jews in slavery and captivity in a Gentile world, and the book of Job comes before Songs of Praise and Exaltation. Through the Supernatural Order of all things God follows the book of Esther with ten (10) chapters (the perfect order of God in the number ten) with the book of Job (GRACE offered to the Gentile world) with forty-two (42) chapters. (The number forty-two (42) is a number associated with man’s resistance or opposition against God. The number forty-two is recorded thirteen (13) times in Scripture, follow Numbers 35:6, 2 Kings 2:24, Revelation 11:2 and 13:5. These two numbers 13 and 42 are tied together, thus further disclosing man’s rebellious defiance against the things of God. Six (the number of man) times seven (the number of the perfection of God) is forty-two.) Through the forty and two chapters of the book of Job Satan is seen as a rebellious hateful entity working against God and against His servants. The book of Psalms contains one hundred and fifty chapters (150), fifty is the number of Jubile and deliverance, the number 100 is based on 10 x 10, which is the number of the Perfection of God’s order. I mean, you just can’t make up these connections out of thin air. God the Holy Spirit teaches through many methods, and the placement of books is one of His marvelous interweaving of words and number sequences.
Conclusion: the book of Job follows the book of Esther and comes before the book of Psalms for a specific purpose. The Jews became captives and enslaved by the Gentile world; next, the Gentile world is offered God’s grace, then next, praise and jubilee. AND what do we have?. . . the Old Testament concludes in slavery of the Jewish nation, the Gentile world presented with the gospel of God in the New Testament, and then Jubilee and deliverance in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Now where were we? Oh, yes, back to the book of Job.
After the introduction of Job through verses 1-5, there is another bubble of information dropped into the narrative of Job. Through verses 6-12 the Holy Spirit of God allows the reader to view a Supernatural sight. JOB
and
The Sons of God

Who Where These Sons of God?
Men or Angels?

1.  That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. (Genesis 6:2)
2.  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown. (Genesis 6:4)
3.  Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. (Job 1:6)
4.  Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. (Job 2:10)
5.  When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:7)
Scripture discloses who the sons of God were and who they are. The phrase the sons of God is recorded  five times in the Old Testament and since the number five is the number of grace, as we examine each mention it is only through the grace of God that we are shown the truth.

1.  That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. (Genesis 6:2) In this first mention of the sons of God we also have another group of individuals called the daughters of men.

This is the beginning of the intermingling of two different groups of people designated by their SPIRITUAL differences.  The sons of God were of the line of Seth (sons of God, children of God, who worshiped God and called on His name) and the daughters of men were of the corrupted line of the other children of Adam who did not worship God, nor called on His name. The corrupted line also includes the first born of the earth: Cain and his offspring from the line of giants since Cain was MARKED by God as the first giant of renown on the earth. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. (Genesis 4:15)

2.  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown. (Genesis 6:4) In the second documentation of the sons of God we discover a third group of individuals, giants in the earth, (this was the offspring of the clan of Cain). This third group of the clan of Cain who had been cast far away from the rest of humanity built a society based on idolatry and murder under their father Cain, (the original giant) they also began to sexually intermingle with the other sons and daughters of Adam. The line of Seth, who called on the name of the Lord, eventually also became corrupted by sin until there was only one righteous man left from the line of Seth, Noah.
The next time that the phrase the sons of God is recorded is in the book of Job. It is in Job that we see that God set apart for Himself Gentile followers who worshiped God and thus, God called them the sons of God. The third and fourth mention of the sons of God takes place ON THE EARTH, it is NOT a scene in the heavens. How do we know the place? It all takes place on earth because Scripture says, Now there was a day (Job 1:6) and Again there was a day (Job 2:10). Time only exists on earth . . . there was a day.
Satan’s favorite venue is where the righteous gathers. Chapter 3, verse 16 of the book Ecclesiastes profoundly states that iniquity was everywhere: under the sun AND IN THE PLACE of righteousness.  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there. Satan’s favorite place is wherever righteousness abounds. Satan’s preferred venue is wherever righteousness dwells.

3.  Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. (Job 1:6)
4.  Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. (Job 2:10)
Did you see the difference between verse 6 and verse 10. Through verse 6, when the sons of God presented themselves before the LORD, Satan came also among them. Satan was AMONG them, UNSEEN by earthly eyes. You can be assured that whenever Satan is AMONG the sons of God he is there to PRESENT HIMSELF. He is not there to present the Lord Jesus Christ. Countless religions worship and offer praise to emotions, to the newest ‘worship’ fad, to their own perceived righteousness, to political fairy tales, and even to the veneration of ceremonial deification. When Satan presents himself among the sons of God that is exactly what he does, he presents himself as the center of true worship. Our current ‘religious’ world has lost the reality of worship, they not only do not know what true worship is, but they do not know who God is.
Through the number six, the number of man, the Holy Spirit of God reveals that the sons of God are men NOT angels. God repeats and repeats and repeats that the sons of God are NOT angels in the form of mankind. God again and again connects the number six with man and STILL there are those who are stuck on IGNORANCE and on the traditions of man.
Moving on to the conversation between God and Satan in Job Chapter 1:7-12, read the arrogance of Satan, and how God sets before him His servant Job, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? God is confident that Job will maintain his integrity of FAITH unlike Satan, who as Lucifer, failed to honor God and through his failure ceased to maintain his position as anointed cherub and son of the morning. In verse 7, Satan’s prime focus was the earth. He had lost his position in heaven, and all that he was allowed was of the earth.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. (Job 1:7)
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? (Job 1:8)
Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? (Job 1:9)
Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. (Job 1:10)
But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. (Job 1:11)
And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. (Job 1:12)

The Lord drew Satan’s attention to Job, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Satan’s goal then became centered on the man Job to cause Job to curse God to God’s face. Verse 12 disclosed who held POWER, Satan had power over earthly possessions, but God had the POWER over Satan . . . only upon himself put not forth thine hand. Nevertheless, having lost children, possessions and economic security, Job WORSHIPPED God.

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, (Job 1:20)
And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. (Job 1:21)
In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. (Job 1:22)

Then we have the second appearance of Satan Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. (Job 2:10) Notice the difference . . . Satan presented himself before the LORD. He erroneously believed that he was on an equal footing with the sons of God as they presented themselves to God. However, this second meeting revealed that Satan had FAILED to cause Job to curse God, in fact, Job drew closer to God through his tragedy.
Notice the number where Satan strikes, of course, it begins with the number thirteen (13).

And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: (Job 1:13)
And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: (Job 1:14)
And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. (Job 1:15)
While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. (Job 1:16)
While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. (Job 1:17)
While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house: (Job 1:18)
And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. (Job 1:19)
(Job 1:22)

The superstition that bad tidings come in three’s could have started with the three times that it is written; While he was yet speaking. Very few individuals can relate to what happened to Job in the matter of seconds. Then to add to his emotional grief, he was physically tormented. When it is your time to be in the cage with Satan, he will strike quickly, mercilessly and continually. So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. (Job 2:7) Every inch of Job’s body was overcome with physical agony that shook his spirit. When we are at our weakest point emotionally, then Satan strikes. Physical pain can overwhelm the spirit of man. Every movement of the body can become excruciating to the point of tears and crying where just the thought of having to move brings on great anxiety. Simple chores become almost impossible and the care of others becomes burdensome. The physical state of Job was not life ending, but nevertheless it was unbearable. His grievous state cannot be described in words, for who among all of mankind can describe the loss of ALL their children at one instant in time. A broken heart and a broken spirit can become a death knell tolling. God gave this man Job the perfect name. ‘the cry of woe: I will exclaim,’ and/or ‘he will cry. However, for Job his suffering heart and grieving spirit was purposed by God for a glorious result. When in the cage with Satan, it is difficult for the child of God to see a glorious result. Those who know the last chapter of the book of Job KNOW that Job was given ALL that he had lost and MORE. However, other servants have lost ALL of their worldly possessions and never recovered them on earth, BUT they gained MUCH MORE in their heavenly possessions. Think of those in Chapter 11 of the book of Hebrews. Think of ALL of the apostles of Christ. Think of the overcomers in Laodicea (the last age of the Church). The proof and evidence of God’s GREAT LOVE for His children is without end in His written word and in His Living Word.
God’s purpose was not only a trial of Job’s faith, but through Job’s trial of faith Satan was given a bitter taste of a coming condemnation for his faithlessness to God. There were two trials in the book of Job, the first trial was Job’s trial of faith, and the second trial was to reveal Satan’s failure to achieve victory over a son of God. This earthly second trial of Satan not only reflected his failure, but it disclosed Satan’s failure as the roque angel Lucifer in his trial of treason in the realm of the fires of judgment in the government of God. The depth of Satan’s hatred of mankind and of his Creator God is beyond ALL hatred.

Think along these lines within the celestial realm of The Holy. There was Satan a.k.a Lucifer. who was created as a glorious, anointed angel with beauty and wisdom serving the Almighty God clothed with jewels that reflected the royal and divine greatness of God. AND what or who did God select to serve Him? God chose dust to serve Him. What a low blow for an arrogant prideful creature to be rejected and to see DUST made joint heirs with the Lord Jesus Christ. That must really dig at Satan’s happy spot. Why is man facing such hatred today from those who deeply desire to see man removed from the earth? Satan’s two prong attack is to annihilate the sons of God from the earth and to remove manhood from mankind. Mankind just plays along with Satan’s program; man cannot see that his manhood is being challenged and is on the cutting board.  Job who represented the sons of God was in the cross hairs of this conflict between God and Satan.
Not many preach about the Old Testament and fewer yet preach about Job except to preach about the recovery of his earthly possessions. The words within the book of Job are hard to accept, such as Job’s grief and sorrow, and harder yet to live. Maybe that is why many stay away from the book of Job, the fear of grief and sorrow in suffering. Although Job is saturated with the result of suffering, it is also saturated with joy and victorious praise.

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, (Job 1:20) And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. (Job 1:21) In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. (Job 1:22)

Those are words of a victorious spirit. Now turn to Romans Chapter 12, verses 1, 2, and especially verse 12.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:1)
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; (Romans 12:12)

Rejoicing in hope is a continuous HOPE, and tribulation is also stated as continuous and therefore in both HOPE and TRIBULATION the child of God should be constant in prayer. Job is an example of not only patience, but he is an example of hope in tribulation.

And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. (Job 2:8)
Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. (Job 2:9)
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. (Job 2:10)

As those close to the suffering servant and child of God unwisely counsels, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. Nevertheless, this man of hope and tribulation proclaimed, What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. This conversation between husband and wife (the help mate) centered around integrity, not around the word FAITH, nor the word OBEDIENCE or even the word BELIEF. The written word of God is also a Dictionary and a Thesaurus. God always supplies a spiritual dictionary for the diligent student of Scripture.

And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, [and] wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: The Lord is speaking to Solomon in 1st Kings 9:4

The Holy Spirit defines integrity as the integrity of heart, uprightness, and obedience in action to all that I have commanded thee and faithfulness in keeping God’s statutes and judgments. That is God’s code of godly morality, integrity of heart. Although we do not read the words FAITH, BELIEF or OBEDIENCE according to God’s definition of the word integrity it IS being faithful to God and believing God and obeying God. The word integrity is recorded three times in the book of Job: Job 2:9; 27:5; and 31:6.

God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me. (Job 27:5)
Let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity. (Job 31:6)

To the Christian reader, never be surprised nor unaware that Satan will continually strike at you with ALL of his power to cause you to curse God and to turn you away from God. That is how you know that you are in the battle and over the target.  As Satan strikes you, that is the time to strike back. Don’t allow flack to distract you, opposition is the sign to be aggressive THROUGH PRAYER AND THROUGH the WORD OF GOD.  What did the Lord Jesus Christ use at Satan’s attack and temptation . . . THE WORD OF GOD.
The young spiritually inexperienced newborn or young Christian will be faced with a conflict within his home Church setting. The newborn will face hypocrisy and the political undercurrent that favor the wealthy and the bold. Many walk away from CHRIST not understanding that it is God who has the preeminence and NOT the Church. The Church is merely a physical building. It is the Person of Christ who is to be served, and NOT the Church. That conflict within the physical Church is a deliberate assault against Christ to remove the young Christian from God. From experience I write: WALK AWAY from all that is ungodly and FOLLOW the Lord Jesus Christ, ALLOW the Holy Spirit of God to lead you into greener, newer, fresher, cleaner pastures that will inspire and challenge you to GROW unhindered. The written word of God will protect and inspire. The written word of God will aid you to maintain your spiritual integrity from contamination from an ungodly system and from the influences of false brethren. Many remain in their static church surroundings thinking that they will be able to make a difference, but only to become another source of contention among others of contention. Be more wary and cautious of the well-trodden trail then of the untrodden trail. Since the work of the Church is to TEACH CHRIST and to GLORIFY CHRIST that is also the work of those of FAITH. Appreciate the time before you as a time of learning, a time of reading, a time of prayer and a time of tears. God will be faithful and He will not fail you, He will strengthen you and He will give you purpose. The trail of trials will be lonely, but it will result in blessings and fruitfulness for God.

The battle for the souls of man is deeply rooted in trials of adversity and pain.

It is easy to write about standing strong, but it is another thing to live strong. The apostle Paul worked against the bold voices of false brethren and through adversity and through pain, and God blessed him greatly through revelations upon revelations.

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (1st Corinthians 2:5)
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. (1st Corinthians 16:13)
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11)
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13)
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (Ephesians 6:14)

The inner suffering of Job became a visible suffering. His outward pain revealed Job’s inward pain. Often inward emotional turmoil manifests itself outwardly. Job’s physical suffering was a direct attack on the flesh by Job’s adversary. Job had an enemy, he had an adversary, he had a supernatural spiritual hater of God determined to take away everything that he possessed and loved. The Christian is prone to forget that there are active enemies and an adversary. The times of trial serve to keep us grounded not only on the greatness and power of God but also keeps us grounded on the purpose and result of service.

Neither give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:27)
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (1st Peter 5:8)
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1st Peter 5:9)
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (1st Peter 5:10)
To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (1st Peter 5:11)

After Satan failed to stop Job from worshipping God, he presented himself a second time, and when Satan failed the second time he is not seen again in the book of Job. Satan may be strong among a crowd, but he is also a coward when presented with the Word of God. . . he will flee from you. That is why he hides behind babes and children, and foolish women, and victims of his lies. Hiding in the shadows of materialistic self-importance and in dark dank tunnels of government and clothed with lavish ceremonial robes of religion is the mark of a narcissistic coward. (I am going to pay for that statement.)
The very last documentation in the Old Testament of the phrase the sons of God is found in Job 38:7 that connects to the future documentation of sons of God in the New Testament. Job 38:7 is the spiritual bridge that spans from creation to the joy of fulfillment. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?  Not many books of the Bible contain information about ‘the beginning,’ and fewer yet describe God’s action in creating and forming the earth. Very few, if any, researchers on the birth of the earth delve into the book of Job to read about God’s POWER of creation.
5.  When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:7) Since from the beginning of the documentation of the phrase the sons of God is about man and not angels this phrase continuously reveals more about these sons of God . . . the redeemed of God. Salvation, forgiveness and redemption are NOT available to angels nor for angels. Mercy and grace are not offered to angels.

Why did the Holy Spirit of God place the heirs of salvation into the seventh verse in the 38th Chapter of Job? Again, it is the number that adds more to understanding the message within the verse. The number seven (7) is the PERFECT FULFILLMENT and the PERFECT DIVINE COMPLETION of the GODHEAD in all of His PERFECTION. So . . . and . . . therefore . . . and consequently placing the sons of God in their completed perfection in the final mention can be seen as the FINAL place of the heirs of salvation . . . in the heavenlies where they were created and formed to serve God as sons of God in service to God. From their original creation in the foreknowledge of God, in the thoughts of God, in the mind of God, in the heart of God when they as morning stars together SANG praises to the CREATOR of all things . . .  of things to come and things to be accomplished. The heirs of salvation, the sons of God were as morning stars in the fullness of God’s creative scheme even before they were created in material form. That is why God the Holy Spirit presents the morning stars AND the sons of God in verse 7. ALL IS PERFECT, and ALL IS COMPLETED even in the realm that has not yet been created, the realm of mankind.
As you read this 38th Chapter, you can see how this 7th verse is of an unknown entity, same entity but presented in two different time frames: morning stars in a Supernatural time frame and sons of God in a future Supernatural time frame. (Did I lose you? That’s OK, I sometimes get lost in the weeds as well.) Everything that we (mankind) know and understand and are promised began first and foremost in the spiritual realm in the heavens. The spiritual ALWAYS precedes the natural. The creation of man is in the 38th Chapter of Job but it is stated in the UNSEEN state and revealed through two different frames of time . . . past and future.
The morning stars follow and serve HE who IS THE MORNING STAR . . the Lord Jesus Christ. The overcomer in the church in Thyatira was promised the morning star. And I will give him the morning star. (Revelation 2:28) The morning star is GOD in the PERSON of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then the second and last mention of the phrase morning star is in Revelation 22:16, I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star. (Again notice the message in the UNSEEN, in the double 2 (22) we have the double witness of God and in the number 1 we have the fullness of the GODHEAD, and in the number 6 (man), it all comes together as the GODHEAD witnesses to man through God the Holy Spirit and God the Son to man.)Through Christ, the morning star, we can understand more about Job 38:7.
In Revelation 22 we have the concept of THE ROOT and the OFFSPRING and this concept is shown in When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? The morning stars are of the spiritual ROOT (THE KINGDOM), and the OFFSPRING are the sons of God. Thus, through the concept of ROOT and OFFSPRING we see the development of one united entity . . . first came THE ROOT (the morning stars) then came the OFFSPRING (the sons of God) formed from THE ROOT. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star. The morning stars and the sons of God are NOT angels AND mankind, but these two descriptions are of ONE creation, the ROOT and the OFFSPRING, and thus, we can also state that in Job 38:7 God presents through the simple words ‘the morning stars,‘ and ‘the sons of God‘ the greatest love story of creation and redemption from eternity past to eternity future.
This 38th Chapter begins God’s narration of HIS CREATIVE POWER specifically centered on the earth and the things of the earth for a specific creation, the creation of mankind. To those who are stuck on the fallacy of angels becoming man, it plays along with the fallacy of men becoming women, or men becoming angels. CONFUSION is one of Satan’s many successful schemes to destroy God’s greatest human creation: MAN.
Reflect on the SIX mentions of the phrase, What is man? There we go again, another connection with the number six and man. The first mention is recorded in Job, the seventh Chapter in the seventeenth verse. (Surprise . . . why don’t YOU look into 7:17 to see its spiritual meaning through the first mention of What is man? Remember that The Law of First Mention plays out to the last mention.)

1. What [is] man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? (Job 7:17)
2. What [is] man, that he should be clean? and [he which is] born of a woman, that he should be righteous? (Job 15:14)
3. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? (Psalm 8:4)
4. LORD, what [is] man, that thou takest knowledge of him! [or] the son of man, that thou makest account of him! (Psalm 144:3)
5. Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what [is] man the better? (Ecclesiastes 6:11)
6. But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? (Hebrews 2:6)

Back to the last mention of the sons of God. . . . .

The last mention of the sons of God reveals a new creation of man when through God’s foreknowledge these sons of God shouted for joy, the joy of God’s creation of the new man born again THROUGH the Heir of promise, the Heir, the Lord Jesus Christ. The following verses discloses the finality, the conclusion of the joy of the sons of God IN Christ.

The following is a short summary of the last six mentions of the phrase the sons of God in the New Testament,
1. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12)
2. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14)
3. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. (Romans 8:19)
4. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; (Philippians 2:15)
5. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (1st John 3:1)
6. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (1st John 3:2)
In this 6th and last mention of the sons of God, they are tied to Christ as the morning star, and here is the climax . . . . we shall be like him . . . morning stars. There it is, as He is the morning star, we, the sons of God, shall be morning stars together with Him for we shall be like him.

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:7)
