THE RIVERS
Part 2
A RIVER WENT OUT
It was Parted
and Became into Four Heads
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)
INTRODUCTION
The best introduction that I can think of is to simply write . . . READ the previous article . . . Part 1. CLICK HERE for Part 1. Without the previous article marinading while immersed in your spiritual memory then this current article will probably lack meaning and unity. However, I cannot resist writing: if you do not read Part 1, then this is what you will miss: generationS BEFORE creation, the purpose for time, fixity of species, apparent age in creation, the three parts to the Empire of God, the theory of angels sexually mingling with mankind, the message within the word mist, why division and separation of light from darkness?, what is the deep?, what is the river?, why the first mention of Eden?, why did Adam live 930 years?, why the garden was planted eastward in Eden?, and the spiritual history of the world seen through the seven mentions of the word garden. There is much in Part 1, I wonder what the Holy Spirit of God will venture into in Part 2? Don’t you feel sorry for people who believe that there is neither truth, value nor relevancy within the Bible? The following section is a BASIC outline of our current study theme.

THE SPIRITUAL, PREHISTORIC, HISTORIC, GEOGRAPHICAL and PROPHETIC RIVERS OF GENESIS CHAPTER 2
A RIVER WENT OUT
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)
THE FIRST RIVER
The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; (Genesis 2:11)
And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. (Genesis 2:12)
THE SECOND RIVER
And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. (Genesis 2:13)
THE THIRD RIVER
And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. (Genesis 2:14)
THE FOURTH RIVER
And the fourth river is Euphrates. (Genesis 2:14)
For those who made the mistake of refusing to READ Part 1, the following section is copied FROM Part 1 because the Holy Spirit of God DELIBERATELY INSERTS a subject seemingly totally outside of the theme of the creation of mankind placed in the garden of Eden. Five verses about RIVERS are dropped in the middle of the narrative about the creation of mankind. Here is a DIVISION . . . a thoughtful calculated positioning of a theme about RIVERS smack dab in the middle of the theme of the creation of mankind.
Please notice the difference in how these verses are presented in their formatting from the justification from left to right and how verses 10 through 14 are centered. I want you to SEE the DIFFERENCE not only in formatting but the difference in SUBJECT MATTER.
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. (Genesis 2:1)
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (Genesis 2:2)
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. (Genesis 2:3)
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, (Genesis 2:4)
And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. (Genesis 2:5)
But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. (Genesis 2:6)
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. (Genesis 2:8)
And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:9)

A RIVER WENT OUT
ONE Source – ONE Head – ONE Spring
The GODHEAD Bodily Supreme
The Eternal Godhead
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)
This RIVER was symbolic of the Godhead Bodily in the Spirit of God and typified GOD IN CHRIST watering His garden (the garden of God) with grace and truth. This RIVER flowed from ONE HEAD, from one SOURCE, and from one SPRING of the FOUNTAIN of life from the throne of God.
The last book in the Bible has three references concerning the word water tied to God. First, this fountain of the water of life is freely given from God Himself. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. (Revelation 21:6) Secondly, this water of life is a PURE river that goes out from the throne of God and of the Lamb, therefore, it is linked to the blood of sacrifice. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Revelation 22:1) And that sacrifice is the blood of God through the veins of His Son, Jesus Christ. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. (Acts 20:28) Thirdly, Revelation 22:7 is an invitation from the Spirit and the bride of Christ saying, Come . . . Come . . come . . . three times. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. (Revelation 22:7) Come and FREELY take this water of life, FREELY take life everlasting. YOU can FREELY regain what Adam, your earthly father, freely gave away.
This river that went OUT of Eden to water the garden was from ONE source, ONE fountain head and that was the GODHEAD Bodily Supreme who was not only the fountain of life but the Light of the world. For with thee [is] the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. (Psalm 36:9) (Keep this number (3 – 6 – 9) in your memory bank for future use.)
In Jeremiah 2:13 the LORD proclaimed that HE was the FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATER. For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. And 17:13 of Jeremiah reinforces that proclamation. O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters. Then in the New Testament in the gospel of John, Chapter 4, verse 14, (4 – 1 – 4) the Lord Jesus Christ, speaking to the woman of Samaria at the well of Jacob, proclaimed that HE was that fountain of living waters as a well of water springing up into everlasting life. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Note how the Holy Spirit differentiates between the fountain of living waters and a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Do you see this difference and why this difference? The LORD GOD as the fountain of living waters was not only the MAIN SOURCE, but He was also the river mentioned in Genesis Chapter 2; and the LORD GOD was also as a well of water springing up into everlasting life . . . A WELL, a container, a vessel or a conduit. Think of the fountain and the well in this manner: The Father was the SOURCE, and the Lord Jesus Christ was the WELL. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John 1:4) For it pleased [the Father] that in him should all fulness dwell; (Colossians 1:19)
Genesis Chapter 2 is a Chapter of mystery and history, of fact and fate, and of the Supernatural and the natural. One of the mysteries lies not in the mystery itself but in God’s revelation of this mystery. Smack dab in the middle of the creation narrative the Holy Spirit of God inserts another narrative. Consider how the Holy Spirit of God began His written word with the beginning of creation, then earth in a ruined state, then the revelation of Spiritual Light that was GOOD and in opposition to a spiritual darkness. Goodness cannot be tolerant of evil, nor should it be. God does not tolerate evil. Consider that this principle that God does not and cannot tolerate evil as the main principle of separation and division shown in Genesis 1:4, And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Spiritual evil was exposed and expressed as physical darkness.
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:2) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (Genesis 1:3) And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:4)
In the very beginning of God’s executive decree and word, which we call the Bible and the Scriptures, He set His great theme: first, He, the writer and Author, is GOD, and that He is the CREATOR of the heaven and the earth; secondly, there is a Supernatural Spiritual UNSEEN world and a natural SEEN world; thirdly, there is a dreadful blackened face of the force of evil called darkness, and another more powerful force of GOOD called THE LIGHT. God through His Holy Spirit from the get-go sets before His creatures the reality and truth of their position. Mankind was created to dwell in a natural SEEN world with spiritual privileges of the UNSEEN world. Man was created with a body (SEEN), a soul and spirit (UNSEEN). Although man’s body would remain as SEEN, man would be able to communicate with the Spiritual UNSEEN, but there was one main condition, it was The Law of Sin and Death.
Aha! Okeydokey, alrighty, now where does that leave us in this article? The subject area is in how quickly God changes the narrative, and why He changes the narrative? In the creation narrative, Genesis 1:1-4, God sets this MASSIVE immeasurable universe before us. I am not speaking of the physical universe with trillions of galaxies spiraling in the vacuum of blackness, but the spiritual universe of God dividing the light from the darkness. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. (Genesis 1:4) Within the physical world there is the spiritual world, a greater world, a more powerful world, a universe of light and a life force energized by the light of the glory of God.
We hold in our hands this MASSIVE spiritual universe, and through its pages we are able to travel through time and timelessness and space. God has done His job well, but it is the reader and the seeker of truth who has a difficult time in navigating through the pages of this written spiritual universe. We miss the changes in narratives; we confuse past history with future history. We categorize when we should not. Many erroneously claim that the Old Testament is not for the Christian, and the New Testament is only for the Christian. We mix together the spiritual world and the natural world as scrambled eggs. The spiritual world and the natural world are both separate and yet connected. God teaches the natural world through spiritual principals, and He teaches spiritual principles through natural and sometimes painful experiences.
Our current study revolves around Genesis 2:10 – 14 and within these few verses, as I have previously written there is a drastic change in SUBJECT MATTER. As this mighty river of the power and love of God went out of Eden (heaven) and watered God’s garden, the garden called Earth, it became parted into four heads. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10) Notice that at this point in Scripture, it does NOT say that it became into four rivers, BUT into four heads. This is an important distinction: from ONE HEAD (the GODHEAD bodily) to four heads.
—-◆—–
THE RIVER WAS PARTED
AND BECAME INTO FOUR HEADS
Part 1
The Four Heads
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)
Here it comes, repetition. Repetition is much more than a literary device, and is often quoted as the ‘the mother of learning.’ However, allow me to add a biblical principle: to repeat a statement is most often the strongest point to cause the deliberate disregard of that statement. Thus, the spiritual principle is based on man’s inherent hatred towards God’s repetition of HIS SOVEREIGN WILL and POWER. For example, follow the repetition of the phrase THOU SHALT NOT and understand how mankind HATES godly repetition.
So, where is the repetition in our study verse? It is the beginning of the repetition of the number four in the FOUR HEADS. The first mention of four heads will lead the seeker of truth into many rivers, from the four rivers to the four kings to the four winds, to the four wings, to the four living creatures, to the four horns, the four chariots and to the four beasts to the four heads. There is much ahead for us in the words four heads.
There is no end to the written word of God as there is no end to the Living Word of God. But do not worry, because the Spirit of God will lead the way forward. Remember back in page 4 we had this number (4 – 1 – 4) in reference to the gospel of John Chapter 4, verse 14 when Christ, speaking to the woman of Samaria at the well of Jacob, proclaimed that HE was and IS that fountain of living waters as a well of water springing up into everlasting life. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Why the reference address of (4 – 1 – 4)? The number four (4) represents the earth, it is the earth number. Christ, as the Godhead Bodily is the number ONE, HE is the CENTER of all things . . . He is the CORE and the HUB of all that moves and exists on planet Earth . . . (4 – 1 – 4). In John 4:14, Christ states that He the source and the substance of ALL that lives and that everlasting life springs from His Being alone. The wealth that is contained through the words of Scripture and the hidden richness that is added to the words through the number structure (although added centuries later) reveals the power of the foreknowledge of the Holy Spirit of God. Our GOD is a great God. For the LORD your God [is] God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward. (Deuteronomy 10:17) Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13)
The RIVER OF GOD watered the garden in Eden, and the RIVER OF GOD watered the garden of Earth, and from there . . . in the EARTH . . . it was PARTED and the RIVER OF GOD became into four heads. Notice that the Bible does not say by whom it was parted nor by whom it became into four heads. But here is where God ALLOWS His RIVER to become parted and to become into four heads.
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)
After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. (Daniel 7:6)
The phrase four heads is mentioned only twice in Scripture, in this two fold mention of four heads it was placed first in Genesis 2:10 and lastly in Daniel 7:6 as a deliberate connection to each other. (To find the source of all evil, it is commonly said, Follow the money; and to find the spiritual connection or the spiritual truth, I say, Follow the mentions.)
First, it is necessary to understand that this RIVER represented the spiritual RIVER OF GOD that proceeded OUT of the throne of God that gave everlasting life to the earth. Maybe the reader is beginning to understand why God placed these five verses about water and the river that was parted into the narrative of man’s creation. The Holy Spirit of God wrote about the creation of mankind (Adam) but to ADD to the simplicity (simple for our mental condition) He ADDED a deeper understanding through these five verses of His spiritual world through prophecy.
The reader is being deliberately led from Genesis 2:10 to the book of Daniel, Chapter 7, verse 6 by the Spirit of God. The book of Daniel is the 27th book in the Bible with 12 chapters. History is its main concern: the history of Israel past, the history of the Israel current and future, the history of the eastern world (past, present and future), and the history of the city and nation of Babylon, and the history of the man Daniel. For students of history, here is good advice: put aside ALL your books of the history of the Empires of the world from the Greek, Egyptian, Persian and Roman Empires and dynasties and read the book of Daniel. For those who are concerned about the absence of great and ancient cultures and civilizations such as the Oriental and Asian cultures and the South American societies, the Bible is about EASTERN nations, the familiar term is The Middle East, which takes in Egypt, Mesopotamia (Iraq, Iran, Turkey) Ethiopia, and scores of other border nations. (Many citizens of the United States believe that the world revolves only around their favorite sports team, or their church schedule, or when their friendly neighborhood bar opens and closes. The only history that millions are interested in is the timing of their welfare check and their ‘freebies.’ )
Never forget nor disregard that God established the beginning of ALL cultures and ALL nations around THREE primary sources: Ham, Shem and Japheth. Wherever you are in this world, and whatever nation who are associated with, YOU are either of Ham, or of Shem or of Japheth. Therefore, as God set these three streams of mankind afloat on the tumultuous waves of history, YOU are part of God’s plan and program. The only nationality that you should seek to become a part of is THE HOLY NATION OF GOD, the chosen generation, the royal priesthood and a peculiar people.
● Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (Matthew 28:19)
● But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: (1st Peter 2:9)
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. (1st Peter 2:10)
● And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; (Revelation 5:9)
● After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; (Revelation 7:9)
Now back to our article and the book of Daniel. I really do not want to be in the book of Daniel, in fact, I try to keep away from this book because it is beyond my pay grade. But, nevertheless, the Spirit of God deliberately connected Daniel 7:6 with Genesis 2:10.
(Mini-Side Note: Through the four heads In Genesis 2:10 we have the number structure and the hidden message and witness (2) of God’s Perfect Order (10), and in Daniel 7:6 we have God’s Perfection (7) and timing for mankind (6). ♦ End of Mini-Side Note.)
This river that went out of Eden and became into four heads, and in time these four heads became part of the evolution of The Beast. What Beast? Read Daniel 7:6 again, After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. Again, notice that we have the numbers 7 and 6. Six, the number of man, and seven is the number of the divine perfection of God. What is recorded in this historical and prophetical book of Daniel is SET and determined by God’s divine perfect timing for man.
Twice we have the number four in Daniel 7:6, four wings of a fowl . . . and the beast had also four heads. . . four wings of a fowl and four heads. I warned you that this was neither going to be easy nor pretty. Again, God uses numbers to add more understanding to His words. . . four wings of a fowl (that which has the power to move through the air and time, and four heads (rulers and kings and kingdoms). This Beast in Daniel 7:6 had four wings of a fowl; therefore, it was time related as it flew from one evil dynasty into the next evil dynasty. How do we know that it was evil? Easy, the word fowl gives us the main clue. The word fowl or/and bird denotes evil, and not just stationary evil but evil that TRAVELED in the air through time, through history and through dynasties. This evil was and is always moving. To get the full hidden meaning in the words fowl or bird, read the full context around the following verses.
● As a cage is full of birds, so [are] their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. (Jeremiah 5:27)
● And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away. (Genesis 15:11)
● And these [are they which] ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they [are] an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, (Leviticus 11:13)
● All fowls that creep, going upon [all] four, [shall be] an abomination unto you. (Genesis 11:20)
● I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD. (Zephaniah 1:3)
● And when he sowed, some [seeds] fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: (Matthew 13:4)
● And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. (Mark 4:4)
● A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. (Luke 8:5)
● And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: (Acts 10:11)
Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. (Acts 10:12)
And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. (Acts 10:13)
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. (Acts 10:14)
Both the Old Testament and the New Testament witnesses to the symbolism of the bird or to the fowl. Also notice the connection to death, to carcasses, to dead things, to the unclean, and to deceit and guile. There are scores more references, however, I selected the more obvious references.
If you are getting tired, I have good news for you . . . we are not yet finished . . . Hahahahaha . . . did I ever inform you that I have a mean streak? So, you’re tired. Stop and get a cookie and make some warm Ovaltine. I’ll be back with you in a Florida minute . . . that’s a leisurely moment of time . . . . . . .
The four headed beast not only had four kingdoms or Empires, but it had the character of a leopard. After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. (Daniel 7:6) Swifter than horses (Habakkuk 1:8); observant and murderous (Jeremiah 5:6); born with a sinful nature and unchangeable (Jeremiah 13:23); and always lurking by the way (Hosea 13:7). From the SIX mentions of the word leopard, the last mention in Revelation 13:2 not only describes the character of The Beast but it discloses its power, its seat (position) and its authority. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. This Beast of Revelation 13 comes to its fullest and its fulfillment through a man (the number 6 – 6 – 6) and by its quick bearlike movements and through its brash voice roars out his supposed godness and economic/military/religious control over the world. This soulless Beast is Lucifer/Satan manifested to mind controlled mankind in the form of a man with the movement, and heart and mouth of a BEAST. Mankind is being prepped to serve and worship this Beast. Man has already turned over his knowledge, his sanity, his voice, his body, his history, and his mind over to Satan. The last thing that Satan desires to own and to control is what drove Lucifer/Satan insane in the very beginning. Do you know what that was? God formed man of the dust of the earth. And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) From this dust God not only formed man BUT God created man in His own image. So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 1:27) Lucifer’s/Satan’s last goal is to destroy that image. That is insanity at it’s highest level of rage and madness. From angel of light to beast of darkness . . . what a fall! From man in the image of God to man in the manifested image of a beast . . . what a fall! And yet, this is neither a fairy tale, nor a game of thrones but this is reality: spiritual reality in a unspiritual world. As mankind spirals downward into madness, think how far that the rogue angel Lucifer has spiraled downward into endless madness. Within our galaxy, The Milky Way, there are many suns, and there are many planetary systems and many solar systems as our own, and a vast measureless number of stars, and many massive black holes, but there is ONE constant that makes our Earth unique and solitary but not forsaken. That constant is GOD.
Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. (Isaiah 46:8)
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, (Isaiah 46:9)
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: (Isaiah 46:10)
As we delve into the four heads, and the four wings, and the beast, they can become depressing themes of the end times. It is always needful to remember that although we exist on a constantly moving planet, and in a constantly moving galaxy and in a constantly active universe there is ONE CONSTANT, ONE Source – ONE Head – ONE Spring. From this CONSTANT and unchanging river of God all the evils that flow around us as streams of spiritual madness can NEVER undo the determinate counsels of God. It is right to acknowledge the reality of the madness of SIN, but NEVER forget to praise the reality of the GLORY OF GOD. Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: (Jeremiah 9:23) But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 9:24)
Now back to the four heads in the book of Daniel 7:6. The number four (4) in the book of Daniel is a tremendous opportunity to delve into prophecy. I am struggling to remain on the trail of the four heads.
Side Note: The Baby Basics of Prophetical history and the book of Daniel. The book of Daniel has 12 Chapters, and twelve is the number for both Israel (the 12 sons of Jacob) and the 12 apostles. Through the Chapters in Scripture that are labeled by the number twelve (12) they all have a common theme: Revelation Chapter 12 (Israel and the last battle for survival), Daniel Chapter 12 (Israel in the midst of their last battle for survival), Zechariah Chapter 12 (Jerusalem as the focal point and target in its last battle for survival) and the double of twelve in Matthew 24 have a common theme (the last battle before the King’s millennial reign in Jerusalem). They all deal with the same time period in the prophetic history of Israel. The same 7 year period, the same 3 ½ time frame, and the same 42 months. ◆ End of Side Note.
The river parting and becoming into four heads is the Holy Spirit’s way to lead the reader into many time frames.
✂ ———- ❖ ———- ✂
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)
The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; (Genesis 2:11)
And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.(Genesis 2:12)
And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. (Genesis 2:13)
And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. (Genesis 2:14)
✂ ———- ❖ ———- ✂
These four heads were four different kingdoms, four distinct systems, four diverse ages under four not dissimilar lineages. Each one of the four kingdoms evolved into a more advanced technological and military era, and each one of the four kingdoms became more beastly and brutal than the previous kingdom. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian. (Daniel 6:28) The kingdom that overcame the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar, and that conquered Babylon was the kingdom of Persia. The history of Persia had its roots in the tower of Babel as all the tyrannical systems that followed had its roots in Babel and Babylon. From Chapter 7 onward the book of Daniel was both prophetic (for them at that age) AND historical (for us) concerning an age where tyrants as Roman Caesar’s and Alexander the Great and Alexander wannabe’s longingly circled the civilizations of the East waiting for their moment of glory and fame. Although we call the area of Iran, Iraq, Ethiopia, and Egypt by many different national names, Genesis Chapter 2 names two nations that we are familiar with: Ethiopia and Assyria, however Genesis 2:14 (there’s that number again, the number 4) supplies the fourth river, the fourth head, the fourth Beast: the area of the Euphrates river: IRAN, IRAQ, BABYLON and where is Iran, Iraq and Babylon . . . PERSIA. And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than [they] all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia. (Daniel 11:2) This conflict between Persia and the realm of the Greeks took place millenniums past; however, the 11th Chapter of Daniel in verse 2 prophetically reveals the state and condition of the end times when the fourth king of Persia, the last king of Persia will be far richer than [they] all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the powers of the realm of Grecia . . . the national powers outside of the Persian realm and kingdom was referred to as Grecia (peoples not of the Persian world).
The Holy Spirit of God often rolls out prophecy (the future) through past historical events. One quick example would be the prophecy in Genesis 3:15, And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. That is definitely a past historical happening and the prophecy was again historically fulfilled and accomplished in another moment in the past with the cross of Christ on Golgotha, (And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called [the place] of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: John 19:1) the place of the skull, bruised the head of Goliath, the agent and representative of Satan. The skull of Goliath was placed in that exact location in Jerusalem centuries previous by the victorious warrior known as David, (before David took his place as king of Israel) . . . And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent. (1st Samuel 17:54) Not only does the Holy Spirit roll out one prophecy over another prophecy, but he also lays time over time, and kingdoms over kingdoms. We see Persia through the lense of kingdoms and not through the element of time. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than [they] all.
As I write this (February 8, 2026) Iran and Persia are once more in the news. Living in our current age of the celebration of insanity, the age of valid conspiracies and hidden coup’s through internal and foreign political intrigues, the age of liars and lies, the age of religious and ideological falsified fervor, and knowing that in the next moment many nations will fall, and many houses of power will collapse and be no more, the nation of Iran may dissolve and in its place the Empire of Persia may once more become a throne of power to reckon with . . . or it may not, but once again come close to revolution but at the last second be financially and militarily aided by rulers of nations who surreptitiously are traitors to their own nations (much like our own Congress). Instead of replacing a devil with an unknown entity our Congress prefers to support the devil that they know than the entity that they do not know and do not want to know. So, here we are on the stage of revolution or revelation.
Here we are . . . history closes a curtain and another stage of history commences . . . Iran/Persia. Scripture plays out and unfurls the rebirth of the fourth Persian realm that will be the re-birthing place of The Beast, the man of sin, yet to come. This coming of the rebirth of the kingdom of Persia is a long time in man’s time frame. Persia is one of the oldest empires among many great empires. The United States will most probably be only an historical footnote compared to the volumes yet to be written about the kingdom and Empire of Persia. An addendum to be included attached to this footnote could probably read: the USA dissolved into many weak political factions due to the menace of forced collectivism, the traitorous actions and inactions by its Congress, the lack of classical education, the loss of common sense and intelligence through the mixing and inbreeding of conflicted and polarized cultures, and especially caused by the denial of God and the rejection of His Living WORD and of His written word; consequently, the hopes of the people for a just government became as dust through the betrayal of their own unjust and corrupt government.
Notice the progression of the kingdom of Persia according to the book of Daniel. Through five (5) verses, Persia is mentioned six (6) times.
● The ram which thou sawest having [two] horns [are] the kings of Media and Persia. (Daniel 8:20)
● In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing [was] true, but the time appointed [was] long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision. (Daniel 10:1)
● But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. (Daniel 10:13)
● Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. (Daniel 10:20)
● And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than [they] all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia. (Daniel 11:2)
Since millions know nothing about Scripture nor about the prophecies within the book of Daniel, they cannot understand that they are living in one of the most intriguing periods of time ever in the history of man . . . the possibility of the reemergence of a national Persia on the political and global stage of power and influence. As I write, Persia has stopped waiting in the wings, but is now actually front and center in the spotlight. But will it be seen as the new Iran?, will the spotlight shine on Persia? Or will the spotlight be militarily and financially moved to shine on the mullah’s and the murderous Islamic Republic under the deadly tyrannical control of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. THE RIVER WAS PARTED
AND BECAME INTO FOUR HEADS
Part 2
The Parting
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. (Genesis 2:10)
The 46th Chapter of the book of Psalms verse 4 begins with THERE IS A RIVER. Who is this message for? It is for both man (the number six) and for the world (the number four). From the first mention of world (4) to the last mention of world (4), man is joined and chained together with the world – 46:4. This river although UNSEEN is much more than an actual seen river. It is not an imaginary river. It is THE RIVER OF GOD. It does not flow only as a single force, but this river has STREAMS that flow out from it.
¶ <<To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.>> God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; (Psalm 46:2)
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. (Psalm 46:3)
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. (Psalm 46:4)
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. (Psalm 46:5)
There is a difference between the river parting and streams flowing from the river. One denotes separation and the other a continuation. Through Genesis 2:10 God the Holy Spirit disclosed a GREAT PARTING that had occurred in the Supernatural realm of the Supernatural GODHEAD in what is called The Heavens. This GREAT PARTING was disclosed through symbolism because the reality of this parting was beyond man’s understanding. Then to further instruct man of a GREAT PARTING that would occur in the natural world on planet Earth, God continued to use symbolism, a river (His POWER) to water the garden (His created earth and those who dwelt thereon) and it was parted (rebellion entered (Satan) and parted man from God, and man from man, and husband from wife) and became into four heads (the rebels became four main earthly kingdoms and adversaries led by Satan in the battle for the control of man and over the earth). The story of REBELLION, and the struggle between THE RIVER and other rivers, and the WAR between the GODHEAD bodily and the four heads as sweeping rivers of chaos, sin and death engulfed the garden and all that was around the garden. Symbolism and substance, the heavens and the earth, spiritual history and natural history, the past and the future prophetically side by side in one verse, Genesis 2:10. We have a great and wondrous God and the Master Wordsmith.
Through the FOUR RIVERS the Holy Spirit of God continues to TEACH the seekers of truth more about Himself, His plan, His program, His WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING, KNOWLEDGE and ALL MANNER OF WORKMANSHIP. Before God delves into the creation of man, He first prophetically presents the ongoing UNSEEN battle that mankind will become an ally with alongside the principal and main protagonist: Lucifer/Satan.
There were a lot of elements that were parted. Before Adam, the universe had experienced a chaotic parting of evil from goodness, lies were parted from truth, iniquity was parted from righteousness and angels were parted from angels. Everything that the natural or tangible world experienced or will yet experience FIRST occurred in the spiritual realm. First, came the spiritual sphere THEN the natural sphere. Nothing that occurs on earth happens outside the events within the supernatural spiritual realm first.
Both the heavens and the earth experienced WAR. Both the heavens and the earth sustained the consequences of SIN. The sin of man had to be cleansed, and it was cleansed through the sacrificial blood of God Himself through His manifested presence through the Body of the Lord Jesus Christ. The sin of the disobedient angels that tainted the realm of God also had to be cleansed and it was cleansed through the sacrificial blood of God on the cross of Christ. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. (Acts 20:28) How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:14) Often we do not consider that we (Christians, the born-again ones) were and are redeemed through the BLOOD of God, by the sacrificial BODY of Christ, and by His eternal Spirit. God’s GREATEST act was much greater than His creatorial accomplishment for it was centered around His LOVE for His heavens and His earth. Both realms were tainted by sin. Both realms had been corrupted by rebellion, and both realms have to be made NEW once more. His redemption plan was much more than a plan, and much more than redemption. Here again, there are no earthly words, nor worldly concepts that can describe nor categorize THE MANY LOVES of God. There is a purpose for the need of a new heaven and a new earth.
● And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. (Revelation 21:1)
● Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly: (Job 4:18)
● Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight. (Job 15:15)
● Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. (Job 25:5)
● For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. (Isaiah 65:17)
● And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. (Luke 8:31)
● Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (John 8:44)
● For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (2nd Peter 2:4)
● Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2nd Peter 3:13)
● He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (1st John 3:8)
● And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. (Jude 1:6)
Through the creation of a future new heaven and a new earth there is yet another parting. A GREAT PARTING from a heaven and earth that had willingly come under the control of our adversary, Satan, to a NEWER heaven and earth. This GREAT PARTING is first revealed to mankind in our study theme through five study verses in Genesis 2.
Did you notice that we moved away from the book of Daniel and the theme of THE BEAST, the fourth kingdom, the fourth beast, and the kings of Persia. The following verses are for your consideration BUT we at this point will not be dealing with the following verses. This fourth kingdom, and the fourth beast is central to the fourth river.
● And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all [things]: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. (Daniel 2:40)
● After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it [was] diverse from all the beasts that [were] before it; and it had ten horns. (Daniel 7:7)
● Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth [were of] iron, and his nails [of] brass; [which] devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; (Daniel 7:19)
● Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. (Daniel 7:23)
● And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than [they] all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia. (Daniel 1:2)
The reason that we are moving away from these verses in Daniel is simply because we will be dealing with Daniel and these verses again as we row down the rivers in our study section in future articles. (God willing). But nevertheless, it does not hurt to read the selected verses in Daniel for future recognition. There is much more to learn concerning the subject of the four heads, and we will once more be drawn into that subject when we get to Genesis 2:14. But for now, we have Genesis 2:11 and 12 to enjoy. Aren’t you excited? Hopefully, you have enjoyed this current post. See you at the next posting. God bless!
The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; (Genesis 2:11) And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. (Genesis 2:12)
