THE RIVERS – Part 1 – A River Went Out –

THE RIVERS
Part 1
A RIVER WENT OUT

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)

We are about to enter into the arena of the unknown. Unknown to me since I have never before ventured into this particular historical and prophetic realm of the four rivers. To the redeemed, believers in THE LIVING WORD of God and in the written word of God, NOTHING is impossible with God. God desires that His creatures: those called of the species of man should KNOW their Creator God. Since mankind has never been known to be open to know more about God as the Creator God, He has used many methods to reveal Himself to His own creation. But not only is the nature of man basically lazy spiritually, but man is also narcissistically inclined. What has man’s nature to do with the four rivers? Maybe nothing! Or maybe man’s inbred sinful nature is the reason behind the Holy Spirit of God adding the narrative about the four rivers! However, man’s innate nature does relate to his spiritual perception of the unknown realm. I believe that God will lead where HE wills, and for His graceful purposes to enrich seekers in the things of the holy. Let us press on.

THE SPIRITUAL, PREHISTORIC, HISTORIC, GEOGRAPHICAL and PROPHETIC RIVERS OF GENESIS CHAPTER 2

A RIVER WENT OUT
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)

THE FIRST RIVER
The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; (Genesis 2:11)
And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. (Genesis 2:12)

THE SECOND RIVER
And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. (Genesis 2:13)

THE THIRD RIVER
And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. (Genesis 2:14)

THE FOURTH RIVER
And the fourth river is Euphrates. (Genesis 2:14)

INTRODUCTION

To those individuals who dislike reading, (I feel a snark coming on) pretend that your I.Q. is neither a double, nor a single digit. READ the following and NOTICE the deliberate break or separation of verses 10-14. I separated verses 10-14 from verses 2:1 to 2:9 and from verses 2:15 onward to draw your attention to the differences between the subjects. From Genesis 2:1 through 2:9 and from Genesis 2:15 onward it is time based, and the subject is centered around the creation of the HEAVENS (plural), the EARTH (singular), and ALL the host of them. Verse 1 informs the reader that ALL was FINISHED, and ALL that existed within this creation of the HEAVENS and the EARTH was COMPLETED.

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. (Genesis 2:1)
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (Genesis 2:2)
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (Genesis 2:3)
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, (Genesis 2:4)
And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. (Genesis 2:5)
But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. (Genesis 2:6)
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. (Genesis 2:8)
And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:9)

Please notice the difference in how these verses are presented in their formatting from the justification from left to right and how verses 10 through 14 are centered. I want you to SEE the DIFFERENCE not only in formatting but the difference in SUBJECT MATTER.
The Holy Spirit of God DELIBERATELY INSERTS a subject seemingly totally outside of the theme of the creation of mankind placed in the garden of Eden. Five verses about RIVERS are dropped in the middle of the narrative about the creation of mankind. Here is a DIVISION . . . a thoughtful calculated positioning of a theme about RIVERS smack dab in the middle of the theme of the creation of mankind. WHY? Aren’t you curious? I AM.
Since our current theme of the four rivers is inserted into the creation scene, we must FIRST deal with creation itself. This probably will be a first for many readers as sadly . . . no TRAGICALLY . . . what we have been taught through centuries and decades has been TRAGICALLY influenced by so-called science and a slew of Bible scholar wannabes. One good thing about the internet, you can click away at any time, and you can return back to the same trail. My advice to the reader at this juncture is to not go blindly into the fray without the leading of the Holy Spirit of God. If you read something that is new to you, chew on it for a while, but do not swallow until you have personally read the Scriptures and prayed over the validity of subject.

THE CREATION
GENERATIONS of the HEAVENS and of the EARTH
BEFORE the CREATION of MAN

God is setting the theme of timelessness into time, the phrase These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created . . . GENERATIONS (the process of time). The heavenS and the earth have or had GENERATIONS; this statement is not only to reveal the element of time, but it introduces the concept of AGES or progressive formation or a process of development. For those who which to spend their precious time about how God created the heavens and the earth, and how LONG it took to create the heavens and the earth, I say, don’t waste your time. This is all you need to know: that in God’s vocabulary for man He uses just enough information that man can grasp basic concepts. Even if God explained every wind-blown grain of cosmic energy strewn across the universe wilderness of countless galaxies, it will all be beyond man’s comprehension. Man’s attempt to define the beginning of the universe and of the earth is a hopeless attempt simply because man bases it all on time. The universe and the earth were created BEFORE time and man was created AFTER time was established. Thus, the current tools that mankind has at his disposal are also time-based methods to measure light, energy, time and matter/mass.

Mini Side Note: Unknowing man smoothly and casually speaks of time as ‘ten billion years ago,’ or ‘billions of years in the past,’ this or that was formed. These individuals of so-called science KNOW NOTHING about the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created because they KNOW NOT the Creator God, nor do they understand that all that they SEEK after IS IN THE WORD OF GOD. ♦ End of Mini Side Note.

The heavens and the earth were formed in a timeless generational process that God called CREATION. Then God created TIME and, in this time, DAYS and hours were established because His creation of man NEEDED TIME in order to exist. Therefore, we have GENERATIONS and, IN THE DAY, we have ALL that man is capable of comprehending. GOD formed TIME in a TIMELESS system that He called GENERATIONS. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens. (Genesis 2:4) This is the ONLY mention of the phrase the generations of the heavens and of the earth in Scripture. In man’s attempt to know about how the known universe began and when it began, they use many instruments and methods to measure light, energy, time and matter/mass, but they have no interest in measuring SIN. Through this one word of generationS God revealed His measurement of creation . . . this is God’s Supernatural measuring tool.
Notice there is NO mention of SEED in Chapter 2 but fully grown and developed PLANT and HERB. The evidence of plant seed is only mentioned in Genesis 1:11, 12, 29. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed [is] in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. (Genesis 1:11) And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. (Genesis 1:12) Yes, plainly within the ‘after his kind,’ and ‘whose seed is in itselfthere is the fixity of species, and the genetics within all life, and the revelation that within all life there are genetical identifiers that can be called barcode genes. Wonderful as this all is, and very exciting to know that God created all life with such precision and perfection, let us look at Genesis through the eyes of Him who spoke. First God disclosed the fixity of species then He went on to add in Chapter 2, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. (Genesis 2:5)
Again, God is using man’s BASIC BABY vocabulary to aid in understanding the concept of TIME. The word BEFORE presents not only the concept of TIME but we have another concept for our little minds. God had already created (in His preparation for mankind) EVERY (ALL) PLANTS and EVERY (ALL) HERBS BEFORE there was a man to till the ground and BEFORE rain. Our little minds are given the concept of PRE CREATION and CREATION . . . again TIME and GENERATIONAL planting. Basically, we have TIMELESSNESS, TIME, MAN and GOD’S GREATNESS presented to readers of His written word in the words BEFORE it was in the earth and BEFORE it grew
We can (in our simple way) break down timelessness and time but it is impossible for man’s mind to break down or categorize the GREATNESS of God in His creatorial wisdom. However, the Holy Spirit of God has given a few descriptive words for our childlike comprehension of God’s greatness through two references regarding the men who were chosen to design, organize and construct the building of the Tabernacle in the wilderness: Bezaleel and Aholiab. Why this information regarding the construction of the Tabernacle in the wilderness? The Tabernacle, or The Temple of God in the wilderness setting was to teach man the GREATNESS and GLORY of GOD through HIS SPIRIT and through HIS PERSON as JESUS (Joshua, Savior) the CHRIST (the anointed ONE), the MESSIAH. The Tabernacle in the wilderness was a visible structural model of God’s realm: His Sanctuary and His Glory and Majesty in His Spiritual Supernatural Realm of Holiness and Righteousness. Exodus 31:3 and 35:31 is about Bezaleel (Protection of God or In God’s Shade) and Aholiab (Tent of Father or Tent of His Father). CLICK HERE for more information about the Tabernacle in the wilderness.

And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, (Exodus 31:3)
And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; (Exodus 35:31)

First, these two men (Bezaleel and Aholiab) were both FILLED with the SPIRIT OF GOD. Then notice the words: WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING, KNOWLEDGE and ALL MANNER OF WORKMANSHIP. All of these words are only used once in ONE sentence, twice in Scripture. Yes, it is about two men, but it can also be used to describe the ONE in whom all these skills exist within and that is the CREATOR Himself: the Lord Jesus Christ in His creatorial perfection. No one word alone, nor one phrase, nor one concept alone can describe GOD’s creatorial greatness. But here we are, simple, stupid, babies of Scripture reading of things beyond our wisdom, understanding, knowledge and workmanship.
Then the Spirit of God adds more for our lack of comprehension . . . for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. BEFORE MAN was created God planted a garden just for man and in this garden, He planted EVERY plant and EVERY herb just for the benefit of man. But also remember that when God planted, it was in TIME. God’s planning stage in timelessness had evolved into the state of time because the reason for time had begun. Yes, there was a reason for time, God’s purpose for time and His TIME PROGRAM had fully begun. As there was a generational process called creation, there was also a generational process called time. There was the beginning of time specifically placed in timelessness and there was the fulfillment of time as documented in Galatians 4:4 and 5. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law. (Galatians 4:4) CLICK HERE for more.  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. (Galatians 4:5) The purpose for the creation of time was not only fulfilled IN Christ, but when the mystery of God should be finished (Revelation 10:6) there should be time no longer. (Notice that in the address number of the creation scene in Revelation 10:6 we have in the LAST book of the Bible in the number ten (10) God’s divine and perfect ORDER completed for man, the number six (6). And therefore, the need for the element of time ceased . . . and there should be time no longer.)

And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, (Revelation 10:5)
And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: (Revelation 10:6)
But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. (Revelation 10:7)

Before we continue on, think on this concept: Adam was NOT created as a helpless child, nor as an all-knowing audacious teenager, nor as a young adult, but he was created in FULL AGE of responsibility. Then why would it have been necessary for God to create the earth in stages of ages as in a growth pattern? Since mankind did not evolve from a beast, the earth also did not evolve. God created man with FULL APPARENT AGE, and the earth also was created with FULL APPARENT AGE. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, (Genesis 2:4). Through the process of generational creation both the HEAVENS and the earth were created with the appearance of time and age.
Consider this . . . BEFORE time and BEFORE man, the original created earth was seen as the garden of God. Through the following verses Lucifer is documented as having been in the garden of God (the earth) while officiating in his role as the anointed cherub draped in the garments of beauty and of worship. In verse 14, Lucifer is documented as having assigned authority in the governmental and judicial realm of God’s Supernatural holy sphere. BEFORE man and BEFORE time in the holy and righteous sphere we, the readers, discover two different areas within God’s realm: the garden of God and the holy mountain of God. The holy mountain of God is THE EMPIRE OF GOD in its totality: strength, stability, power and majesty where HE RULES and where the Executive Branch of His dominion holds court in their determinate counsels.

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. (Ezekiel 28:13)
Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. (Ezekiel 28:14)
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (Ezekiel 28:15)

The stones of fire is God’s Judicial Branch of judgment. YES . . . GOD JUDGES. YES, there is the JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST. The false doctrine that the God of love will not judge is straight from the pit of hell itself uttered through the miserable mouths and evil minds of men and women of religious renown. I am so very tired of reading that God will not and cannot judge because He is such a loving and forgiving God from scores of religious programs and apps on the internet. For that reason I am including just a FEW verses about judgment. DO NOT ALLOW NOR TOLERATE the voices of the men and ?women? of the clergy, nor the voices of theology academia, nor of their soulless children to spread error through myriads of bible translations of their own evil imaginations that promotes sin and corruption. As there is a church for every opinion, there is also a so-called bible specifically written that supports that opinion.

And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. (John 8:16)
And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. (John 9:39)
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. (John 12:31)
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; (Romans 2:5)
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.  (Romans 14:10)
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad. (2nd Corinthians 5:10)
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27)
For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1st Peter 4:17)
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (2nd Peter 2:4)
To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. (Jude 1:15)

Now let us put the holy mountain of God together with the stones of fire, and tie it to the three branches of government. The Judicial Branch . . . GOD is JUDGE. The Legislative Branch . . . GOD gave the WORD, and the Commandments and the ordinances in written form. The Executive Branch . . . GOD is THE HIGHEST HIMSELF. Through the Holy and Righteous Government of God Christ sits on the throne as the Lamb slain. But unto the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom. (Hebrews 1:8)
Let us go where men do not fear to tread, and where they cling to the traditions of previous men of unstable religions and superstitious ritualism. In one moment they march because of a hidden agenda of a perceived ‘climate change,’ and in the next moment they decry and dismiss any thought of earth ‘change’ whatsoever, rejecting the Biblical event of a UNIVERSAL FLOOD; thus, bringing a ‘new earth’ washed clean from its sin of perversion and evil imaginations. They stumble wildly over ‘Climate Change’ . . . BUT they cannot accept that the earth has experienced change as they mockingly claim that . . . all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, (2nd Peter 3:3)
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. (2nd Peter 3:4)
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: (2nd Peter 3:5)
Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: (2nd Peter 3:6)
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2nd Peter 3:7)

Scripture clearly reveals that the earth has gone through many changes even in the time frame of mankind on earth. The rebellion and war in the heavenly sphere of God brought a monumental change in the heavens and in the earth. Just one example can be seen through the prophet Jeremiah and his vision in Jeremiah 4:23, I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. (Jeremiah 4:23) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2) Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth. (Psalm 104:30) Nothing is impossible with God.
Back to FULL AGE . . . Man’s understanding of genetics is limited to born individuals, therefore the genetics of created individuals is not within man’s purview or scope of comprehension. Adam and Eve, the first male and the first female were both created and formed in FULL OBVIOUS AGE. The first plants and herbs were first created and formed in FULL AGE. The first animals were created and formed in FULL AGE. It was AFTER SIN and DEATH that AGING and the various stages of physical development of man, animals and plants became the noticeable evidence of the state of sin in man and in nature. Plants died from disease, and animals could no longer survive together peacefully. We often forget to consider the pains and anguish of sin on animals and on nature. DEATH and SIN are not issues for mankind only, but DEATH is an issue for the universe itself, for even stars and planets and suns and galaxies die and pass away.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. (Romans 8:19)
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, (Romans 8:20)
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. (Romans 8:21)
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. (Romans 8:22)
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. (Romans 8:23)

After God CREATED the heavens and the earth IN FULL AGE, and AFTER Adam brought SIN into the world, the concept of TIME, GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT and AGE became the norm for man and for the earth also.
Adam was created with something that the angels were not created with . . . THE IMAGE OF GOD. So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 1:27) The nature of man and the nature of angels differ physically, spiritually and mentally. Angels are not robotic entities, there were angels who rejected the voice of his word and followed instead the seductive voice of the great deceiver, Lucifer. Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. (Psalm 103:20)

God’s creation of man in HIS own image was another major point of contention between Lucifer and God. Before God created man, Lucifer and his rogue angels had already fought and had been defeated in the GREATEST WAR among wars. Lucifer’s great anger cannot be described through mere words. Lucifer intensely HATES God. Lucifer more intensely HATES man who was created in the image of God. Lucifer’s earthly goal is to destroy man, to destroy the body of man, to destroy the mind of man, to destroy the spirit of man, to destroy the soul of man, to destroy man in every way and in every manner that is possible: through war, through drugs, and through mind manipulation. By destroying the created image of God (man) then through Lucifer’s insane mind, he assumes that God can be destroyed. Men, women and especially children and babies are currently being victimized by those controlled by Lucifer/Satan. From governments to religion to political activists ALL are focused on one main objective: the destruction of mankind. But you knew this!
Scripture clearly instructs that there are three distinct natures: the nature of man, the nature of angels and the divine nature, and that there are two different forms of life and of bodies: the natural (SEEN and material) and the spiritual (the UNSEEN). Since these natures and forms cannot intermingle God created a new creation of man referred to as being born again: a new man, a new creation.

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: (John 3:1)
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. (John 3:2)
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? (John 3:4)
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5)
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:6)
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (John 3:7)

Side Note: Angels Sexually Mingling with Mankind.
The old man (the natural man, the nature of man) and the nature of angels and the divine nature cannot be intermingled. Many readers have been deeply affected by this theory of the sexual intermingling of man and angels. Many of you will click off at this point, but I ask you to continue reading . . . remember what I previously wrote about chewing but not swallowing, here is your time to follow my advice. This ancient ERRONEOUS fantasy theory of angels mixing and sexually intermingling with mankind thousands of years in the past invaded Christianity, theology, history, mythology, literature, the arts and architecture.) I ask that you consider the Biblical evidence that proves the error of this theory. CLICK on the following links for more on this subject. CLICK . . . CLICK . . . again CLICK and again CLICK .
Now for a brief summary of the 6th Chapter of Genesis. This is the Chapter that those who espouse the mixing of angels with men quote. There is NO mention of either angel or angels in this Chapter. It is ALL about men and mankind. The word giants refer to the line of Cain for Cain bore the mark that God gave him. And the phrase men of renown also refer to the line of Cain. READ Genesis Chapter 6 and tell me where are the angels that sexually intermingled with the daughters of men? Chapter six is about three genealogies: first, what remained or survived or was not corrupted of the FAITHFUL line of Noah; secondly, the corrupted line of Seth; and thirdly, the line of Cain, the line of giants. THERE ARE NO ANGELS IN THE SIXTH CHAPTER OF GENESIS!!!!♦ End of Side Note.

If these natures could intermingle then God would have no need to create a NEW MAN, a born-again man, a NEW creation after the image of God Himself through FAITH.

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: (Colossians 3:10)
But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? (1st Corinthians 15:35)
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: (1st Corinthians 15:42)
It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: (1st Corinthians 15:43)
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (1st Corinthians 15:44)
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. (1st Corinthians 15:45)
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. (1st Corinthians 15:46)
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. (1st Corinthians 15:47)
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. (1st Corinthians 15:48)
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. (1st Corinthians 15:49)
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (1st Corinthians 15:50)

Adam (at creation and before he sinned) WAS as an ‘uncommon man,’ but he became a ‘common man’ when he willingly and unhesitatingly rebelled against his Creator and erroneously acted on the great lie that ye shall be as gods encouraged by yet another greater lie, Ye shall not surely die.

THERE WENT UP A MIST

But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. (Genesis 2:6)

We (that is US/WE together) have taken on some concepts beyond our reasoning abilities, such as TIMELESSNESS, TIME, PRE-CREATION, CREATION, GOD’s GREATNESS, FULL AGE, and SIN, GROWTH and DEVELOPMENT. Now, let us consider Genesis 2:6 and 7, But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. (Genesis 2:6) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) Verse 6 opens another earth to us. Here is the CYCLE concept or the lack thereof.
The created earth (before the flood) DID NOT know of the concept and reality of rain. The whole earth was thoroughly supplied with water by a mist that went up from the earth. Where did this mist come from? Follow the Law of First Mention where the word mist is mentioned three times in Scripture and through these three references flows a spiritual message or lesson.

1. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. (Genesis 2:6)
2. And now, behold, the hand of the Lord [is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. (Acts 13:11)
3. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. (2nd Peter 2:17)

The first mention of mist watered the whole face of the ground. This mist came from an UNSEEN source beneath the surface of the ground. It wasn’t only the garden of Eden that was blessed with this constant rich source of blessing but the WHOLE face of the ground of the earth was gently soaked by a watery mist that strengthened all plant and animal life. No watering schedule, nor reservoirs, nor droughts, nor any form of labor was involved, but the earth itself supplied itself with all that was necessary for its healthy growth pattern. (When man is removed from the thoughts of earth-care, the earth takes care of itself: it reclaims itself, it cures itself, and it covers over the problems that was formed by sin. For example, take a section of land that was poisoned by man, remove man from this land, and watch how the land slowly recovers and heals itself, yes, it may take years, decades or even centuries, BUT the land will regain its health. A poisoned land cannot be cured by more poison. You cannot expect those who create problems (as our U. S. Congress and government agencies) to solve or rectify the problem that they created. God created an earth that can heal itself.)
As the mist rose up from the ground it also gathered the rich elements from the soil, a perfect growing environment created by God’s goodness for mankind. Also do not let the address number escape . . . Genesis 2:6 . . . man (the number six 6) was blessed by the witness (the number two 2) of the Creator God. This first mention of mist also has within its basic meaning a spiritual meaning through the action of the Holy Spirit of God: an UNSEEN life-giving force springing upward.
In the second mention of mist in Acts 13:11, the mist was not water but JUDGMENT and a darkness that FELL from above on Elymas the sorcerer in Acts 13:11, And now, behold, the hand of the Lord [is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. There is a theme within the three mentions of the word mist and also within the address location of 13:11. Elymas was an individual, a personality, a man of renown with a reputation of having spiritual powers . . . FALSE powers, but nevertheless he earned a notable living through lies and mental manipulation. He was a type of Lucifer in this theme of the mist. Why did the Holy Spirit of God use the word mist, He could have used the word drizzle, or fog, or haze, but NO, He used mist? What God had used to water, strengthen and bless the face of the ground of His creation, Lucifer/Satan used to blind and weaken what God had planted. Within the number 13, there is the number for evil.

In the second mention of mist in Acts 13:11, there is the continuation of the theme of the double and triple number of 1 . . . . 13:11 . . . again, can you not see that it is the witness of God AGAINST evil. First, we have 13 (EVIL) and then we have a double 1. EVIL will always be followed by JUDGMENT from God the Son and God the Father. Through the triple one’s (1) and the number three (3) God also discloses that HE is in control even in an evil world.
Let us continue to the third and last mention of the word mist in 2nd Peter 2:17, These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. Here is the mist of darkness reserved for ever for false prophets (2nd Peter 2:1) and for the angels that sinned (2nd Peter 2:4) and for the old world that perished in the universal flood (2nd Peter 2:5) for those of the same ilk as Balaam the religious man of renown. (READ 2nd Peter 2:1-22.) This second Chapter of 2nd Peter takes us from the first mention of mist to the last mention of MIST of the DARKNESS OF JUDGMENT and DEATH. We have examined the message with the address numbers of (Genesis 2:6) and (Acts 13:11), now let us examine the numbers in (2nd Peter 2:17). (Stay focused on what God is revealing about Himself and His realm through numbers not what God is revealing about numbers.CLICK HERE to read about the number 17.
This last address location number was also known by the Holy Spirit of God to be yet in the future of Scripture, so I have no problem with examining this address number in the theme of the word mist. Through the number of witness (the number two) there is also the dual number of 1 and 17. Also the 17th Chapter of the Book of Revelation is the JUDGMENT of the GREAT WHORE OF BABYLON. God the Holy Spirit leaves nothing out, His communication threads takes in details, numbers, themes, colors, words, and yes, even the small word mist.
There are many spiritual lessons in the word mist, for example, this mist came from a source beneath the surface of the ground. The source was UNSEEN. This UNSEEN source of water supplied the earth with all that the earth needed. It is not accidental that the Holy Spirit of God is connected to water as being UNSEEN.

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring: (Isaiah 44:3)
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: (Matthew 3:16)
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5)
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. (Acts 1:5)
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. (1st John 5:8)

The Holy Spirit of God FIRST presents the goodness of God through this life giving mist ascending, then next we are shown the corruptness of man cannot see the goodness of God before him because of the blindness of sin, and lastly, man without their wells filled with the waters of life and carried away by the tempests of sin are destined to face the mist of darkness forever through the judgments of God. That is a basic summary of the spiritual lesson drawn from the word mist. Note: God always offers truth first through principles. And so, we FINALLY begin this article titled The Four Rivers with the PRIMARY SOURCE of LIFE in a river went out of Eden to water the garden!

—–◆—–
A RIVER WENT OUT and the WATER of LIFE

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)

The first mention of the word river comes in the introduction to Eden. There is a difference between a river, water or waters, sea or seas. The sea represents man’s turmoil and changeable sinful nature, always moving, and constantly changing. When God called the dry land, Earth, and when He gathered the waters together and called them Seas, He saw that it was good. And God called the dry [land] Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that [it was] good. (Genesis 1:10) Waters are first mentioned in Genesis 1:2, And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Here we have a connection to the earth as being without form, and void, and darkness was the face of the deep. Dread, fear and horror are emotions that are brought out through this description of the first mention of waters. The waters of the deep described the face of evil. This earthly scene was the result of the WAR in the heavenly realm of God. When Lucifer was cast down to earth as lightning from heaven, ALL was overtaken with EVIL. Christ in Luke 10:18 described that horrendous scene, And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. (Luke 10:18) Lucifer/Satan cannot create goodness, he can form counterfeit goodness by using what has already been created by the GREAT CREATOR GOD, but his expertise and his goal are to be the FACE OF EVIL: to cover all goodness with darkness. As the words sea or seas represent man in sinful turmoil, the words water or waters represent peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues. And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. (Revelation 17:15) The Lord Jesus Christ who is The GREAT CREATOR was and is also the GREAT DIVIDER.

The first division came when God divided the light from the darkness because it symbolized God separating Lucifer (who was darkness) from the Light of God’s righteous realm who is the Lord Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:4) This first division was a spiritual division. And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
The next earthly natural division came when God divided the waters from the waters. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. In the spiritual realm this is the separation of the unrighteous peoples of the world from the righteous. Through this separation or division, we can clearly see the necessity of division. Evil and goodness cannot coexist. Every nation has faced this conflict, especially in the current social setting and political agenda that FORCES the coexistence of accepting cultures that are ideological, morally and religiously evil. Goodness cannot be tolerant of evil, nor should it be. God does not tolerate evil. Consider that this principle that God does not and cannot tolerate evil as the main principle of separation and division shown in Genesis 1:4, And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Spiritual evil was exposed as physical darkness. Evil and the unholy and the unclean rule over the air waves of propaganda and political manipulation and lies through the main sources of news. Practically EVERY news agency LIES, they cannot be trusted, their so-called journalists (script readers) are paid to speak treason because they know that they will not be held accountable by a Congress and a government controlled by Marxist ideology empowered by a corrupt one party system under the guise of a three party system. Truth can never be harsh enough because there are scores of men and women enduring prison because they dared to speak truth. Evil forces and depraved principalities are desperately attempting to mix and meld unholy things into holy things. Besides governments, also consider how unholy churches have become by welcoming the world of corruption and moral filthiness into their fold, and the people like to have it so. The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love [to have it] so: and what will ye do in the end thereof? (Jeremiah 5:31)

And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; (Leviticus 10:10)
Who can bring a clean [thing] out of an unclean? not one. (Job 14:4)
And they shall teach my people [the difference] between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. (Ezekiel 44:23)
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (2nd Corinthians 6:16) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, (2nd Corinthians 6:17)
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Revelation 18:4)

The seas are symbolic of the nature of man in tumult and confusion, while waters represent peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues either unclean as still waters or clean as running water.

Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people. (Psalm 65:7)
Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! (Isaiah 17:12)
The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. (Isaiah 17:13)

In the 1st Chapter of the book of Genesis, God presents the state of the earth AT the moving of the Holy Spirit of God over its ruined condition through the WORD of His power: the power of Light and Life. The earth’s physical composition was beautifully expressed: without form, void, darkness, face of the deep.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2)

Through these words without form, void, darkness, face of the deep, there is much more than merely descriptive words. Why did the Holy Spirit of God write . . . the face of the deep? What was or what is the deep? I have my own thoughts on this matter, but what does Scripture say? The phrase face of the deep is only recorded twice in Scripture: Genesis 1:2, and Job 38:30, The waters are hid as [with] a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. In Genesis 1:2, DARKNESS was the face of the deep, and in Job 38:30 the deep is FROZEN, set, fixed as a stone, unchangeable, and final. In Psalm 36:6 it is documented that thy judgments [are] a great deep. To put this together: the deep was and is viewed outwardly as DARKNESS . . . what is seen outwardly . . . the face of what can be seen, yet behind this face there are JUDGMENTS that have been FROZEN, set and final. Thus, the deep has great depth, a depth so deep that it is bottomless, without end, a sealed eternity of judgments The Creator God had not only planned the element of time, but He also planned and FIXED permanently a particular place for ETERNAL JUDGMENT.

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. (Revelation 20:1)
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20:10)
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (Revelation 20:12)
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. (Revelation 20:13)
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (Revelation 20:14)
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15)

Scripture also describes the location of this fixed state of deepness. It is far off. Far off from man’s natural reach. Far off from man’s natural view, it exists in a timeless state although accessible through time. That which is far off, and exceeding deep, who can find it out? (Ecclesiastes 7:24) Even devils greatly fear the deep. It is a place where none can escape, a fixed place SEALED eternally by an Eternal Judge. From the following Scripture, although devil’s do not have foreknowledge; they would rather end their existence in a physical sentient animal then to be eternally tormented in the place of the unescapable judgment of the deep where there is no light.

And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. (Luke 8:26)
And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. (Luke 8:27)
When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. (Luke 8:28)
(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.) (Luke 8:29)
And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. (Luke 8:30)
And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. (Luke 8:31)
And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. (Luke 8:32)
Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. (Luke 8:33)

There is more about the deep, the deep is also tied to the state of death. Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) Now, where were we? So sorry for the distraction away from this article. Well, truthfully, I am NOT sorry.  Back again to our article. What did God use to divide the waters from the waters?

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. (Genesis 1:6)
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which [were] under the firmament from the waters which [were] above the firmament: and it was so. (Genesis 1:7)
And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. (Genesis 1:8)

God used HEAVEN to divide the waters from the waters. Here the physical represents the spiritual, for only the holiness and righteousness of God can separate the darkness of sin and evil from the true Light and source of Life which is IN the WORD of His power: Jesus Christ.
From the origin and the generation of Earth-Space-Time and from BEFORE creation, God not only perfectly PRE-PLANTED the plans of the creation of earth for the man (Adam) and for his descendants, the people of the dust or the dust people. From God’s creatorial Supernatural genius through His determinate counsels PLANNED that dust would one day be made into the image of God, and so, Adam was created.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 1:27) God named His newly created species from the dust of the earth: man
Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. (Genesis 5:2) Although only one creature was created, the second creature was formed from the first but they were both given the same name: the name Adam; thus all the off spring of this first male and this first female are of the species of MAN, and all share the same family name: ADAM.

Although Adam, dust, failed and brought sin and death into the world, God’s plan did not fail for God had also perfectly planned to take failed dust who was made in the image of God and make another creature, a NEW man, from failed dust, to failed man to glorified man. Things couldn’t get any better than that for mankind, except for one thing. And that one thing was beyond man’s capabilities: FAITH.
Man is not capable of FAITH because FAITH is not natural to man, FAITH is not part of the nature of man. FAITH is a gift, again . . . FAITH is a gift from God. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8) You can verbally accept the Lord Jesus Christ all you want to, you can raise your hands in submission all you want to, you can walk or trip dance down the church aisle all you want to, you can say all the Hail Mary’s you want to, you can win all the church attendance awards you want to, you can utter ‘awehr ewiu pqru ewfofio qpr uprq’ (that’s typing in tongues 🙂 ) all you want to, but NOTHING will save you, except for one thing: FAITH. For by grace are ye saved through faith. But FAITH has to have an object, and that is FAITH IN CHRIST. Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; (Romans 3:25)

At this point in this article, you are probably thinking how does this all come together through the words, seas, waters and river? And how does this all connect with and to our five main study verses in Genesis 2:10 – 2:14? I’m not sure, I just work the keyboard, it is the Holy Spirit of God who guides and governors the direction of this article.
As the word’s seas, waters, separation and division reveal God’s plan, and man’s propensity for chaos, confusion, and uncleanness, so also the word river has spiritual and natural meaning. Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, [which] is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. (Psalm 65:9) The Law of First Mention plays out through the first mention of the word river in Genesis 2:10, And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The Bible is NOT full of coincidences, but it is FULL of the SUPERNATURAL moving of the Holy Spirit of God. As the reader advances through the Bible, the word river adds more to our spiritual understanding of God’s greatness. The earth is enriched with THE RIVER OF GOD.
From the first mention of river in Genesis 2:10, in this number there is the witness [2] of God’s divine order [10], to the last mention of river in Revelation 22:1 we see that this river was just not any river, but A RIVER, a particular river that WENT OUT. Then in Revelation 22:1, And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In 22:1, we are informed that A PURE RIVER WENT OUT or proceeding OUT of the throne of GOD AND OF THE LAMB, and this river was LIFE. Notice the number structure from 2:10 to 22:1: God ADDED the DOUBLE 2 (22) the witness of GOD AND OF THE LAMB. Then the last mention of water (And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17) also connects to the first mention of water in Genesis 2:10. This RIVER in Genesis is LIFE, everlasting life, and it proceeds OUT of the THRONE of God FREELY; thus even through the number structure we have 22 (the double witness) of God (the number 1) and the perfection of the divine GODHEAD (7) who offers the water of life freely because through the fullness of the Godhead bodily Christ is the FOUNTAIN of the water of life.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. (Revelation 21:6)
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. (John 4:10) The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? (John 4:11) Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? (John 4:12) Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: (John 4:13) But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (John 4:14)
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. (John 7:37)  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (John 7:38)

A RIVER WENT OUT OF EDEN
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden;
Part 1

The MAIN SOURCE of life-giving water was in Eden. The word Eden is mentioned in nineteen (19) verses and in one verse it is mentioned twice, thus, Eden is referred to 20 times in Scripture. The word Eden has a triple meaning: delight and house of pleasure and plain (without anything added: pure).
Again, numbers reveal a message. The number twenty as a whole unit (20) reinforces the concept of anticipation of what God is about to do in His perfect divine order. For example, Jacob waited 20 years anticipating his bride; Israel waited 20 years for deliverance; and again, they waited 20 years for their deliverance by Samson; and the Ark waited 20 years in Kirjathjearim. Always stay focused on what God is revealing about Himself AND His realm through numbers not what God is revealing about numbers. CLICK HERE for more information about the number 20.  Now, let us put the meaning of the name of Eden together with the message in the number of twenty references together. God’s PERFECT DIVINE ORDER is set before us by the Holy Spirit of God both in meaning and through symbolism in the first GARDEN on planet Earth, especially created for man. God didn’t place man in a prairie, or in a desert, or in a swamp, or on an island, but in a pre-planted GARDEN with trees for shade and plants and herbs for food. (Yes, the first humans on planet Earth were vegetarians. BUT they did not remain vegetarians, once Adam sinned, he brought SIN and DEATH into his realm. It was GOD who first shed blood on this planet and then HE clothed Adam and Eve with the skins of death. CLICK HERE for the first Tanner.
Thus, their food chain changed, and meat became a food staple.) It doesn’t matter to me what you eat, but vegetarians should not use the Garden of Eden as a Scriptural example of vegetarianism, for it was God who gave man permission to consume meat.

And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. (Genesis 9:1)
And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. (Genesis 9:2)
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. (Genesis 9:3)
But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. (Genesis 9:4)
And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man. (Genesis 9:5)
Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. (Genesis 9:6)

God’s DIVINE PERFECT PLAN is also revealed through the triple meaning of the name of Eden: delight and house of pleasure and plain (without anything added: pure). The Holy Spirit of God disclosed a particular name for this first GARDEN on planet Earth. Eden is only documented in the Old Testament. It was to be the home or house of pleasure for the first inhabitants, it was to be a delight to wake up every morning and to have all your needs provided, and where the glory of God surrounded your being, Eden was a place where man was clothed with the glory of God in the purity of God. BUT in God’s foreknowledge, Eden was going to be without the glory of God, a pure place made a plain place, a place of nakedness, and divested and stripped of the glory and purity of God. From an uncommon, glorified state to a place known as a plain place.
For those who like details, God also provided a lot of details about Eden. First, the word Eden is used six (6) times (the number of man) in the book of Genesis. (Genesis 2:8, 10, 15; 3:23, 24; 4:16) These six references take in man’s origin, man’s fall, and man’s dismissal from the presence of God and His removal from the GARDEN.
Then in the book of Ezekiel there are six more references about Eden. (Ezekiel 27:23; 28:13; 31:9, 16, 18; 36:35) But through these six mentions we see what occurred to man AFTER his removal from Eden. He became an unscrupulous and unprincipled merchant following the example of the first merchant in the universe and in the supernatural realm of God (Lucifer). If you follow the six references about Eden in Ezekiel, God reveals Lucifer, the father of lies, and his origin and fall; and the end of him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden . . . I love that description from Amos 1:5.
Mankind began clothed with the glory of God in Eden and mankind ends in slavery and as a captive to evil. So, in summation the six mentions of Eden in Genesis and the six mentions of Eden in Ezekiel is one continuous story. Now, tell me that the Bible was not written by God. Now, tell me that man wrote the Bible all by his little lonesome. Now, tell me that the Bible is not a Supernatural Book written by a Supernatural Author through a Supernatural God. Go ahead, I dare you!

A RIVER WENT OUT OF EDEN
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden;
Part 2

The MAIN SOURCE of life-giving water was in Eden. Remember in the beginning of this article the words SPIRITUAL, PREHISTORIC, HISTORIC, GEOGRAPHICAL and PROPHETIC RIVERS OF GENESIS CHAPTER 2 was used as a descriptive title. We will be looking at the SPIRITUAL side of a river went out of Eden to water the garden. Since the triple meaning of the word Eden developed around the theme of Adam’s loss of the glory of God, we should also take this triple meaning and view it through a spiritual lens – delight and house of pleasure and plain. The word Eden is never mentioned in the New Testament.
Carefully read . . . . And a river went out of Eden to water the garden . . . this source of LIFE-GIVING WATER was IN Eden, it was NOT in the garden, but it flowed from the main source (the fountainhead) to water a specific area called THE GARDEN. This garden was eastward IN Eden. Details, details, but each detail adds to the whole.
Eden typifies the realm of God and the throne of God, it was a house of pleasure, a delight but it also became affected by the pride and vanity of Lucifer through his failed attempt to overthrow the glory of God, and thus, God’s realm could be described as in need of judicial action, and therein this realm ceased to exemplify PURITY . . . herein the word PLAIN is accurate. The word Eden tells a story about the earth, but it also reveals a previous event in the heavenS.
Our study verse of Genesis 2:10, And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads, immediately followed Genesis 2:9, And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God set before Adam and Eve the means and opportunity to have everlasting life through the TREE OF LIFE. But to Adam and Eve, everlasting life became secondary to the knowledge of good and evil. Mankind (through the ages of his spiritual and mental derangement) still seeks after the experience and knowledge of EVIL since man believes that he is inherently good, so therefore why seek the GODNESS of God. Although mankind FEARS and DREADS the curse of death, mankind also FEARS and DREADS God’s offering of salvation because their LOVE of SIN is greater than their FEAR death. So close to the tree of life, yet Adam could not bear to, nor dare to, challenge his mate Eve, and therefore, here we are today . . . ALL of unredeemed mankind FEARING the inevitable . . . DEATH. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: (Genesis 3:22) Yes, Adam was that close to living forever, and thus all of his descendants would live forever also. Our earthly daddy threw away everlasting life and that is why mankind dies. And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. (Genesis 5:5) Although Adam had a long life, it wasn’t long enough . . . HE DIED just as God had stated in Genesis 2:17, But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
What an interesting number: 930 years . . . nine hundred (900). . . 9 x 100 or 9 x 10 x 10 and thirty (30) years . . . there has to be meaning in this number. We all should know by now that nine is the last single digit, it is the final number before double digits. Nine is also the digit for judgment, finality, the end. The number thirty (3 x 10) is numerically symbolic of God’s Divine Order. Adam’s life span of 930 years reflected man’s END and his rejection of God’s Divine Order.

GOD supplied man with the opportunity to live forever, A RIVER WENT OUT . . . hedged between the narrative of the creation of mankind in Genesis is the GOSPEL. The GOOD NEWS of a river that flowed OUT to man from God offered LIFE, everlasting life. A PURE river that offered PURE water of LIFE. Although Adam knowingly and willingly gave away everlasting life, God’s LOVE flows OUT as a pure river of forgiveness, redemption, and salvation. Adam’s offspring (as Adam acted) continues to consider God’s offer of everlasting life as something to throw away.
Since this RIVER WENT OUT from Eden to the garden, this river typifies God’s LOVE that flows from the throne of His sacrificial LOVE to the garden of the world. Eden represents God’s delight and His house and home of pleasure in His righteous Supernatural realm, and the garden is the earth.

A GARDEN EASTWARD IN EDEN
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. (Genesis 2:8)

There is no end to the magnificence of God’s written word. Those who do not follow the King James Bible miss out on not being able to see the greatness of the Author through The Law of First Mention. We are just going to briefly follow the word east or eastward in Scripture. In the second Chapter and in the eighth verse there is the first mention of the word eastward. WHY? What is so important about God specifically planting a garden EASTWARD in this garden? Why not north or west or south? East is where the sun rises, east is where the Sun of righteousness will arise with healing in his wings. East is where the tribe of Judah was stationed around the Tabernacle in the wilderness. And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab [shall be] captain of the children of Judah. (Numbers 2:3) But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, [even] before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, [shall be] Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. (Numbers 3:38) When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward. (Numbers 10:5) At the sound of the trumpet this eastward tribe advanced first before all the other tribes, and at the sound of the trumpets of war, they entered into battle first. The Lord Jesus Christ came from the tribe of Judah. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. (Revelation 22:16) And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. (Revelation 5:5) As the sun rises in the east and gives light to the world, so also the Sun of righteousness will arise with healing in His wings. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. (Malachi 4:2) In Isaiah 41:2 speaks of a righteous man FROM THE EAST to rule over kings, and further in this 41st Chapter it is the Holy One of Israel speaking. Of course, this righteous man is no other than the Lord Jesus Christ. Who raised up the righteous [man] from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made [him] rule over kings? he gave [them] as the dust to his sword, [and] as driven stubble to his bow. The following verses were specifically selected to draw readers to see the connection with the EAST and the glory of God, and the glory of God of Israel came from the way of the east, and the gate of the outward sanctuary of the millennial Temple faced the east. This EAST GATE belonged to the LORD and to Him alone.

And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city. (Ezekiel 11:23)
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. (Ezekiel 43:2)
And the glory of the LORD came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. (Ezekiel 43:4)
Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it was shut. (Ezekiel 44:1)
Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut. (Ezekiel 44:2)

From the very beginning within God’s wondrous plan of sacrifice, redemption, forgiveness and everlasting life, the east played, and continues to play, a crucial role in the planting and placement of His garden. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden. There is the garden of Eden, the garden of prayer (John 17), the garden of Gethsemane, and the garden of the tomb of death which also became the garden of resurrection and life. Yes, the LORD God planted a garden eastward in delight which became His house of pleasure and plain (PURE). The Lord speaks plainly and with purity. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. (Proverbs 8:8) They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. (Proverbs 8:9)
Now let us venture from eastward, the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden to the phrase a garden. The beauty within the word of God is boundless. The spiritual lessons within the word of God are measureless. As the Living Word of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, is boundless and measureless so He and His written word is also Infinite.

THE GARDEN
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. (Genesis 2:8)

The word garden is mentioned in forty-seven verses throughout the Bible. This word is documented thirteen times in the first book of the Bible, and it appears six times as garden and one time as gardens in the Song of Songs. I have selected the Song of Songs and not the book of Genesis to explore the theme of the word garden simply because the Song of Songs develops the theme of the spiritual history of the world while Genesis presents the beginning of man’s evil. In the thirteen mentions in Genesis the baseline and emergence of evil is predominate, however, through the six mentions also becomes seven mentions in the Song of Song: there is the theme of the natural man (the number six) AND the SPIRITUAL HISTORY (the seventh mention) of man and his world.
➤ 1. – Song 4:12 . . . A garden inclosed [is] my sister, [my] spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: (Genesis 3:22)
Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. (Genesis 3:23)
So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. (Genesis 3:24)

In the first mention, the garden (the world) is protected. That which gives life and is the source of all life is shut up and sealed from man as a ROCK frozen from the evil of the world.
➤ 2 and 3. – Song 4:16 . . . Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, [that] the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.
In the second and third mention of garden in Song 4:16, the winds of war continually engulfed the earth, God never left the earth without the evidence and witness (the number 2) of His love.
➤ 4. – Song 5:1 . . . I am come into my garden, my sister, [my] spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.
In the fourth mention of garden in Song 5:1, As God blessed Joseph (Israel’s lost son) with the gift of myrrh (Genesis 43:11), and as God revived Jonathan with a honeycomb and Samson with honey, God continued to act throughout the earth’s history drawing the world to Himself.
➤ 5 and 6. – Song 6:2 . . . My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
Through this fifth and sixth mention of garden(s), God’s Beloved Son came to earth, into His garden (mentioned two times), and went DOWN into death in a bed of spices and gathered those (the lilies) who were washed in His sacrificial blood. This fourth reference is centered around the death and resurrection of God’s Beloved Son. Christ went DOWN into His garden, into the virgin tomb in the garden of Calvary. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. (John 19:41) After His resurrection, the power of everlasting life was revealed through the resurrection of (the lilies) the bodies of the saints which slept arose. And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, (Matthew 27:52) And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. (Matthew 27:53)
➤ 7. – Song 6:11 . . I went down into the garden of nuts to see the fruits of the valley, [and] to see whether the vine flourished, [and] the pomegranates budded. In the seventh and last mention of garden we have the fruits of salvation flourishing under the protective hands of the UNSEEN God . . . the Holy Spirit correctly describes the earth as the garden of nuts . . . and fruits . . . please allow me some space for humor. But do you not see the fruits of the valley of death, and the budded pomegranates on the hem of the High Priest of God, Melchisedec, represented in the garments of the earthly high priest Aaron in Exodus 28:33, And [beneath] upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates [of] blue, and [of] purple, and [of] scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about. The seven mentions of garden in the Book of the Song of Songs are clearly the summation of the spiritual history of God’s earth.
And now to go to the last mention of garden in Scripture . . . Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. (John 19:41) Two mentions of garden (the witness) and in the second mention there is a new sepulchre. From the first mention to the last mention of garden, the theme gained momentum as a mighty river of purity powered by the energy and force of the love of God.
As this mighty river of the power and love of God went out of Eden (heaven) and watered God’s garden, the garden called Earth it was parted into four heads. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10) Notice that at this point in Scripture, it does NOT say that it became into four rivers, BUT into four heads. This is an important distinction: from ONE HEAD (the GODHEAD bodily) to four heads. The Supernatural Author placed another concept into His narrative: the idea of four heads. See how easily He slips in another direction, another trail, another adversarial situation into His word. And see how easily readers and students of the Bible just read over these narrative changes. I also missed this narrative change, but He who wrote the words (the PERFECT words) also has the power to lead our hearts and minds TO a SPECIFIC point through a deeper reach outside of His original narrative. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)
As the river of water went out of Eden into the world to bring life to the world and to man, so also, the sin of man went out into the world as a sea of waters burying rebellious man under its raging shame and iniquity.
Does this article finally end at this point? I do not know. As the Word of God, the Lord Jesus Christ is eternal and infinite, there is also no end to the written word of God. Hopefully, and prayerfully, I ask that God would bless readers with the JOY of loving the Word of God and loving the word of God. May the river of God strongly flow through your heart and soul with the joy of the water of life from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
<<To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.>> God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; (Psalm 46:2)
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. (Psalm 46:3)
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. (Psalm 46:4)
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. (Psalm 46:5)

~

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Revelation 22:1)
